How can i troubleshoot a "software conflict between a device and something in my original user account"

hi
my canon video camera (HV20) wasnt being recognised by iMovie (error message...in system report was "Unable to list FireWire devices".)
in researching a solution i came across some firewire advice in http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1151#trouble which suggests there may be a "software conflict between the device and something in your original user account."
i changed to another account on my iMac and my camera connected immediately.
is anybody able to explain how i go about fixing this "software conflict".

With the Mail.app quit and using the Finder, go to Home > Library > Mail > Mailboxes > Outbox.mbox.
The Outbox.mbox represents "Out" in the mailboxes drawer and is shared by all accounts.
Delete the Outbox.mbox and empty the Trash.
Launch Mail and a new Outbox.mbox will be created automatically by Mail within the Mailboxes folder and this should resolve the problem.

the 3rd party tool is ETL , you can use ETL tool and the prepare the load files then you can use LSMW method to upload the data to SAP.

Tthe brute force method: start with Settings > iCloud and turn off Find My (you will need the password), then change the iCloud ID, then go to the apps such as Messages, FaceTime, etc, and delete the Apple ID and enter the new one.

How can I have an object toggle between fade out and fade in with button?

Hello all,
I have a problem and I was hoping someone out there could help me out with it.
I have smart shape that is set to show for "rest of project" on one of my early slides. It is not visible in output in the properties, but when a user clicks a button in the project, it should fade in and then stay visible. If the user clicks the same button again, it should fade out and stay hidden. So rather than toggle between show and hide, which I know how to do, I want it to toggle between fade in and fade out. I am having trouble with this. Setting its transition to fade in and fade out in the properties of the smart shape doesn't help...
Here is the advanced action I have attached to the button that should allow the user to toggle between fade in and fade out. The "if" parts works -- the object fades in and then finally "shows" at 100% the "else" part almost works. It fades out, disappears, but then shows again, which I obviously dont want it to do. I want it to stay hidden.

How can I move address book information between Address Book and Entourage?

(I have the same question regarding iCal and Entourage.) I have a lot of important information to enter, info that would be very difficult to relocate. I had some problems with iCal awhile back (it started randomly deleting events), so I am trying to figure out which program(s) to use. Since I don't have much experience with these, I would ideally like to be able to start in Entourage since that program seems better laid out for me, but be able to export the information to Address Book and iCal so I can make use of the Address Book widget feature, etc.
Is it realistically possible to export from Entourage into AB and iCal and how do you it?
Also, I have a first generation iPod, and just got an iPod Touch so that I could have access to this information on the go, along with the rather lame "notes" approach to entering information (while I hope for a free upgrade that will allow me to edit my calendar). So I am also trying to figure out:
How do I export Entourage information onto my iPod Touch? Can it be done directly easily now or does it need to go through AB and iCal?
I've done that on my old iPod, but it was very confusing between "identities"?? and remembering exactly how to do it again one I figured it out. I had to locate a copy of Tiger just to manage to get the iPod Touch, so I am grateful for any suggestions of the best way to do this.

How can I maintain a single connection between Forms 9i and JNI?

I am creating a JNI interface into a legacy application written in Pro C. Currently this legacy system is accessed from Forms 6i through userexits. Under this setup the Pro C application is able to share the connection to the DB established by forms. I want to mimic this functionality over the web using JNI as the link between my web components and the legacy application.
ie. I want to share the DB connection established by my web components with my Pro C application.
Thus far I have been unable to find any documentation on how to do this.
Any ideas would be very helpful.
Information about how Oracle Forms shares its connection with userexits would also be helpful.

The Pro*C application is linked in to Forms, and runs in the same process space, which is how the session is shared.
You can't share the Forms session outside of Forms. So it's not possible to do what you want.

How can I share ONE thunderbird profile between XP x64 and Windows 7 dual booting on the same machine?

I have a primary XP profile and associated mailboxes/accounts. I am dual-booting to Windows 7 and want to share only that XP profile so that all of my mail appears (and is synchronized) in the Thunderbird browser regardless of which OS I boot to. This seems as simple as pointing the Win 7 mail account local profile to the original XP profile, but that doesn't work. And - please - don't point this question to the response regarding sharing profiles between windows and Linux. That thread hasn't helped. Thanks in advance

Well I have no idea hat thread your talking about, but regardless the process is always the same, use the profile manager to create a new profile and point the profile manager to the profile you wish to use.

How can i define a default calendars between local calendars and osxserver

Hi OSX lovers,
I am using iCal as my e-agenda.
Now, working in a company, I am sharing a calendar originally located on the osx server.
The problem I have, when I receive an event invitation, iCal propose me to add this event to my "local" calendars and not the one I am sharing on the osx server.
My wish would be to be able to define my osx server agenda as my default agenda and that all events would be published in it and not only localy.

If the server sends an encoding then Firefox will always switch to that encoding. 
The default is only used on pages where the server does not send en encoding via the HTTP response header and the code doesn't specify the encoding via a meta tag.
There is usually no need to change the encoding from the default setting Western (ISO-8859-1).
It is probably better to try an Auto-Detect setting (e.g. View > Character Encoding > Auto-Detect > Universal) if you have a problem on specific websites.

Make sure each user has their own computer login.
Copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder to /Users/Shared.
Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library and select /Users/Shared/iTunes/ folder.
Quit iTunes and log into other user.
Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library and select /Users/Shared/iTunes/ folder.
That is all you need to do.
Any changes in iTunes by one will be seen by all others (since you are using the same library).
All users will have their own Contacts & Calendars and all other info.
If you are using Fast User switching, you must quit iTunes before switching users if others wish to use iTunes.
