It will be removed automatically when you will uninstall the last product from creative suites (including older versions of creatives suites)
However, can you please confirm if download is happening slow on your system. Can you check your broadband speed using www.speedtest.com

  • Can I uninstall Adobe Application Manager without hurting my current Adobe products?

I tried to download a trial of Muse and the Adboe Application Manager says it is corrupt.
If I uninstall, will this affect any of my currently "owned" Adobe programs?

    Hi Randi,
You can certainly uninstall Adobe application manager without affecting any of the Adobe apps however I would advise you to download Adobe creative cloud instead of Application manager.
Please navigate to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud and download the software which will help you to download Muse and other apps.
    Thanks!

  • Uninstall Adobe Application Manager

Ever since I downloaded Adobe Application Manager my computer has experienced major problems.  My windows explorer has all but stopped working, random notices that my copy of windows is not genuine, and I cannot edit anything in word without the application freezing.  This only happened after the installation of Adobe  Application Manager.  I have run Malwarebytes and SuperAntiSpyware several times and no problems or threats were found.  I also checked safe mode and windows explorer was functional in safe mode.  I have run serveral chkdsk upon restarts and no problems have been found?  I have also tried to restore computer to previous settings without sucess.  I can not find how to uninstall the Adobe Application Manager.  I am using Illustrator CS6 and do not want to uninstall this if at all possible.  Any suggestions?

    Hi Geologyrocks,
Sorry to hear about your difficulties. Adobe Application Manager gets uninstalled automatically when you uninstall all of your Creative Cloud (CS6) products. Its definitely odd that this all started happening around the time you installed Adobe Application Manager. I haven't heard of others reporting the same issue. I have it installed on several computers myself and haven't experienced this personally. If you wanted uninstall it I would recommend uninstalling all CS6 first and then it should get removed automatically, you could run the Adobe Cleaner Tool afterwards for good measure. So you would need to uninstall Illustrator CS6.

When you go to reinstall I would ensure all Windows updates were installed, close all open applications at the time (including your anti-virus software temporarily)

  • I can't reinstall Adobe Application Manager (AAM)

I have Adobe CS5 installed (and working) on my Mac Pro tower running Lion (10.7.5) with 3 Terabytes of disk and 14 Gigabytes of memory. However, somehow, Adobe Application Manager (AAM) was deleted -- perhaps my carelessness, though I do not remember how that might have been.
Now I can't install new software, uninstall CS5, or even reinstall AAM. If I download AAM and try to install it, the installer fails to initialize (a close paraphrase of the message that appears in the popup), and suggests I contact the manufacturer. I have done this and unfortunately the telephone support have (so far) been unable to fix the problem, despite significant time spent trying various things with me.
Does anyone out there have any ideas as to how I might proceed.
I should add that I have "Repaired permissions" (more than once) and even downloaded a fresh copy of Lion and reinstalled it.  Nothing changed.
    Thanks in anticipation your help.

I got a call back from Adobe this morning and we deleted a few folders and we were then able to install AAM. This then allowed Acrobat XI Pro to be installed with no problems. Screen shot of the relevant entries in Trash for information, but I am not sure where the folders were originally located.
AAMUpdater had one empty folder in it ("1.0").  AAMUpdateInventory had a folder "1.0" in it which contained a whole bunch of stuff -- 70 folders of Adobe stuff on various aps, extension manager, fonts, ...  The "Application Manager" folder had seven folders and four files, and the "ApplicationManager" folder (note the absence of a space) had an empty AAMRefs folder only.
It all happened too quickly to make proper notes.

  • How do I unistall Adobe Application Manager?

    Hello
My Adobe Application Manager (AAM) is crashing so I can't download programs or updates from my Creative Cloud... I have been talking to Adobe on the phone, and they told me to unistall my AAM and then reinstall it. But how do I do that?
Hope somebody can help me out.
    Best regards

You can download and install Adobe application manager from this link:
    For windows : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=4773
Adobe Application Manager is required on your computer, as long as you have other Creative Cloud applications. Adobe Application Manager performs multiple functions within all of the Creative Cloud products. Adobe Application Manager is automatically removed when you uninstall all Adobe Creative Cloud products. Upon removal of the last product, the Adobe Application Manager is uninstalled.
Important:  Adobe offers a Cleaner Tool, which removes the database entries but not the physical files associated with the installation.  Run the program uninstallers to remove all components.
Remove Creative Cloud on Mac OS
    Double-click your hard drive.
Go to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
Run all of the Adobe uninstallers to remove all of the Adobe Creative Cloud applications.
    Remove Creative Cloud on Windows
    Click Start > Control Panel.
    Click Programs and Features.
Select a Creative Suite application and click Uninstall.
Repeat step 3 for all Creative Cloud applications.

