How can I turn my ipod on remotely so that I can use the Find my Iphone app (sound mode) to find it

I have a ipod 5 gen and I lost it somewhere around the house. I've used the Find My Iphone app, but it indicates that its offline. So I'm guessing it ran out of battey or its turned off. That's why I am asking if theres anyway that I could turn my ipod back on in order for the sound to be played from FMI app. Thanks alot for any future help.

You can't, When off it is dead
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

I found an answer to this on another page (I was having the same problem) This worked for me:
Double-click the Home button.
Swipe left or right until you have located the app you wish to close.
Swipe the app up to close it.

AGAIN. ALL U.S. iphones are carrier LOCKED to AT&T and CANNOT be activated with any other carrier in any other country.
You would need an iphone from the official provider in your country, or an unlocked iphone ( which is not sold at all in the U.S.)

I have an iPhone4s and my storage has reduced unexplainably due to apps. How can recoup the storage (besides deleting apps because I deleted a lot of my apps already.)

My phone's storage space is depleting rapidly. It is mainly apps taking up this space, but I honestly don't have a lot of apps on my phone. The apps should only take about .6 gigs and they are taking up almost 5 gigs or storage. The apps that are taking up the most room are Instagram and Pinterest, which are internet sights, so to me it doesn't make sense why they are taking up all of the storage room if they are backed up to the internet. I know I really don't know a lot about this stuff, but it would really help if someone could explain to me what is going on and how I can fix the problem without completely deleting the apps if that is possible.

Alright, super weird, but looks like it's fixed. I should note that before I tried anything, I deleted enough stuff so that I had plenty of space left for updates. I held both buttons down until the phone turned off and then turned it back on. Still the same issue. Maybe half an hour later as I'm thinking about how I'll have to try to restore the phone, the screen lights back up on it's own and shows the lock screen...like someone had pressed the home button, even though I pressed nothing. I unlocked the phone to see if I had a missed call or text or something and noticed that the "stuck" apps had updated and everything was working again. #applemagic

My iPhone 4S was stolen a few days ago, and I was able to track the location with the "Find my iPhone" app. I had it play a sound which alarmed the thief, so they powered the phone off. They have not turned it on for four days now. Is there any way I can command it to power on or anything my service provider (Verizon) can do? Any suggestions will help! Contact your carrier. They may be able to block further use of the phone. No good to you but then no good to the thief either.

The one I pointed you to before was a bad example. Try the one here. The example returns the cell value as a string but that's easy enough to change. You can also modify it to return a range of cells to create a LabVIEW array. You can also search NI Dev Zone for other examples by going here and you can also search this forum for Excel examples.

How can i separate ipad and iphone apps download?

when i download apps on ipad, my iphone will automatic download the apps too. or download on iphone, it will automatic download on ipad..... it's different purpose on my i device u know...so how can i separate them?

If you have automatic downloads enabled on the iPad then any app that is compatible (e.g. it's not an iPhone only app and you have the relevant iOS version) will be downloaded and installed on it (and similarly for the iPhone and apps that you download on the iPad) - you can't just have it download iPad specific apps. Similarly when you connect to your computer's iTunes if you have it set to (on the device's Apps tab) to automatically sync all new apps, you can't set a distinction there either.

i don't want to be that guy on the fourms adding to a 2-year-old topic, but you might want to try updating iTunes. The current version is 11, and that might help with getting the computer to recognize it.
Also, have you tried unlocking your phone before plugging it in? That would resolve most mount/unmount errors.
