How can I turn off the page turn animations on an iPhone4 ?

iBooks for iPhone doesn't seem to have the option to turn this off. I'd really like to since I set the font size quite high and turn every 1-3 seconds. The animation every second produces headaches after longer periods of reading. Thanks for any helpful answers.

The editing menu doesn't come up when you double tap. It comes up when you press and hold. It can't be turned off.

Which "volume limit" do you mean?
All iPods have a volume limit feature that you can set yourself and on your iPod, go into Settings/Music/Volume Limit. There, you can set the volume limit to maximum, which is the same as turning it off.
However, if you mean the EU (European Union) volume restriction, on all iPods sold inside the EU, you cannot turn that off.

If you migrated your MobileMe account before 1 August you should have signed into System Preferences>iCloud with it, and you would be able to see your calendars, bookmarks and emails on the iCloud website. Is this the case? Did you sign into iCloud with your @me.com address?
If you did not migrate your MobileMe account you can no longer do so.
If you did migrate, did you do so from a full MobileMe account or from a Family Pack sub-account? the latter did not get the complimentary storage (because their iDisks were only 5GB anyway).
If you had a full MobileMe account, check on your Mac - System Preferences>iCloud - and see whether that shows the upgrade. If it doesn't, you probably need to contact Support: if you currently happen to have AppleCare, either because you recently bought Apple hardware or have paid to extend the inititial period, you can contact them here:

You will need the serial number of the covered hardware.
If you are not covered by AppleCare, then - in common with other free email services - there is no free support (MobileMe Support is no longer available) and you may be asked to pay a fee: in this case you should ask them to deal with it without cost (and hope they agree).

Hi. To the right of the "slideshow" is "Subscribe" or "Download" I do not want there to be an option to do either. Is it possible to take that option off the page?

Anyway, Inspector > 2d icon from the left > download size > None + various checkboxes

I can't find a place to turn off the option click shortcut that minimizes the last window and option command click that minimizes all of the other windows. Is there a way to do this? They don't show up (or I can't find them) in the Dock Preferences or the Keyboard Shortcuts.

I use Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and that's the zoom shortcut keys with space. If I use another program on my second monitor and go back to that and want to zoom in it minimizes everything else.

It cannot be removed from the locked screen. To open the camera, if you are using iOS 5.1, swipe the camera icon upwards.

With iTunes 5.x, you could set the iPodService to "Disabled" and keep it from running (useful if you DIDN'T own an iPod!).
But with iTunes 6.0.2, every time you start the app, it reenables the service.
How can I shut this damned service off for good? I *don't* have an iPod!!!

How can I re-order the pages in my document with having to cut and paste everything?

Hello, I have a larger sized document and I need to reorder the sections of my document. However there are many images so cut-paste seems to screw up my formatting since pages like to move text around automatically but not images (like if I hit backspace until the text goes back to the previous page, the images will stay on the same page without moving back).
On the previous version of pages (pages' 09 I believe) I could simply click and drag the page thumbnails around. However I cannot seem to be able to do this in Pages'13... Am I missing something here?

Pages '09 offered two types of documents.
Word processing documents included a text layer, and consisted of sections made up of multiple pages. If no section breaks were inserted, a fifty page document could consist of a single section. Text could be placed directly into the text layer, and Objects could be placed on the page as Floating Objects, independent of the text, and able to make text flow around themselves, or could be placed as Inline Objects, inserted into the line of text running from beginning to end of the document, and moving with the text as it was edited.
In a Page Layout document, each page was a single section. There was no text layer, so only objects could be placed on the page. Any text had to be contained in a Text box or in a Shape. Unless grouped, each object was independent of the others.
Changing your images from Floating to Inline objects may be the key to your document rearranging issues. They can be changed back to Floating after being moved to theor new locations.

I need to open the web-page in a window of a certain size. The javascript function window.resizeTo (w, h) does not work. If I open the window using the window.open ("", "", "width: w, height: h, ..."), there is another problem.
The hyperlinks that have to be opened in a new tab in the same window or at least in the window of the same size, will open in another tab of the first window from which I called window.open().
I do not know what it is, bug or as intended, but the normal full-featured window with the right size I cannot get.

You need an extension if you want to set the window dimensions to a specific value or you need to open a pop-up window with window.open and specify the width and height.<br />
Otherwise a new window opens with some default dimensions as saved in localstore.rdf and you can't easily adjust the dimensions via JavaScript in that case.

I am trying to generate an Excel report with a large number of columns. and i am facing the problem of some of the columns not fitting into the page due to the page break. as a result, these columns are being printed at the end of the report. I would like to add the Row and Column headers to the remaining of the columns so that it is easy to recognise as to which table they belong to. i would like to know if there is any method to find out when the page break occurs in the excel sheet, along with the last printed column number, so that it would be easy for me to add the Row and Column headers before the next row/column is printed.

I have tried to find a way to do what you are asking, but have been unsuccessful. However, you can control where the page breaks occur by using the "New Report Page.vi". You can call this VI after appending the table to the report, and specify the cell where you wish to insert a new page break (using the "position" or "name" elements of the "MS office parameters" input). If you know the page size and you specify the column widths, you should be able to pick reasonable places to start a new page.
