How can I unfreeze my cursor??? Help
I've had this G4 since they first came out and I've had the Leopard OS since it came out. I am just now experiencing a frustrating problem with my cursor. It freezes or just jumps around the screen when I try to use it. I've used the Apple+ the Esc. button to no avail. I wonder if I really picked up a true virus???I've used ClamAV to try to find the problem. One post said to re-install Adobe Reader. I did that and deleted Adobe prefs, but to no avail. I've used a different mouse, ran Utilities, changed USB ports-NOTHING!
As a last resort I've had to use a PC to make this post. Please help!!!!

Since you mention this issue occurs with your USB mouse, any mouse,
and the cursor freezes at various moments during use, have you tried
just the mouse and keyboard attached to the Mac and no other USB
devices? There may be a problem in the load on the USB ports.
The power limit on built-in ports, when shared over several peripherals
does not go very far. And if using a powered USB hub, it may be bad.
(And wireless bluetooth mouse/products have their own issues.)
You need to have at least one backup Macintosh computer so your
tired PowerMac G4 won't get PC envy when you revert to another
computer to check things out or run other software; I have only four.
The most Macs I had in one room at one time, that worked, was 75.
Those weren't my daily use computers; donated others to charities.
If your computer has more than a USB keyboard and USB mouse,
you may have a situation going on with USB power from the board.
Or something going on in the main power supply supporting USB.
There should be a way to troubleshoot the issue further.

If you click outside a Word document, is the cursor movement normal? And if you select Force Quit does the tag next to Word say "Not Responding"?
I'm afraid that the only way to get out of your predicament is to Force Quit Word. If you had auto-save on, you may or may not be able to recover some of your documents. I sometimes have up to 12 Word documents or so loaded at one time, so your problem shouldn't be put down to you having multiple documents open.
Sorry that I couldn't really help - I just don't see any way of getting out of your predicament. You MAY want to try pressing the command and period keys at the same time, but I really don't think that will stop anything.

I want to make a program by which I will be able to display a panel/pops up menu at the corsor's current position, (In any text/doc file or in the desktop, we can display a menu by right click of the mouse.) Now I want my program to do the same task.
More clearly-
1. First I would save some words or sentences in a file(aa.txt).
2. Then I would open another text file/ a word/ excel/ or any other editor( bb.txt / cc.doc / dd.xls / ee.html ).
3. While editing or writing something in the opened file, if I click the right mouse button/ press a key (ctrl+space), a menu will appear containing the sentences I saved in the file(aa.txt) previously.
My program will tell me the cursor's position in bb.txt / cc.doc / dd.xls / ee.html that i opened. And display a menu. my problem is not reading / writing in a file.
My problem is how can I get the cursor's position in a opened file display a menu at that position by a mouse/key action*.
Would you please help me on this regard.

I've got the black screen with the white Apple and the horizontal download bar (little white dot at the left end).
I pllugged it in, selected the OS update and after about an hour nothing happened so I diconnected it from the charger.
The phone won't start, stop, shut down, or continue.
Can anyone help, make a suggestion?

Had same problem, got answer from supprot community and it worked.
Hold down your power bar (on top) and your Home button (on face at bottom) for about 10 - 20 sec. and your phone will be restored - nothing lost or changed. Worked like a charm for me 20 sec ago.

apple loops for garageband pack doesn't show the folder content (loops, files...) in ableton live suite 8 library browser, but I can see all the loops in the folder from finder. how can i fix this? help please.
Thanks Barney, I tried that but all that comes up in Spotlight are the log files that show the file paths! I don't know how Steam works. Are all the files held by Steam on their server perhaps?

Hello. I sent my WRT1900AC V1 to Linksys four days ago (Monday) via UPS with a RMA. Linksys paid the shipping and everything. The router is still in route, and it should arrive to their offices tomorrow. Once they receive the WRT1900 AC V1, they are going to send me an EA8500 as a replacement. But I have been reading the comments about the EA8500 here in the forum and it seems to have the same problems. I guess the firmware is extremely flawed in both routers (maybe it is almost the same code?). Anyway, I will try the EA8500 and I hope it works. I bought a temporary router from Walmart and I paid $35 for it. It is a Belink N600 DB. I can't believe that a $35 router is working a lot, lot, lot better than my previous $250 WRT1900AC router. Unbelievable. If the EA8500 doesn't work, I'm going to try and get my money back from Linksys, or contact The Consumerist or someone to get my money back and get a Nighthawk instead.

We have to do some validation on Header, Operation and Relationship of any work order (IW31, IW32). We have checked that validations can be done at BADI WORKORDER_UPDATE in the method u2018AT_SAVEu2019. But user wants us to take the Cursor back to the field and screen due to which the error is coming. How can we take the cursor to a different sub-screen from the BADI?

This is a fairly common error, as a scan of the topic list will show, and likely due to a design flaw in the layout of the composition page.
Most posters who make this error do so on their first post, and are able to avoid a similar misstep on their second and subsequent questions.

If you don't know your ID, you can try to find it as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5625. Then you can reset the password as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2617. Of course, you can only do this if it's your ID.

Hello! I was on my Mac and then I clicked on iTunes. Then I clicked on Account, and accidentally removed my device from my Mac, how can I get it back? Is the iPod still singed into the account isn Settings>iTunes and App Stores and SettingsZ>iCloudl? If it is then I would not be concerned.

For the other "problem", go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and check the box that says Prevent iPod....automatically syncing. -

What do you mean by "disabled"? Disabled by entering the wrong passcode? If so, you'll have to force the phone into recovery mode & restore it to get it working again & remove the passcode:
Turn your phone off, then force it into recovery mode & restore it:
Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new. -

This sounds like it is about Window positions.
iChat has Default places for Incoming Invites.
Video is always top Center of your Screen
Audio and Text chats are Upper right with the Audio slightly lower than Text Chats.
Secondary invites are sort of Stacked like when you open multiple files from the same App.
Your outgoing Windows are "Remembered" as to where the last one was when you used it.
This can be an issue if you use your Mac with a second display and turn Off Mirroring.
You windows can get "left" on the other screen.
Go to System Preferences > Displays and turn On Mirroring and the windows should come back to one Screen/display.
If this does not help go to your Home Folder/Library/Preferences and delete (Drag to Trash) com.apple.ichat.plist and restart iChat.
Unfortunately you will need to reset any iChat Preferences you have changed from defaults.
