How can i transfer iweb files from one computer to another?

Hi,
Recently my harddrive crashed and i had to rebuild my computer. I retreived most of my files but i cannot find where my iweb files are located. Does anyone know where iweb saves files or how to retreive my domain files from the web (if at all possible)?

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.
NOTE: In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible in Lion or Mt. Lion enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.

i was wondering how to transfer protected files from my small computer and delete them to free up space and put the on my new larger comptuer.

Locate them in the Windows Explorer, move them to the new computer as you would any file, and then drag them into the open iTunes window. They can then be deleted from iTunes on the old computer.

How can I transfer an iPhone from one computer to another?

Hi all!
So, I got my boyfriend an iPhone 4 last year and his computer was so outdated that he could not sync it with his computer. We recently upgraded to Snow Leopard (no Lion for us yet) for both his and my computer and now he can sync his phone with his own computer. Before, he could not back up his contacts in his address book, or his calendar, etc. So anyway, when I plug in his phone to the computer, it recognizes it, but will not allow me to create a backup in his iTunes. It will also not let me "assign" the phone to the computer. Any suggestions? Also, even if I do a complete restore, how can I add the stuff backed up to his iCloud once it's restored? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Just get copies of the song files and add them to your iTunes library. With the exception of any DRM-protected files (purchased before mid-2009 and never upgraded) they will play fine, even though they are technically associated with the original account.

Due to a recent security breach not if my doing a user stole my apple id and needed to change appleid account. Now as a result i've lost all purchased apps from the itune store. I would like to transfer apps from one apple id to another without incurring additional costs. You can't transfer iTunes content from one account to another. If someone had obtained access to your account credentials and you've had the account locked that should not affect the current authorizations on your computer, though it will prevent you from updating apps until you have resolved the issue. Rather than creating a new AppleID what you should do is regain control of your original Apple ID and have it reenabled with a new password, get, if possible, Apple to deauthorize all computers for your account (assuming you don't have 5 so can't do it yourself) then authorize your computers.

I have created a new website on my laptop and have my other sites on my desktop and want to transfer the site on my laptop to my desktop. I don't see where we can import files from one computer's files to another computer's files. Is there a way to do this?

You can copy the domain.sites2 file from the User/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder on your laptop to the Desktop of your desktop Mac, rename it to something like "site name.sites2", and put it in the iWeb folder with your other domain.sites2 file.
If you want to merge the sites in the two domain files into one new domain file you can do so with iWebSites.

For iPhoto 09 (version 8.0.2) and later:
What you mean by 'share'.
If you want the other user to be able to see the pics, but not add to, change or alter your library, then enable Sharing in your iPhoto (Preferences -> Sharing), leave iPhoto running and use Fast User Switching to open the other account. In that account, enable 'Look For Shared Libraries'. Your Library will appear in the other source pane.
Any user can drag a pic from the Shared Library to their own in the iPhoto Window.
Remember iPhoto must be running in both accounts for this to work.
If you want the other user to have the same access to the library as you: to be able to add, edit, organise, keyword etc.
Quit iPhoto in both accounts. Move the Library to the Users / Shared Folder
(You can also use an external HD set to ignore permissions, a Disk Image or even partition your Hard Disk.)
In each account in turn: Double click on the Library to open it. (You may be asked to repair the Library Permissions.) From that point on, this will be the default library location. Both accounts will have full access to the library, in fact, both accounts will 'own' it.
However, there is a catch with this system and it is a significant one. iPhoto is not a multi-user app., it does not have the code to negotiate two users simultaneously writing to the database, and trying will cause db corruption. So only one user at a time, and back up, back up back up.
