How can I uninstall iTunes without Bonjour.msi?

As of about 2 months ago, I suddenly couldn't update iTunes. I'm getting a Bonjour.msi error that I cannot resolve. I've searched high and low for how to fix this and cannot seem to find anything that works. The issue with this stupid Bonjour error is that it ALSO prevents me from UN-Installing iTunes... so I can't even scrap it and start over. It's a vicious circle! I'm stuck with version 10.2.2.12 that I cannot upgrade nor uninstall.
The exact error is:
"The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.
Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'Bonjour.msi' in the box below."
And then there's a path dropdown....
HELP!! I don't know what to do.  I think at this point, maybe it'd be easier to just completely uninstall iTunes and start over, as opposed to trying to find bounjour.msi and add it/update it...? I dunno.
Thanks,
Jennifer

If iTunes is installed, you'll be able to uninstall it using "Programs and Features" found in Control Panel

    Hi,
Can you please expand on your issue? As far as I can see all the previous functions of 11 are in 12 albeit shown differently. Using get info to edit date is still possible, again it looks and feels different.

  • Can I uninstall iTunes without losing all my music?

When trying to sync my iPod touch with my computer, I'm encountering an error in iTunes that tells me that the "Software for the iPhone is not installed..." and that I need to uninstall iTunes and then reinstall it.
That's all well and good, however both methods of backing up your music that are listed on Apple's support site have not worked for me. I can't get the CD's to burn and trying to copy the music over using the iPod itself was a total failure.
I've got iTunes on another computer and it recognizes the Touch just fine. It's the iTunes on the main computer with all the music that's giving me problems.
So, is there any way to uninstall, then reinstall, iTunes on my computer without losing the music?
Can I make a back up folder or something like that?

i had the same problem but it was fix
try to open the command prompt as administrator an write 'netsh winsock reset', sometimes don't work but lets try it

    Hi Stupid021,
If you are having an issue with signing in to update your software in iTunes, you may want to reset your Apple ID password. Use the steps in this article -

  • How can I reinstall iTunes without losing tune content of my iPod

I had a major Windows system 32 problem and had to reformat my hard drive. (Computer was backed up before incident.)
Later, I got a message about a corrupt iTunes driver and found iPod and iTunes in recycle bin.
    Long story short:
I have installed updated iPod software and now need to re-install iTunes. I read somewhere how to re-install updated iTunes without losing what is already on my iPod...but I forget where I read it.
Of course, I DON'T WANT TO LOSE the content in my iPod.
My understanding is that, if I do nothing to prevent it, when I download iTunes and connect my iPod to the PC, I will lose all my iPod content because the new iTunes library will be empty.
How do I get iTunes back again, without losing my iPod tunes?
All suggestions and help very much appreciated!!

  • How can I uninstall yosemite without losing all my stuff?

I just installed Yosemite tonight and I've realized that I absolutely hate it. Not only does it look horrible, but my computer is super laggy, wont load anything but firefox, and for a while it completely locked me out of my computer. I need my computer for work and school so this is absolutely not acceptable. I really just want to go back to mavericks, however I don't have an external hard drive or have time machine. How can I go back to mavericks without losing all my stuff?

Unless your machine shipped with Mavericks or, if not, you saved a copy of the Mavericks install app, you're screwed. Without a bootable backup/clone or TM backup of your previously good Mavericks installation, there's no way to get from here to there; unless you know someone that kept the Mavericks installer.

  • How can I uninstall iTunes from my PC and update my iPhone software?

I've been trying to update my iPhone 4 from iOS 4.1 to the newest version but I've encountered problem after problem.
First when I tried to update it through iTunes it said 'it cannot be restored at this time because the iPhone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable at this time'.
Now when I connect my iPhone to my laptop it says 'iTunes requires a newer version of Apple Mobile Device Support. Please uninstall both Apple Mobile Device Support and iTunes, then install iTunes again.'
So when I got to the control panel to uninstall iTunes it says 'the Windows Installer Service could not be accessed. This can occur if the Windows Installer is not correctly installed. Contact your personnel for assistance.'
I've been looking for a solution for hours and cannot find anything, I tried one solution which involved Regedit but it didn't work.
Can someone please please help me? I'm beginning to loose my mind!

  • Can I uninstall iTunes without losing all my files?

I am trying to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and to do so it says I need to uninstall itunes...if I do so will I lose all my files downloaded through iTunes?

There's no reason it should cause you to lose your files. Your music is in your iTunes folder, separate from the iTunes app. However, it is always recommended that you have a back up of any files that are valuable to you. An iPod doesn't count as back up.
Good practice would dictate that you back up any files on your computer that you can't afford to lose before doing a major system update. You can back up your iTunes by dragging the +entire iTunes folder+ to an external drive. This will save everything, including your playlists.
    Best of luck.

  • How can I use iTunes without connecting the external drive that has all my music on it?

I have all my music on an external drive.  Sometimes I would like to access iTunes, for purchases and other, without having that drive plugged in.  I used to be able to do this, but something has changed and I can no longer figure out how.  There must be a way.
    Thanks

Well, you can always ignore the fact it will automatically direct anything to a new blank library it will create on the internal drive.  Just let it do it (as long as you keep track of any purchases that download, or maybe you can turn off automatic downloading )  The next time you need to use it with the external drive hold down the option/alt key while starting iTunes and select the library file on the external drive.

  • HT2534 How Can I Use Itunes Without A Credit Card?

This problem is really starting to annoy me.
At first, I tried to make my Apple ID in Itunes, I wasn't able to make it though because I did not have a credit card. I had a look at the support and found out that there should be a 'None' option next to Visa, Mastercard, Paypal etc. I go through the process again in Itunes, expecting to find this 'None' button, but it does not exist. All there is is Visa and Mastercard. And option for Paypal isn't even there, even though the article I checked showed an image with it being there (Article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534).
So, I try to make my account via the apple.com website. I complete this with no question of billing, and I think the problem is solved. However, when I try to log in on Itunes, it is, once again, requesting my billing information which I cannot provide because I do not have a credit card.
Maybe Apple needs to make it possible for people who do not have credit cards to use this service that I have 'been told' is very good. Or maybe they should stop providing us with article with obviously outdated images.
If anyone has a solution to this problem, please let me know.

You can create a new account without credit card but you cannot change your exisiting account into NONE payment account.
Follow the instruction and create an account without credit card in iTunes on your computer.
Or on your iPod Touch, Purchase a free App then create a new appleID.

  • How can i uninstall firefox without being able to get into it in the first place?

I have Windows Vista. A few weeks back, i had installed Firefox 3.5.17, and had it running without any problems. When Firefox 4.0 came out, i installed that in the place of the older version. It was also running properly, but i couldn't use the Norton Toolbar for it because they were not compatable together. So i switched it back to 3.5.17, but when i tried to open it, it wouldn't. when i tried to uninstall it, it told me to 'Please wait until the current program is finished uninstalling or being changed.'
