How can I transfer app data to my new iPhone from my old one?

Just upgraded to a new iPhone. I have lost ALL my Shazzammed music and Grocery IQ data. I would REALly like to get that info on my new phone. If not, I'd rather have my old one!
BTW--I have the actual apps and all my contacts etc. bc I did a successful transfer/sync from iTunes. It's just the DATA that was part of my apps that is missing. Thx.

  • How do I transfer my data to my new IMAC from my old mac's hard drive?

When switching to my new IMac, I transferred my data, but the data that it transfered from was my old Mac's original hard drive. How do I transfer the data from my 2nd hard drive which has all my up-to-date info?

I believe that you are running into the Master/Slave issue when there are two or more HDs on the same channel.
As per the Knowledge Base article on How to use FireWire target disk mode
Tip: FireWire Target Disk Mode works on internal ATA drives only. Target Disk Mode only connects to the master ATA drive on the Ultra ATA bus. It will not connect to Slave ATA, ATAPI or SCSI drives.
When you disconnected the original drive, which was the Master, and changed the new drive's position on the cable, which had been the Slave, you made it the Master, which then gave you access to it.
You may be more successful if you use Migration Assistant if you erase and reinstall OS X. It is located on your Intel in Apps/Utilities. Be sure to use Kappy's post linked above for an intelligent move of the things that are safe to move from PPC to Intel Macs.

  • How Can I Transfer My Data to my new iPhone?

Currently, I have an iPhone 4, and will most likely get the new one when it comes out in the fall. If I sold my 4 before buying the new one, how would I transfer my contacts, pictures, etc. onto the new one? Do I just keep my old SIM Card and put it in the new one?

iPhones don't store any data on SIM cards.
You need to backup your current phone either to iCloud or iTunes, and sync your contacts with either an app on your computer or cloud service (iCloud, Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail, etc.)
When you get your new phone (Thanks for not calling it the "iPhone 5"), you'll restore that backup and sync as part of the activation process.

  • I have an older Ipod shuffle with many songs loaded on it. How can I transfer these songs to a new computer since the old computer is no longer available

I have an oder Ipod shuffle with many songs loaded on it. How can I transfer ths songs to a new computer since the old computer is no longer available?

I had the same problem with my iPad, i couldn't get the newer version of itunes because the computer was too old and my iPad couldnt sync with the old itunes. I got a PC from school a few months later so that solved the problem for me. Unfortunately i don't think there would be a program to put your music on your iPod, iTunes should be the only way to transfer files to Apple devices. What operating system are you running and what version of it is it?

  • How can I transfer Sidekick contacts to the new iPhone??

Just wondering how I could get my SideKick LX contacts either onto my new iPhone or onto the computer???
    Thanks!

Does the SideKick support storing contact information on the SIM card?
If you are an existing at&t subscriber with your SideKick.
    AT&T Devices (with AT&T SIM)
    1. Install SIM card from previous device into iPhone 3G and select Settings >>>
Mail/Calendar/Contacts >>> Import SIM Contacts >>> SIM Import.
    2. If you will not be using your old SIM card in iPhone 3G (e.g. your old SIM card was
2G and had to be replaced) remove the old SIM card and re-install the new active AT&T 3G SIM card.
Note: When transferring contacts from SIM card to iPhone 3G, only the first number
listed for each contact will be transferred to the new device. If any secondary numbers
are listed under a contact they will not be transferred.

  • How can I transfer my contacts to my new iPhone using backup assistant?

Transferring backup assistant to new iPhone

My problem is similar.  I upgraded from an old LG phone to an iPhone 4s.  I used the backup assistant app, and it seemed successful until I realized that only email addresses were saved as contacts in the new phone.  The old phone was not email compatible, so the old contacts are all phone numbers, so NO ZERO NADA phone numbers were moved to the new phone.
Here's where it gets sticky.  The old phone has gone missing with all its precious phone numbers.  I was going to try to look at the contacts in backup assistant online (even though I had never done any management of contacts online in the past) and see if it still had the phone numbers or if it had magically synced the online version with the email-only contacts.
I don't want to store my contacts in the cloud, so is there a way to access the online version of backup assistant to see if it may still have my phone number contacts?
    Please help!  Thank you.

  • How can I sync app data (e.g. game status) from iphone to iPad using iCloud?

I just got the new iPad, and would like to continue some of the games from my iphone. I have downloaded these previously purchased apps from the app store, but is there anyway I could sync the game data from my iphone to m ipad using icloud? It only works for some games where I could sync games status with icloud (which means i can play on whichever device and progress is saved in icloud), is there a way for all apps to haave this? I dont want to restore my ipad as my iphone.

I have just started using game center on my iPad 2. I had previously been playing Temple Run on my iPhone, once I had logged in on both devices my achievements from my phone transferred to my iPad but not the points I had accumulated for power ups etc in the store.
If the only way to transfer game progress is to restore from a back up how come my achievements have synced across? Isn't there a way to sync store points across as well?
There seems to be a lot of people on this forum asking the same question so I hope someone out there can help!

  • How can is sync apps ans rigtones to my iphone without deleting current ones one my phone?

when pressing "manually manage" button in itunes,it says that it should delete all current apps and restore them with those in its library. but i don't want it to delete all my applications and games... what should i do?? any advice???
    thanksss

THIS is EXACTLY why I will be overjoyed to see iOS 5 arrive. They never should have started activating phones at the counter, either in Apple stores or carrier shops. They should have kept things the way they were with the original iPhone where activation had to be done by the customer on their computer.
First, go into iTunes preferences and tell it NOT to sync automatically when the phone is connected. Now plug the phone in. When it appears, go to File>Transfer Purchases.  This 'should' pull all of the apps from the phone provided they were purchased with the same Apple ID that is registered in iTunes.
After it does so, you can set up the sync and simply sync them back to the phone.

  • How do i transfer my library to a new computer when the old one is broken

ok my old computer died and the information may not be recoverable is there a way to get my library on my new computer? no i did not have the cloud my computer was that old.

Unless you have a backup somewhere, then no.
You need the entire iTunes folder located in the My Music directory on your old PC.
You will still be able to redownload your iTunes purchases but any non-iTunes purchased media will be lost as well as playlists, play counts, etc...
