How can I transfer apps from iPad 2 to iPad 3?

Sync them via iTunes. All your apps should be backed up in your iTunes Library anyway.

All of your apps should be on your computer.
Just sync them to the new device.
    You can also redownload
Download past purchases - Apple Support
Not all apps are compatible with both iphone/ipod and ipad.  Some are universal.

  • How can I transfer apps from one iTunes library to another?

How can I transfer apps from one iTunes library to another? My daughter has an iTouch, and I was managing it through my library. I have created an iTunes account for her, with a new iTouch, and would like to move the apps over. I tried to sync the old iTouch to the new library and it said it was already set up to sync with a different library. What is the best way to do this?

You can transfer iTunes purchases by:
iTunes Store: Transferring purchases from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to a computer
To make the new computer the syncing computer you have to:
    - Transfer iTunes purchases lIke I described above
    - Make a backup of the iPod on that computer by connecting the iPod and then right-clicking on the iPod under Devices in iTunes and selecting Back Up.
    - Restore the iPOd from that backup
She will have to continue to use your iTunes ID to update the apps prchased with your account. To use her account she will have to log into the computer with her account (iTunes>Store) and change the sign in on the iPod by going to Settings>Store.

How can I transfer photos from my iPad to my Toshiba PC?

Plug the iPad into your computer using the USB cable and then use whatever app your computer has for downloading images from a digital camera. When the iPad is connected, the computer will see the camera roll as a digital camera. I'm not a PC person, so I can't tell you which app to use on the computer, sorry.

  • How can I transfer photos from ipad 1 to pc

    I have an ipad 1 - ios 5.1.1
I want to transfer the photos on the ipad to a windows 8 pc.
Should be a really simple operation - yes? wrong.
After visiting 30+ webpages, downloading various 3rd party software (and deleting them again) - I am still unable to transfer photos from my ipad to a windows pc.
I connect the ipad 1 to a pc using cable.
    PC shows ipad.
Then you get the option to import photos (Which 20+ websites just repeat).
Contained in the DCIM Folder is 2 thumbnail photos. Yes - just 2. Two.
Stored on the ipad is nearly 3,000 photo's. NOT 2!
So how do you move photos from an ipad to PC?
    Next problem.
Someone recommended using Syncios - wonderful.
    All photos found.
All photos copied - except they are copied as thumbnails.
It would seem that ipad stores your photos as a thumbnail - but when you email the photo the true size is sent. (Thumbnail is 11kb - when I attach the same photo to an email it shows it as 1.1mb)
So - apart from creating and sending 3000 emails - so that I can transfer photos at their original resolution - HOW DO YOU TRANSFER PHOTOS FROM IPAD 1 TO A PC.
Apple really couldn't have made a 30second operation more difficult - or deliberately impossible.
There is NO option to do this via iTunes.
I can transfer photos from a PC to iPad using iTunes - but not the other way around.
So - please - does anyone have a degree in astro-physics that can explain how a person is supposed to transfer full sized photos, that are stored as thumbnails - from an iPAD 1 to a Win 8 pc?
ps... and yes I am irritated. This has taken me 2 days so far, and still unable.
pps... and no, I really don't need people posting - oh yes I have the same problem... I need answers.

HHow did the photos get on your iPad? since the original iPad does not have a camera, the photos were either received in emails, copied from the web or synced from your computer. If they were copied from emails or the web they should be available to copy off the iPad using whatever Camera or image capture application you have on your computer. Connect your iPad, start the application and transfer the photos.
if the photos were synced from your computer, they should still be on the computer used to sync from.

  • How can i transfer apps from one account to another.?

now i had bought apps with my old account. but when i sync them into my phone i cant update them using my account, i need the old itunes i had. How can i transfer all bought apps onto my new account?

    You can't.
All 3rd party apps - all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the iTunes account used to purchase/download the apps. DRM cannot be transferred from one account to another.
Why did you get a new iTunes account? Changing your email address alone does not require doing so.

  • How can I transfer apps from my iPhone to my iPad?

