Having read another comment on this forum, I think I have the answer.
By going to File>Project Properties, and then turning off the Ken Burns effect.
Don't know how you feel about iMovie 11, but I think its pretty awesome don't you think?

For some reason I am attempting to sync my iPhone with my laptop as usual but now in the iTunes app when I attach my iPhone and go to Info, it reads: Your contacts are being synced with your iPhone over the air from MobileMe. Over the air sync settings can be changed on your iPhone. So here is the thing, I have looked online and have found nothing at all to show me how to do this on my iPhone. I want to be able to add info on my iPhone and then connect it with my laptop and sync it immediately with my laptop and also to add info on my laptop and immediately sync it with my iPhone. On your iPhone go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select your MobileMe account. Turn off the items you don't want synced over the air.

Go to System Preferences -> Sharing. If everything there is turned off, nobody can access any of your files remotely.
For that matter, even if you have stuff turned on, if it's all configured correctly, someone would need to know a password to access anything.

How can I turn off auto saving mail contacts

When I begin to type an email, if I have sent one to someone with a similar address it comes up, despite the address not being one of my contacts. How do I stop this? For example, if I replied to a Craig's ad, and then go to send an email that starts with the same letter all those come up. I don't want them saved which is why they aren't in contacts.

Well if you wiped your devices - they will go away but that is a pretty drastic measure to take in order to remove those addresses. I don't know if they will come back if you restore from a backup - but obviously if you restore as new they will be gone. If you do restore - try the backup first - you can always restore as new later if it doesn't work.
Frankly - I just keep reading that the remembered addresses eventually go away - but like you - I have seen no evidence of that happening on my iPad - after 16 months of using it.
But - IMO - and it's only my opinion - wiping the devices is only a very short term fix because the mail app will start remembering addresses again. That's is just the way the mail app works - and you be right back where you started.

I recently downloaded a program that has, as an undesired additional action, apprently setup Yahoo as the page that opens by default when I open a new tab using <Ctrl> <t> (or the <+> symbol on the tab bar). Did it add the freeze net assistant add-on? That add-on is known to do this. If you have that add-on you can uninstall it Firefox should revert to the default behavior.

Just to be clear, this is not the parallax effect which I've already disabled. It's the apps flying in an out when I open and close them. This useless motion is so nausea-inducing that I have to close my eyes or turn the screen away when I switch apps or I get vertigo.
Is there any chance Apple will give us the option of turning this off? In the half hour it took me to switch to iOS 7 from iOS 6, I went from loving my iPad to hating it.

I don't mind the motion so much as the inability to scale images so they fit the screen. Is there a workaround yet so that if you want to see an entire image you can scale it? I tried scaling it in the wallpaper screen but that did not work. I tried reducing the dimensions of the photo but my iPad simply stretched it beyond the frame again.
Hopefully Apple will give us an option to scale or some bright individual will create an app that will do it. If anyone knows of either I'd love to hear about it.

If you are refering to documents such as Pages and Numbers files....
The only way around this is to "save as" you icloud documents using the associated app to a local folder on your mac. Then turn off icloud.
Of course, when you sign off of icloud, the docs are removed from the mac, but remain in icloud. In the future when you sign back in, the documents are available to you again.
Oh, and the icloud documents are also stored locally in ...
~/Library/Mobile Documents
Note that Library in the user's home folder is now hidden, so you'll have to set Finder to view hidden files.
The Mobile Documents folder has subfolder where copies of the doc/data files are stored.
You can move these files to another folder to save them.
