How can I unlock a secure pdf on my ipad?

I am trying to unlock a book for school that I have the ebook copy too, I can do it just fine on my laptop but when I open it up in the app (acrobat dc) for ipad it won't let me fill in the password, therefore I cant see the book? Am I doing something wrong or can this not be done in the app?

Hi vivianag60699495,
I replicated the issue at my end, I opened a password protected PDF file in Acrobat DC app on my iPad, it did ask for the password & I was able to successfully gain access to the PDF file.
Recently there has been an update in the iOS version, please update your iPad to iOS 8 & then try to open the e-book in Acrobat DC app.
Let me know if it works for you. In case if you still need any help please let us know, we will be more than happy to help you.
Regards,
Aadesh

I have a Sonos system that doesn’t play secret iTunes songs.
How can I unlock the security from the iTunes songs, so I cane play a song on my Sonos system?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it.
If your back up continually fails, you might try turning off back up on your mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup) and then deleting the backup file from iCloud by swiping the backup file on the mobile device (settings > iCloud > storage & backup > manage…) and then turning back up on again.
Being able to back up to the cloud can be very useful, especially if you don't have access to a computer or have infrequent access to one, however unless you specifically need to use iCloud for back up, you will find backing up to iTunes significantly more convenient and possibly more reliable.

  • How can I edit a secure pdf?

I was sent a secure pdf file and asked to complete the information on each page.  How can I do this?

Secured doesn't necessarily means that you can't fill in the form fields.
Did you try to do it? If you can't then you need to report it to the file's
    authors...

  • How  Can I unlock the restriction code on my ipad

Hello I am trying to unlock the restriction code on my ipad but can't cuz I forgot the passcode

You can't unlock the restriction code.
You have to restore your iPad  as a new device and not from a backup. The backup will only load the forgotten passcode onto the device again. You will have to load all of your content onto the device so make sure that you have all content in iTunes as well - transfer purchases to iTunes on your computer.

  • Secure pdf viewing on ipad

How can i view a secure pdf on an ipad?

The Adobe Reader for iPad supports viewing of encrypted and LCRM protected PDF's. There are several other "secure" or "protection" schemes created by third parties, and we don't have the ability to open those documents. Have you tried your secure PDF in the Adobe Reader (available for free in the App Store).

The locked icon generally means that the PDF has some protection or signature applied by the author. Can you please share the PDF with us by emailing it to [email protected] with a link to this thread? We'll be able to tell you more about the restrictions applied.

You can make a PDF file out of you notes and handouts but using the Adobe PDF printer.
Open your PowerPoint Document then go to “File” “Print”
    Select ‘Adobe PDF” Printer
Under slides, select which way you want to print. Note it will not print to a printer but to a PDF file.
After then go into printer Properties and Setup PDF properties, do the following: (see second image below)
    Default: PDF/A 1-b
Adobe Security: none (change as needed)
Adobe Output folder: Prompt for Adobe file name
Adobe Page size: Letter (change as needed)
    Check the following check boxes
    View Adobe PDf Results,
    Add Document Information,
    Rely on system fonts only,
Delete Log files for successful jobs.
    Select OK
A pop will ask you where you want to save the document. The file extension should be PDF. After giving the file name select okay and the file should popup as a PDF. Down side is if you want to speaker notes included then you will have to do another file, like wise with just screen shots then combine into one PDF document.
I used Acrobat IX Pro. So to do this you need Acrobat IX or X Pro.
    Hope this will help.

  • How can I unlock comments in a review?

I saw this question in another discussion, http://forums.adobe.com/thread/648763, but it didn't have any answers and it's over a year old.
I have started a PDF review with my editor. He has made comments but I am unable to copy his text because they are all locked. See attached image.
How can I unlock his comments so I can copy his text? There are 50+ comments and it's not practical to re-type everything.
    Thanks for any assistance.

You can't unlock comments made by others while the Shared Review is still tracking the file.
From the Acrobat menu (File menu in Windows), choose "Save as Archive Copy". This creates a duplicate PDF with all the comments unlocked that is no longer connected to the Shared Review service. Your original tracked file can continue to collect new comments, saving an Archive Copy doesn't end the review.

  • How do I unlock a secure document?

    Hi,
I opened a fillable form that has been marked as locked or secure with a padlock icon labeled on it.  How can I unlock the document so I can edit it and fill out the form?

    Hi Drumbrae,
What are you trying to unlock? If it is an object (such as a Table) click on it to select it.
The little x marks will show that it is locked. But because it is now selected, the Menu item Arrange > Unlock will work.

You can't. You will have to place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.
