How can I uninstall Creative Suite 5.5

I'm trying to uninstall Creative Suite 5.5 but am getting an error message: Installer failed to initialize. Please download Adobe Support Advisor to detect the problem. When I do so I get a message that the Adobe Support Advisor has been discontinued. Please help! (uninstalling a program should never be this complicated!)

You cannot install CS5.5 Windows onto your Mac.
You must either purchase a new copy of CS6 for your Mac or join the Creative Cloud (and pay the monthly fee).
If you join the Cloud you can then install CS6 (and soon version CC) on both your Mac and Windows for the same membership fee.

I'm trying to uninstall Adobe Creative Suite through Programs and Features in Windows Vista, but everytime I try to uninstall it, I get an error right after I double click on the Adobe Creative Suite to unistall it. This is the error that comes up immediately.
"Adobe Creative Suite Installer 1.1 has stopped working"
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
The Creative suite was bought years ago throug Adobe. I've removed everything else adobe in the uninstall program, but can't uninstall this Creative Suite. Is there another option for removing it? Do I need to manually remove the folders and registry entries? If so, does anyone have any info they could give me to help?

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I did try using the Microsoft Installer Clean Up tool but once it was installed, I did not see anything with Adobe in there. The Adobe Creative Suite file does still show up in the uninstall programs screen. Also, I did check the adobe file folder and the program files are there and have not been deleted or uninstalled.
Anyone else have any other ideas?

Can't uninstall Creative Suite after system restore

I recently performed a system restore on my windows 8 machine. This brought back my creative suite 5 which i previously uninstalled. Now I can't remove it because the uninstaller seems to be having problems. It wont show me any of the items to uninstall, hence, I cant remove any of the products from the bundle. Is there any other way to uninstall the product? thanks!

The uninstaller might have gone corrupt due to the files missing. Run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool: http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html and remove the files from there.
Once removed, delete the temporary files(Run->%temp%) and empty the Recycle Bin as well.
Check if that helps.

How can I license Creative Suite?

I am an external consultant and one of my customers would like to use the software title Creative Suite in a commercial environment. I would like to confirm what license terms and user rights are applicable to this specific software title when used in a production environment. I have searched global website and I was able to find http://wwwimages.adobe.com/www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/legal/licenses-terms/pdf/CS6 .pdf. However, it still is not clear for me. Can it be used in a commercial/ production environment? Is it licensed by user or device (or both)? For each license, we may install it in up two computers. Is that correct?

I believe the answer to that is one user at a time... though I doubt there is anything wrong with multiple people using the same machine at the same time as a group design effort or whatever. When you have a Creative Suite there is no requirement for the user to identify themselves with some special password or anything. If Adobe intends that only the same one person should have access to an activated installation I am not aware of that. If this is a concern for you then you should contact Adobe Support directly.

How can I install creative suite cs6 after proof of academic status?

I bought creative suite cs6, the cd, and downloaded a trial while i waited for them to accept my proof of academic status, and now it's been accepted and i have some sort of serial number.
But I don't know where I can download the proper indesign from the numbers i got in the email???

You simply input the serial in your trial version: Help --> Activate. If it doesn't work, simply reinstall using the DVD from your package.

You can adjust the password on your Adobe ID. Beyond that if you attempt to activate on a third computer you will be given the option to deactivate all. Once this option is selected the next time your old computer attempts to activate the Creative Suite software it will request the updated credentials.

I had my creative cloud connector linked to an older version of CS5 and now I have CS6 via creative cloud. I wanted to link the cloud connector with CS6 instead of CS5 but didn't find a way. I tried to uninstall my creative cloud connector but didn't succeed because I always get this message saying the I should first close the program that is running in the background but there is nothing running in the background. Plus the programm that supposedly is running in the background is the one I am trying to uninstall...
I am stuck.

No, you dont have to uninstall Creative cloud from the other machine. You can use your Adobe ID to download and install the software on the other machine. Please ensure that you don't use both machine at the same time.

Please quit the Creative Cloud desktop application by clicking the settings options and select Quit. Then please follow the following steps:
Go to C:\Users\[UserName]\AppData\Local\Adobe and rename the folders "AAMUpdater" and "OOBE",
Then go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe and rename "OOBE" folder.
Make sure that the files and not hidden as AppData is hidden by default. Then relaunch Creative Cloud desktop application. Let me know for further help.
