(How) can I transfer my Lightroom PC version to a Mac?

I've just acquired a Mac, to do most of my photographic work on. I have Lightroom 5 on my PC. Is it possible to transfer it to the Mac or are they incompatible?

If you want to be able to view the book with iPhoto on the other Mac you'll have to copy the library containing the book to the other Mac. You won't be able to import that book into the other library.
Make a duplicate copy of the library containing the book and rename the folder "Book Library". Open it with iPhoto and delete all of the files that are not in the book. Then copy the Book Library folder to the other Mac and open. You can also burn the Book Library folder to a CD as a way to archive the book in case you decide to order another copy at a later date. I create a separate library for each book I create and order and archive it to CD when I've ordered.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. Apps that are written for the Mac OS cannot be used on iOS devices, such as the iPad. You can purchase the iOS versions of some of these apps in the iTunes App Store.

You can use migration assitant which is located in the Utility Folder under Applications. The compters can be connected via ethernet, fire wire, or wifi. My recommendation is not to use wifi.
You run migration assistant on both machines and you can choose to transfer everything or just data.
Another way is to use migration assistant to restore from a time machine backup.

It sounds like you want to move your itunes library.

Format the external drive as FAT32 or ExFAT. Both computers will then be able to read and write to it.

You can't transfer music from iphone to mac, its only a one way sync itune to iphone.
Do you still have a copy of your itunes media library? YOu'll need that to copy to your new mac.

It won't work. When the Mac is booted into FireWire target disk mode, it acts as an external FireWire drive. The drive is formatted as HFS+ which the PC can't read.
