How can I unistall an old version of Firefox if I do not have it in my add/remove programs?

I have Windows XP. I had Mozilla Firefox until I did a system restore,
now my desktop icon doesn't work and when I try to download a new
version of Firefox, it downloads but I get error messages when trying
to install it.

I should add, that when I do a search for Firefox files and applications, it returns over 300. Should I delete them all?

When reinstalling Firefox from a download, Firefox must be down once the installation starts. When the installation finishes, don't let the install start firefox for you. Instead end the install and start Firefox in your normal manner, thus preventing creating a new profile which does not have your bookmarks cookies, etc (but your old profile would still be around and would).

After updating to Firefox 5.0 I can't open Adobe pdf's on websites and in the preferences for Firefox it states it's incompatible. If this is the case how can I get the old version of Firefox back?

Sorry you are having problems. First of all try Fifrefox's safemode.

First: Try a clean install, (you have had a none standard version installed previously) that involves deleting the program files. Then if necessary try troubleshooting by creating and using a clean empty Firefox profile.

If your device is signed into an old iCloud ID that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

How can I run two different versions of Firefox, the latest does not work with an important site I need to use?

With the latest version of Firefox I cannot send "Quick Mails" to my students using the college's ANGEL system. I had to uninstall it and go to an earlier version. I prefer the newest rev.
Any way to run two different versions. It does not have to be simultaniously. Seems to be a problem on both my Mac and XP systems.

Currently I don't think there is a way to run two version of firefox at the same time. But you can install Firefox Beta or Aurora instead (which is build for future release for firefox) and help test it! Here's the link:
