How can I transfer my contacts from one group to another?

I have recently discovered that most of my personal contacts have been synced with my work's MS Outlook. This brings two issues to me if I ever had to change jobs and hand over my laptop - 1) My personal contacts will be shared with an unauthorised audience, 2) If they delete my account I will never have access to my own personal contacts as well.
I tried to see how I can transfer contacts from one group to another but I can't seem to get the hang of it. Can anyone help, please? All I need to do is associate the contacts that have been associated with my work's email account to one of my personal accounts.

If you use an online syncing service for managing your contacts then you can simply clean up the contancts on one installation, and the changes should update on the second installation immediately. This will only work if you use iCloud, Gmail, or another service for storing your contacts.

Several years ago, my husband I decided to share one calendar and one contacts list, using his mobile me account and it's been great for us. I'm particularly thrilled to no longer serve as a human rolodex and I guess that I paniced a bit when I thought there might be a problem with our system. I'm still confused where that "On my mac" account came from on the first place. Do you suppose that was an automatic thing that came with the Mountain Lion upgrade?

I have an iPhone 4S that has quit working properly. The wifi option is grayed out and it will not let me get online. It also has some other weird things going on. I've tried everythign to fix it, to no avail. Therefore rather than paying $200 for a (refurbished) replacement, I'm going back to my old 4.
I was told by the AT&T guy not to restore to my new phone because there is a chance that this is software related and it will cause similar problems on my 4. Your contacts should be on your computer.
You should have been syncing them with your computer from day one.

On my device, or in iCloud on the web, how do I move a contact from one group to another. This should be as easy as it is with calender items, but the only solution I've found is to change your default contact group, and email the contact to yourself. Then tap the contact, and add it to your contact list. You can then delete the original. Is there an easier way???

So i have an itunes account on dell laptop and i share that account with other famliy members. I recently bought a mac pro and wanted to create a new account that way i can use icloud, is there any possible way to transfer everything from my old library to my new one or will i lose everything i had on my phone and ipods? Or is it possible to have one account but multiple icloud accounts?

Just get copies of the song files and add them to your iTunes library. With the exception of any DRM-protected files (purchased before mid-2009 and never upgraded) they will play fine, even though they are technically associated with the original account.

How can I transfer apps purchased from one AppleId to another due to breach of account?

Due to a recent security breach not if my doing a user stole my apple id and needed to change appleid account. Now as a result i've lost all purchased apps from the itune store. I would like to transfer apps from one apple id to another without incurring additional costs. With sufficient information in direct contact with the store I should be able to transferable within the software or at very least with the itune store direct. Perhaps this is a way of charging additional costs for same programs?
Not a happy camper because of the theft in id but now to add insult to injury i'll have to repurchase the apps to properly sync with my devices.

You can't transfer iTunes content from one account to another. If someone had obtained access to your account credentials and you've had the account locked that should not affect the current authorizations on your computer, though it will prevent you from updating apps until you have resolved the issue. Rather than creating a new AppleID what you should do is regain control of your original Apple ID and have it reenabled with a new password, get, if possible, Apple to deauthorize all computers for your account (assuming you don't have 5 so can't do it yourself) then authorize your computers.

If you plug in your ipod and/or iphone to your new machine, they should show up in the left column in itunes.

At work I'm using Firefox as my default browser.
In my company the IT administrator installed new system s/w on companys main server and changed the user names.
So now firefox lost all the information (profile) I already had on my pc.
Now in "C:\Documents and Settings\" folder I have 2 users.
One with the old user name and one with the new user name
Also I can not any longer login in my pc with the old user name because the administrator has changed also the domain name.
How can I transfer the profile I had (with lot's of usefull bookmarks etc) from the old user-name to the new user-name?

In contacts, how can I move a contact from one account to another?

My husband and I have (happily) shared contacts for years and all of a sudden we realized that some contacts would show up on one of my devices, but not on his. After looking at the issue more closely, we realized that I somehow now have (and do NOT want) an additional contacts account called "on my Mac" that has been inadvertently populated with 22 contacts.
1) How can I move those to our shared account?

2) How can I delete the account called "On my mac"?

How can I transfer an iPhone from one computer to another?

Hi all!
So, I got my boyfriend an iPhone 4 last year and his computer was so outdated that he could not sync it with his computer. We recently upgraded to Snow Leopard (no Lion for us yet) for both his and my computer and now he can sync his phone with his own computer. Before, he could not back up his contacts in his address book, or his calendar, etc. So anyway, when I plug in his phone to the computer, it recognizes it, but will not allow me to create a backup in his iTunes. It will also not let me "assign" the phone to the computer. Any suggestions? Also, even if I do a complete restore, how can I add the stuff backed up to his iCloud once it's restored? Any help would be great. Thanks!

Recently my harddrive crashed and i had to rebuild my computer. I retreived most of my files but i cannot find where my iweb files are located. Does anyone know where iweb saves files or how to retreive my domain files from the web (if at all possible)?

Not with Aperture. You'll need an image editor like Photoshop, Acorn, Pixelmator ect
