How can I uninstall Oracle 10g express edition(Western European).

I tried to install Oracle 10g express edition(Western European) in my laptop which is having windows vista home basic, but it was not installed properly so that I remove the related files in the program files, and i again tried to install Oracle 10g express edition(Universal) but it was not installed saying that already Oracle 10g express edition(Western European) edition was there and both Oracle 10g express edition(Western European) and Oracle 10g express edition(Universal) cannot co exist. can any help me regarding this one.........
I need to install Oracle 10g express edition(Universal) now.

Oracle XE can be uninstalled like other applications from Control Panel => Add/Remove Programs
my laptop which is having windows vista home basicYour Vista version is not certified, as you can see in Oracle Certification Matrices ( Oracle Database is certified to run on the Business, Enterprise, and Ultimate editions of Microsoft Windows Vista ).

Can not upgrade oracle 10g express edition 10.2.0.1 to 10.2.0.4

I have install oracle 10g express edition 10.2.0.1 for windows 2003
now I want upgrade to 10.2.0.4,I download p6810189(10.2.0.4 patch)
When I upgrade 10.2.0.4 at OUI,have 2 option I don't know how to fill

Oracle 10g XE is rather specific and, I'm not sure that you can upgrade it to 10.2.0.4 .
However, Oracle published an Upgrade Guide for Oracle Express Edition but, it's limited to *10.2.0.3*:

But be careful:
Once you have upgraded to Oracle Database 10g, you cannot downgrade back to Oracle Database Express Edition.Hope this help.

Trying to uninstall oracle 10g express edition

Hello,
The title says it all.
I installed the application earlier and I'm now trying to unistall it.
I tried to use the "classic" unistall function from the control panel but it didn't work. When I clicked "unistall" the oracle icon disappeared and but the program is still there.
Is there any other way to unistall it?
The version is "oracle 10g express edition" installed on Windows vista.

I used this process and it worked:
1. Stop all oracle services
2. Delete all oracle registry entries
3. Delete C:\program files\oracle directory
4. Delete oracle_home directory
5. Delete oracle items from the start menu.

Can not connect Oracle 10g express edition from report builder.

I have newly installed report builder . Different home was selected for Report builder and oracle. Oracle database server is also in the same machine. But i am not able to connect my oracle 10g express edition database. It throws error ORA-12154 : TNS could not resolve service name.( same error displayed while trying to connect from SQL Plus).But from toad i am able to access the database. May be because here I am able to select the proper home.
Here i am adding my tns entry

i am from mexico, wehen i try install both files the installation is in spanish, i try change the regional settings pointin all to USA, restarted the PC and continue the installation process in spanish language, why???? what is wrong?

i fixed the problem :)
the problem is in: Control Panel-> Regional Settings-> Administrative ->Change System Locale, i changet do USA, restarted and all work fine, when i try install,

How can i create a new database instance in oracle 10g express edition?

to run my application i need to create another database instance
but i didn't find any option for doing so in that product

Can I import a tablespace into Oracle 10g Express Edition

I am very new to Oracle 10g Express Edition. We have a server running Oracle Enterprise Edition and we have been creating a transportable tablespace to be imported into a few servers. This works fine for us. I would like to find out if I can import the tablespace into Oracle 10g Express Edition. Someone told me that I should be able to do that but I have no clue to how to do it. If this is possible, can someone tell where to find the information how to do this.

I finally tried it and I got the following errors:

Am I right that the server that I exported the tablespace is using Oracle 10.2.0.2.0 while Oracle Express is 10.2.0.1.0? I looked around and I did not see Oracle Express version 10.2.0.2.0 that I can download. Is there a patch or something to upgrade it?
