How can I transfer my itunes to another computer

I need to transfer my Ipad Itunes data to my laptop from my PC so I can take BOTH into the apple store to get some hlep from the people that know a lot more than I do. I've got videos and music plus apps.
I'm really new to this.

there might be something better now, but a few years ago i downloaded a free application called tinkertool, using that with your ipod plugged in check the "show hidden folders" box in the finder tab, hit refresh finder and then your ipod should show up on your desktop and you should be able to open the folder up and transfer all your data from the ipod. hopes this helps as a starting point at least

Well get get your music from your old computer to your new computer, the old computer would have to work and turn on to access the files to be copied over. You can't access your iTunes from their computer because your library is at home on your computer. You can only access there library.
To plus an iPod into another computer, be sure to set your iPod (at your house before you leave) to Manual updating rather than automatic updating. This will allow the iPod to mount and iTunes will not do anything to what it on the iPod or in the iTunes library.

I just want to send my sister one song from my iTunes because its a recording of her daughter when she was 2. She no longer has the file and I only have it saved in my iTunes from a long ago. The only known file is the one I have saved on iTunes. I tried to do home sharing but I dont know how to do that being we are in different states. She lives in Oklahoma and I live in California. She has a mac computer as do I. We are both current with updates, is there a way to Ping it to her? Or even translate the file to the desktop to send in an email?

In iTunes, drag the file to the desktop.
On the desktop, select the file right click Share > email.

The procedure you describe is putting content from two different IDs into a single library, which can readily be done.
However, each item of purchased content will still be tied to the ID from which it was originally purchased, and they will be treated separately for purposes of Cloud, Match, Purchase History, etc.
