How can I transfer music from my ipod to a mac?

I have just over 1000 songs on my 4th generation ipod touch. When I try transfering my ipod purchases onto my mac, it says I need to authorize my computer. So I authorize it, and then transfer the purchases. An error comes up saying there are 91 problems that I can not upload to my computer because my computer is not authorized...and so I cannot transfer any purchases. So I was wondering if there was anything i can do to get my songs on my ipod touch to my mac? Or am i left to just deal with not having my music?

You need to authorize the computer for the accounts that purchased the music.

load the current version of I tunes on the laptop and sync the pod.  Then sync the phone - you can select all or as much of the music you want to.
Also - if the music on the pod was purchased from the itune store in the first place, you should be able to redownload it to the phone for free, as long as you are using the same apple id that it was bought with.

How do I transfer music from my iPod shuffle to my iPad?

Did you try to transfer your purchases to iTunes by right clicking on the shuffle in the device list and choosing "transfer purchases"?
Afte that select and sync the music via iTunes.
If you did not buy the music in iTunes, you'll have to use 3rd party software, like Touchcopy for example.

Can I transfer music from my ipod back to my mac

If you bought music, videos, etc. using the store on your iPod, iTunes will offer to sync your purchases back to your Mac the next time you sync. There's info about that here.
If your iPod was synced to another computer previously, and that's how your current music got on your iPod, I think you need to use non-Apple utility software to transfer the content off of your iPod. I don't think we're supposed to talk about those here because the official transfer method as far as Apple is concerned is iTunes. And with iTunes, music is supposed to go in one direction, from the Mac to the iPod, unless you bought it on the iPod. This is to prevent people from using iPods to copy music to everybody else's computer.

  • How can I transfer music from my iPod to a new laptop?

I recently got a new laptop because my old laptop, in which all of my music is in, is about to break down. So just about a few days ago my laptop just died, i cannot turn it on, and all of my music is in there. How can i transfer all of my music onto my new laptop using my ipod, and how will I be able to keep downloading music on my new laptop. Thanks!

You still got your music in your iPod? There is a way to transfer it to your new laptop.
You can simply transfer music from iPod to computer with a handy tool called iOS Transfer.
iOS Transfer is a program specifically designed to deal with problem of transformation between iPod and Computer.

  • How can I transfer music from my iPod touch to my new mac without a backup?

I've seen a lot of tutorials on how to do this from various websites. Some are for windows only and some only apply to iPods that aren't touches. What I want to know is, how can i transfer my music from iPod touch to my Mac without losing everything and without having to buy all my music over again (none of my music was purchased on iTunes)? It'll break my heart that 600 songs are all gone simply because I don't have a backup or I didn't purchase from iTunes. There has to be a way to do this. Help?

You need a third-party program like one of those discussed here.

There is also PhoneView and TouchCopy.

  • How can I transfer music from my iPod to my iTunes library?

Recently my previous notebook broke so that my whole iTunes library was deleted. Lucky me I have all my songs on my iPod and I didnt have any problems trasferring the songs I bought at iTunes to my iTunes library, but I don't know how to transfer the other songs.
Is there anybody who can help me?

iTunes will only let you copy your iTunes Store purchases directly from an iPod to the computer,
For everything else (music from CDs, other downloads and including iTunes purchased songs and in some cases, videos and games) there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
A selection of iPod to iTunes utilities:
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
SharePod Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iPodRip Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Music Liberator Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
Music Rescue Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive

  • How can I transfer music from my ipod to a blank cd?

I downloaded music from my computer at work in to my ipod and now I want to transfer it to a blank CD but don't know how? Will someone please enlighten me. Thank you in advance for your help.

Whoa! I didn't "recommend" any software for you to download. I merely pointed you to a link which contains suggestions/instructions on how to move music from the iPod to the computer. Option 2 in that link for instance doesn't need any software download.
In any event, all you should have been doing is copying the music from iPod to computer and it's difficult to know what you did that caused the music to be erased from your iPod.
Any music not on your iPod or computer is lost unless you want to try some data recovery software (assuming you haven't begun to write over the iPods hd). It's not guaranteed that you'll recover any music this way, and this type of software is rarely free.
Sorry to say this, but this is just another example of why it's not a good idea to keep the music on your iPod only.
