How can I turn OFF the button?

Hello,
As we knew by dafault the HIGH LIGHT button on the form's top right corner is ON when the form is rendered so that user will see the bluish fields / check boxes, well.
But, in our case, we would like to OFF in all cases / always bcz I'm populating / fillling the fields w/ red, yellow colors by using JS.
In order to users to see my JS poulated red, yellow colors, I wrote below JS in almost all events (Form Initialization, docReady, Layout, Calculate, Form Ready) except PreSave, PostSave,
app.runtimeHighlight = false
1) But, when the form is rendered still users are seeing defaulted blue color, HIGHLIGHTING button is ON
(Actually, when fors is rendered very first fraction of second am seeing my red / yellow color and immediately in next second its turning into blue while rendering)
2) When user started typing / populating on any filed then,my colors r showing up I mean, switched from BLUE to my RED/YELLOW color! but then if I refresh by F5 the the form reverting back to blue!
Pls. let me know how can I achive my requirements that always we need OFF button so that we can see RED / YELLOW color

Satellite A660 How can i turn off the lighting of the power button?

Hello, I recently bought a new Toshiba A660-1FL.
However bothers me is the lighting of the multimedia keys, if I work in the dark.
In Bios I could turn off the led illumination, but the power on/off button is still lighting,that distracts me when i am working.
This notebook has two power LED, so the power on lighting is in my opinion, unnecessary.
My question is: How can i turn off the lighting of the power button?

Yes in fact, the difference is color, design, but also location and brightness of the LED.

I was today at a local electronics store, and saw that Toshiba has the brightest Power LED on A660, but why it must be placed under the LCD and not in the front as in my old notebook Toshiba A210.
I also had the idea with a tape, but it would look ugly, and it must be removable without residue.
P.S. Also the fingerprints on the glossy keyboard do not look nice.

All the websites doesn't allow you to turn off the sounds, but that is just the thing I need to do. So how can I turn off the web browsers sounds? This is so small thing, that I refuse to believe that this kind of button doesn't exits.

In Vista you can set the volume and mute setting for each application separately in the volume mixer.

Sorry for not quite understanding. I guess you are referring to a notice in an alert. I do not have that alert active on my device, so I cannot say. Where do you see the default birthday showing as Nov. 30? If you can explain that, I can probably modify the below script to do that clean up.

I'm not sure why I missed the original reply, but here is an Applescript that will change all the years of any selected contacts to 1604 (default for no year).

How can I turn off the autocomplete / autofill function in Mail (Mail 7.2)? I know how to remove email addresses from the 'Previous recipient' list, but I simply want to deactivate the autocomplete function for email addresses entirely.
You used to be able to do this via Mail - Preferences - Composing, but I upgraded to Mavericks today, and the option to deactivate the autocomplete funtion for email addresses is no longer there.
Does anyone know where to find it?

If you don't already have a current backup of all data, back up before proceeding. There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select Disk Utility.
In the Disk Utility window, select the icon of the startup volume from the list on the left. It will be nested below another disk icon, usually with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar. When prompted, enter the login password of a user authorized to unlock the volume, or the alternate decryption key that was generated when you activated FileVault.
Then, from the menu bar, select
File ▹ Turn Off Encryption
Enter the password again.
You can then restart as usual, if the system is working. Decryption will be completed in the background. It may take several hours, and during that time performance will be reduced.
If you can't turn off encryption in Disk Utility because the menu item is grayed out, you'll have to erase the volume and then restore the data from a backup. Select the Erase tab, and then select
Mac OS Extended (Journaled)
from the Format menu.
You can then quit to be returned to the main Recovery screen. Follow these instructions if you back up with Time Machine. If you use other backup software, follow its developer's instructions.
Don't erase the volume unless you have at least two complete, independent backups. One is not enough to be safe.

Our internal contacts in the company, have already taken the lead to find out about whether we will be able to use the WLS 6.1 platform to do this and the answer we got back, was.
Now we need to develop our own security module.
I have 2 questions:
1. How can we turn off the WLS security in order develop our own application-based security module?
2. How can we develop a security module that allows us to age users' password and provide them with facilities to change their passwords when these expire?
At the moment, we are using the default BEA WebLogic login.jsp page and there some configuration in the web.xml for this. I will be grateful if you could advise me on how to turn this default security off so that we can write our own security module.
