How can i unlock the network so i can use a uk sim on a norwegen iphone 3gs?
i need to unlock a 3gs so i can use a uk sim any ideas ???
Who said anything about having to fly all the way back to Norway?
To repeat, only the carrier the iPhone was sold as carrier locked with can officially unlock the iPhone, or submit the unlock request to Apple on the owner's request. She must contact the carrier in Norway - by telephone will do to find out if the carrier provides this and if she has met whatever the carrier's requirements are for the iPhone being officially unlocked. If so, the carrier in Norway will contact Apple for the official unlocking, which will be done with iTunes.
No one at the Apple Shop there can help with this.

Contacts should be in your supported computer contacts application.

You probably already figured this out, but....
The iPhone will sync from various things on your computer (check the manual for details) but if your Blackberry won't export the data or sync to anything, then you'll need to get the info off the Blackberry manually.
Alternatively, it might be possible to set the Blackberry up to sync with Google Calendar, maybe, to export the data? I don't know anything about Blackberrys. Try a google search or ask on BB forums with help getting the data out.
But it will be easier to manually type into something on your desktop/web, then sync with the iPhone, rather than hand-entering on the phone itself. Then keep syncing with whatever you decided to use, so that you'll never need to do this again. -

But - on Outlook I have many folders already set up.
I also have folders set-up on the webmail version on the email account that I use to get emails to my iphone.
But neither of these seem to sync to my iphone - none of the folders show on the iphobe.

Sprint is a CDMA carrier and does not require a SIM for use in the US.

Settings App > iCloud has Apple ID. Also Settings App > Store > Apple ID at bottom.

Sorry, the ~ symbol indicates your home directory. A shortcut to get there is to open a Finder Window - Go Menu - select Go to Folder.... and copy and paste ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.Image_Capture.plist into the search field. Finder will take you right to the file then drag the file to your desktop.

Hello there, i have an i Phone 3GS which was locked on the network Orange from U.K i finished the contract last year, but some how i cant unlock it to be able to use on a different network. tried to restore it on itunes but it says unable to process at this time.
under UK legislation, if your are out of contract (and not owing the carrier any debts!) they are LEGALLY obliged to unlock you, and within a certain number of (few) days.. search OFCOM for the regulations.
That said, they are also entittled to charge you for this (usually about £20!)
I believe, that this can also be done via an APPLE STORE, but the first option is always the Origional Network carrier.
Orange has a terrible repuation now for customer service (which is just one reason they changed their name to EE!, and yes, this is fact which is why they came Bottom in several recent customer satisfaction surveys.. so they are not going to rush to help you leave them are they..) -

Create main folder e.g. Folder A, then sub-folders inside A e.g. B, C, D and have your Photos in B, C, D.
In iTunes Sync, click your device on the left Pane, then on right pane select "Photo" tab.
Make sure Sync photo box is checked, then select folder A, then All folders box within the selection.
Click Apply or Sync button at the lower right window.
you will have B,C,D folders under Albums. -

This means that either your firewall/antivirus is blocking access to Apple's servers, or you have used your computer to jailbreak an iDevice in the past. The link above tells you how to resolve this issue. -

how do I get my passcode (not password) in my iphone5s sent to me via email. It's the one that is asked whenever you have to unlock the phone. I got used to having my thumb mark open it that I forgot it after my phone got recharged after it drained out. Apparently, the fingerprint won't do after the phone was drained and recharged again. The passcode has to be typed in. I don't usually allow my phone to drain out except this one time on a long trip. Hence I forgot my passcode and I prefer it being sent to me via my registered email. I know that if you enter it several times, the phone gets locked out over certain periods from 1 minute to 60 minutes so I don't want to take that risk. Any suggestions?
First, this is a user-to-user technical support forum, not a way to communicate with Apple.
That aside, no one can email your passcode to you because no one (not even Apple) knows it. The passcode exists in only one place - on the phone. You will have to restore the phone using the computer that you regularly sync it to. This will reinstall iOS, remove the passcode, and restore your most recent backup.

AGAIN. ALL U.S. iphones are carrier LOCKED to AT&T and CANNOT be activated with any other carrier in any other country.
You would need an iphone from the official provider in your country, or an unlocked iphone ( which is not sold at all in the U.S.)
