How can I trade my 4th generation iPod for a 5th generation

How can I do that if I don't live close enough to an Apple store?

Apple will only give you a 10% recycling discount if you turn in an old iPod when you purchase a new one. Better off selling it yourself.

how can you connect your 4th gen ipod touch to a 3g network?

Yu need a device like the following:
    - A MiFi or similar. They are credit-card size devices that act a wifi hotspot and then connect to a cellulare network
    - Use a smart phone that can act as a wifi hotspot to share it s cellular connection. An iPhone will also do that via bluetooth. You need to purchase a tethering plan .

If the iPod was purchased from Apple with the last 14 days you can return for a full refund and then purchase the 32 GB one. Otherwise,

  • How can I transfer music 8(or video) from my 5th Generation iPod to Itunes?

I have a 80GB iPod (Fifth Generation), and I have TONS AND TONES OF MUSIC!!! That I'd like to share with friends, or burn to use in other ocasions--- the thing is that it's not purchased MP3, most of it couldn't be at store... you know, exotic music, ok? And I don't get yet how th sync with iTunes works!!! I don't want to have 10 GB of music in my PC, that was the reason I bought iPod!!! SO if anyone can tell how can I transfer to iTunes from iPod, or sync them without erasing the contents from iPod

"I have TONS AND TONES OF MUSIC!!! That I'd like to share with friends"
There's a good reason why Apple did not make it possible to transfer music from iPods using iTunes (other than purchased music to an authorized computer).
The clue is in your post. : )

  • How can I trade-in my old MacBook for the gift card but transfer my files to the new one?

I currently have the late-2008 unibody Aluminum 13.3" Macbook with 2.4Ghz processor. I love this computer it still works great over five years after buying it. However, I feel like now is a good time to upgrade to the new MacBook Pro with Retina display as my battery is reaching the end of its life and I am slowly running out of storage on my machine. I was considering upgrading the parts to keep the machine alive and save me some money, but I saw that you can trade in the old computer and I can get around $200 which is great. My question is how can I trade in my old notebook while transferring all of my files, applications, etc. to the new machine? If I did the trade in after moving all of my data I would just have a gift card that can no longer be used towards the purchase of the new machine, so I would like to find a way to figure this out.

    Hi r,
Transfer the data to an external HD, either with Time Machine or a cloning app such as Super Duper! or Carbon Copy Cloner.

  • How can i get my photos and videos back after backing up from my 2nd generation ipod into my 5th generation ipod? I really need those photos but i dont know how.

I downloaded the new itunes. So, i plugged in my 5th generation ipod and when i plugged it in, it asked me if i want to set it as new ipod or back up from the 2nd generation ipod touch that i plugged in before, i accidently clicked on the back up from before so it when its done, it looked like my 2nd gen. ipod and i dont like it. All my photos and videos from 5th gen. Ipod were all gone and there are some pictures that i really need as soon as possible. Is there a way i can i can get those photos and videos back? I really need them. :(

Did you fail to import them to your computer?
If so, then they are gone.

  • 1st generation ipod touch to 5th generation music transfer

I have a 1st generation iPod touch and I want to trade it in and purchase a 5th generation iPod touch. My computer completely died a few days ago, so I do not have access to my iTunes to sync my music to my new iPod touch. Is there a way I can transfer my music from my old iPod touch to my new one aside from using iTunes? (This is probably a dumb question, but I thought I'd ask. I'm not really technology savvy)

The people at the ape store should help you transfer it to he new device.

  • 5th generation ipod freeze up, 5th generation ipod freeze up

fifth generation ipod freeze up, & light staying on, with filly charge battery.

Are you able to perform a hard reset of it?  To do this, press and hold both the Select (Center) and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.  Be sure to try this more than once.
Otherwise, if the iPod remains frozen, you may have to let the battery drain.  Then connect it to a power source and let it charge up.

  • Can exchange my 4th generation ipod for the 5th

Hi i got my ipod 4th generation last christmas from family i think i have the recipet can i exchange for the new one for the back looks less like its going to get damaged. also it looks more convenient too.

Apple does not take trade-ins. In a few countries Apple does work with a company who will give you some return on an existing device; for the US, see:
    http://www.apple.com/recycling/gift-card/
Similar programs are available in a few other countries, and some dealers may have their own trade-in programs. But you most probably can get more for your device if you sell it yourself.
    Regards.

  • Can I use a 4th generation cable for a 5th generation iPod?

I recently bought a video ipod because my 4th generation one died. Is it possible to use my 4th generation firewire cable and wall plug to charge my ipod in the wall? I would really like to not have to buy a USB wall plug.
I figured I can't use this to sync my ipod - I read that the ipod is optimized for USB 2 now. Am I right about that?
Please let me know. I'm curious. Thanks.

You can indeed use the 4g with the new 5g but only for charging. I did it and it was fine.

i bought the new ipod 5g in december, and i was wondering if i can trade get a iphone?
where can i get it done?
because i am tired of caryying a phone and a ipod around

Apple won't give you more than 10% off the price of a new device. If the iPod is in working order, sell it to someone else and put the money towards an iPhone.
