Interesting note: I can see the files when I use the search function, but when I tap either file, I return to my home screen. The video does not open. I can transfer the file to my MBA, and it plays fine, but I cannot figure out a way to delete them.

The problem is I can no longer back up my photo and video files taken on my phone, saved to my mac, by copying them and saving them on a USB stick or other external hard drive.
Select the photos and videos in Photos and use the command "File > Export" and select a folder on your USB stick to save the photos to.

How can I capture AVHDC video files from Panasonic HD video camera??

I just received a Panasonic HS300 video camera and can't copy the video files on my computer.
I see several files in the CAM_HDD camera folder on the desktop. But the only relevant files for me to copy are the JPG photos. I don't see any video files.
In the specs of the camera they write that I should have a Mac with an Intel processor. Is that the problem???
I even tried to copy the files on a PC (I succeeded) and then brought them on my computer with a USB stick. It didn't work: again, the only relevant files that I could see were the JPG, no trace of any video (but they were indeed on that USB stick!!).
How can I access those video files and use them in Final Cut Pro, or even iMovie??
I'm becoming afraid that i won't be able to use that camera unless I buy a new Mac now!!!

the native iMovie / FC AVCHD codecs are only for Intel Macs, the format is a highly compressed HD format which needs to be unpacked & converted for use.
The powerbook may not be up to editing these files. expect a slow process of exporting & working with the footage.

I am trying to relocate vids i made with another device and imported to my itunes to my camera roll or other app (files box, private camera, photofolders etc...) Is it possible? Will I have to change the video formats? They are all mp4 vids.

If they are in a compatible format then you should be able to sync them by selecting the iPad on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (on iTunes 11 you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and then use the Photos tab on the right-hand side of iTunes to select the folder that they are in on your computer and sync them (if you are already syncing photos to your iPad then you will need to include their folders with the sync, otherwise they will be removed from your iPad)

I understand that you have added a clip or project to iMovie Theater but would like to continue working on it. When you upload the project to iMovie Theater, the original project remains in iMovie where you can edit it further.

One day this was happened to me:I deleted some videos that i don't need and after about a month i went to a music concert and i recorded with my iPhone for about 25-30 min and my iphone froze and automacitly restarted after a restart when a went home and i wanted to watch what i had recorded and in my camera roll on my iphone i saw the videos that i deleted about a month ago!!!