  • Completely uninstall Adobe Application Manager

I mistakenly installed Adobe Application Manager last night because I thought it was needed to make it easier to update my existing Adobe Reader v10 and my other Adobe products (AIR, Flash, Photoshop Elements, and Premier Elements). How stupid of me to not do my research FIRST!!! Now I can not get rid of the damned thing. It will not show up in the Windows Programs and Features program listing in the Control Panel so I can remove it that way and the instructions to completely remove AAM that are given on the web site simply do not work as I have NONE of the applications listed in AAM that purportedly will remove AAM if they are uninstalled.

I was also fooled into believing that Adobe Application Manager was a necessary update for my creative suite. Even if AAM is necessary for core functionality (i.e., see smoke and mirrors description for AAM), I would be left with the following concerns:
Core functionality has nothing do to with Adobes decisions to install software on my personal computer that appears solely dedicated to pushing unsolicited trial software.
Using the Adobe application update manager to install AAM/a mechanism to push trail software is deceitful.
The description for AAM appears to be intentionally misleading.
The interface is confusing; AAM lists installed software as not being installed, as well as software that is not part of my creative suite. Why would I possibly want to install a trail version alongside my equivalent licensed version?
If Adobe wanted to push an update that truly provided core functionality, they would have done this as they have done in the past, and I would not have a confusing listing of trial software sitting of my desktop.
For lack of a better phrase, I feel like Adobe Spammed my computer with trialware in a manner that is markedly disingenuous. My take away lesson – Do not trust Adobe updater, do not trust Abode to conduct business in a forthright and principled manner, and of most importance, image/backup before running Adobe updater.
Venting aside, I inevitably gave up on trying to uninstall AAM and reverted back to a recent drive image.
Does anyone know of a way to keep AAM from popping up in the application update manager?

  • How can I uninstall adobe media encoder cc at macbook (Mavericks)?

How do I uninstall adobe media encoder cc on macbook (Mavericks)? I have installed two versions (AME AME CC and CC 2014), AME CC 2014 has unistall file, but the application AME CC has unistall file or i can not find it. The situation is similar in the application ADOBE EDGE CODE CC and ADOBE EDGE CC Reflow CC.

Because I have installed two versions, CC and CC (2014) I have a small ssd drive, I want to uninstall unnecessary applications and replace them with new ones from the 2014 edition. I have a problem with applications: Media encoder CC, EDGE CODE CC, Rreflow CC, Lightroom 5, these applications just do not have the files "uninstall". CC Photoshop, Illustrator CC,  InDesign CC, Media Encoder CC (2014) - with these applications I do not have a problem, I can uninstall these applications because have files "uninstall".

  • How Can I Uninstall Thinkvantage Password Manager?

How can I uninstall or disable this without compromising my fingerprint reader?
Failing that, how can I remove an application so Password Manager no longer tries to "help" me with its password?

I've just upgraded to Windows 7, and I've yet to activate the Client Security software, so I can't be specific on what may have changed from Vista.
In the Vista version of Password Manager, I recall there was an "Options" or "preferences" item in the menu bar of the program. Within the options then displayed, it was possible to switch off the manager's recognition of Windows programs' password entry, or for internet browsers' password entry, and maybe one or two other classes of programs. So in your case, switching off recognition of all Windows programs might do it.
Oh, one more thing: I'm pretty sure both Password Manager and the Fingerprint Manager are dependant on the Client Security Solution (CSS) software package installation, since the latter contains the bits and pieces of the framework that connects them all together with the "Trusted Platform Module"  (TPM), the hardware encryption device that's soldered onto the main board of the notebook, as well as the biometric hardware.
Since the CSS has these dependencies (while using the TPM drivers provided in Windows), it's really an all-or-nothing proposition: either you use it, or you switch entirely to another security suite solution vendor such as UPEK, who will use their own security framework, password manager, and fingerprint software.
Windows 7 is significantly more flexible than Vista here: for instance the UPEK security suite uses the "Windows 7 Biometric Device Framework", meaning that any hardware device with drivers for that framework will work "out of the box" with the UPEK security suite, while Vista still depends on manufacturer's device driver kits--e.g. with Vista, the UPEK suite will only support UPEK fingerprint hardware, not the Authentec devices installed on some Thinkpads.