    How can I tad
my apps from my iPhone to my iPad

Download then again in the App Store on the iPad. You will not have to pay for them again as long as you use the same Apple ID.
Bear in mind that unless your iPhone apps are Universal apps, they will appear in their native iPhone size (half size) on the iPad. You will be able to enlarge them to fill the screen but that will double the size of the pixels which reduces resolution, however, they will still work.
You could also transfer them into iTunes and sync them to the iPad, but if you synced with iTunes on a regular basis, I assume that would be something that you would or should already know.

  • HT201269 How can I transfer apps from my iPad to an iPhone?

Can notes from your iPad transfer to an iPhone?

You use the same Apple id with both devices. You go to the iTunes store and the purchased tab and download what you want. Although some apps are iPad only so they may not install on the iPhone.
that's app, notes? if you enable iCloud syncing on both devices then your notes will sync too.

  • How can I transfer apps from iTunes library from one computer to another?

I have been unsuccessful in transferring my music over to my new MacBook from my PC Windows Vista. I even subscribed to MobileMe, but it wouldn't work! So, I have decided to take the time to copy all my music to CDs & do it that way, but how am I going to transfer my apps? If I sync my iPhone with my iTunes library on my MacBook once I have transferred the songs, won't the apps be erased on my phone? Is there a way using MobileMe I could do so? Please please please help.

Do you have access to an external hard drive that you were using for your computer's backup with your PC which has enough storage capacity for your entire iTunes library?
If so, using the external hard drive would be a good way to do this. You would transfer your iTunes named folder in your My Music folder on your PC followed by transferring the iTunes named folder from the external hard drive to the Music folder on your Mac - with iTunes quit when doing so. This will transfer all music, videos, 3rd party apps, playlists, etc. from your PC to your Mac.
If most of your iTunes library includes music purchased from the iTunes store, iTunes includes an option to transfer iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store from an iPod or iPhone, but this is for iTunes content that was purchased from the iTunes store only.
First you need to authorize your new MacBook with your iTunes account with iTunes if you haven't already done so.
With your iPhone connected to iTunes and without syncing, at the iTunes menu bar go to File and select Transfer Purchases From - the name of your iPhone.
If all 3rd party apps do not transfer from your iPhone to your iTunes library on your Mac, you can re-download purchased apps with iTunes on your MacBook and you won't be charged again as long as you use the same iTunes account that was used to purchase the 3rd party apps.

  • How can I transfer photos from ipad - pc if pc doesn't recognise device as harddrive?

I have synced my ipad to laptop with windows 8 on itunes - but I cant get the photos to copy across so I can delete them from ipad.
I have also tried this  - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083 - to transfer images but my laptop doesnt recognise the ipad as a hard drive and therefore as a device to import the images from.
I have an ipad 2 - which I have had for a few years and have never been able to get the photos off (have over 20k) and I went to the Apple store and they suggested I try different laptops - which i have - just bought a new laptop - and it wont recognise it as a seperate device apart from itunes either.
Is this a fault with my ipad? How do I get my photos off?? thanks

Hi, thanks, I have tried all of this, my ipad is not recognised as a device in the device manager anywhere, other than in iTunes.
This is the 4th computer/laptop i have tried to import my photos too, so I am going to conclude that its a fault with my ipad.
    thanks for your help

  • How can i transfer apps from one computer to another?

My i-pod touch was on one computer and i would like to change my apps from that computer to another.

The simplest solution is to copy the iTunes folder from the other computer to the new one. This will transfer everything including music, apps, etc. The folder is /Home/Music/iTunes/.

  • How can i transfer apps from an ID to another?

I have two apple store IDs and I'd like to transfer purchased apps from one to another. Is it possible?

At this time the simple answer is no. There are articles on Apple's forums stating this fact.
If you are like me, you have one apple id created pre-mobileme for use in iTunes and now the app store and then a second from an either purchased MobileMe or recently registered iCloud account. If you are running iOS 5 you are able to sync your iCloud to one Apple id and your App Store to another.
A workaround that basically says, we (Apple) know there is a problem but my guess is due to legal reasons (music companies, etc.) they are unable at this time to allow users to merge accounts.
If you have purchases on both accounts you will have to pick one to use going forward at this time.
    Hope this helps.
