How can I type another language on my iPad?
I bought my iPad online and when I received it the language was English. I am happy about that as that is my language. However, I am in China and there are times when I really need to use Chinese. Using my iPod, the keyboard used to allow me to switch between English and Chinese. Is there anyway I can occassionally type some Chinese on my iPad which has everything else in English? Any help will be much appreciated.

Solaris Unicode and locales how can I add another language.
I am seeking a way to add supports for my local language Bengali in Solaris 10. After migrating from Fedora Core I have been stuck with Solaris. I just cannot find the way out to install other Unicode languages. If it was Fedora Core I would have just installed rpm of my language.
The problem is most of my file and directory names are in my local language (using Unicode). Now I am stuck because I cannot read them because Solaris isn't displaying those characters.

How can I entirely disable language proofing from iPad??
I cannot use iPad to write in different languages, because of the annoyance of being continously "suggested" the "correct" italian (my native language) spelling. Since this happens in every app where keybord can be invoked, the only solution appear not to permit iPad tp make such "suggestions".
Hence: can the stupid proofing be TOTALLY disabled? How?Yes, it can be disabled.

How can i type a foreign language in fireworks cs3?
Hi,
I am trying to type in some Indian languages - Hindi, Kannda, etc. on my Fireworks file. I am simply using Google Transliterate to generate the text, then copying and pasting on to FW (CS3). But the text appears badly formatted - not completely garbled, but the accents are shifted.
Why is this happening? And how can one insert different language texts inside an english language FW file?

VThanks for the helpful hint, but it didn't work. The imported file also has the same character shift going on. Also, when I import the file, the font automatically changed to Tunga - which is the default MS font for the Kannda script. Everything looks good in Transliterate, but once I bring it to Fireworks, the characters and accents get separated.

Are you saying, you are getting junk characters in the email attachment? Then pls check the following. Since you want to send Japanese fonts, please pass language 'J' in both objpack-obj_langu = '3' & doc_chng-obj_langu = '3' instead of '3' please replace it with 'J'.
Another thing which you may have to check is the SCOT device type. As I understand from my basis colleague, this may also affect your attachment fonts since the emails are sent through SCOT. Go to transaction SCOT-> Settings-> Device types for format conversion. Check whether wrong device type is defined for Japanese there. Hope this helps

The language settings are held on the user's Windows profile and not in the database. In SBO 2007A onwards there is an XML file that is created by the SBO client (previous versions stored the information in the registry). The file is called b1-current-user.xml and you'll find it in the temporary application data under the user's profile (by default this will be C:\Documents and Settings\<profile>\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP\SAP Business One for Windows XP). This XML file contains a node that looks like the following:

</leaf>
where the value is the language id that should correspond to the same setting in the DI API. If your application will always run on a workstation where the SBO client is installed then you could read this XML file. Of course, this file may not exist for a particular Windows user if they have never opened the SBO client so you'd need to have a default setting.
If you application will be installed on a workstation which doesn't have an SBO client installed on it then there is no way to tell what default language to use and you'll need to build this logic in to your own application (eg have a screen where the user can choose their preferred langauge and then store this as a config file in a similar way to how the SBO client works).
