How can i upgrade to iPhoto 9.5?

Hello everybody,
I have the 9.43 version on OS Mavericks on an iMac, but there is no indication of an update to the 9.5 version in the App Store. I just could buy the new 9.5 version. Do You habe an advise for me?

You can upgrade to iPhoto '11 with OS X 10.8.5 by purchasing an iPhoto '11 DVD from Amazon, eBay or other source - or you can upgrade your OS to Mavericks for free if your system meets the requirements and then purchase the upgrade to iPhoto '11 version 9.5.x from the App store - in either case backup first in case of problems

The main reason for wanting to upgrade is to export the slideshow to a CD. Exen at the highest quality export 640 x 480, the .mov file is pretty low quality.

No you can not - neither iPhoto nor Aperture has any cross platform capability
You can share photos with the PC using MyPhotoStream or Shared PhotoStreames
You can not share the iPhoto library
And you can not put the iPHoto library on a NAS - it MUST always be on a volume formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) and mube on a fast wired local connection - it can not be on a Network
There are Digital Asset Managers that can do what you want - iPhoto and Aperture can not

If the Migration Assistant won't do it, move them over as you would any other folder; they're located in the Pictures and Music folders of your home folder by default. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

I copied the iPhoto Library to a CD and from there to the new MacBook
If you copied the library to the CD via the Finder it would be no different than the methods Terence suggested. If you used the Share ➙ Burn menu option from inside iDVD you'll get a mini library that has to be accessed from the open library and the events/alubums copied into the destination library. Not the same as the other methods.
The Share ➙ Burn method is no longer supported with iPhoto 9 and later.

If you want to be able to view the book with iPhoto on the other Mac you'll have to copy the library containing the book to the other Mac. You won't be able to import that book into the other library.
Make a duplicate copy of the library containing the book and rename the folder "Book Library". Open it with iPhoto and delete all of the files that are not in the book. Then copy the Book Library folder to the other Mac and open. You can also burn the Book Library folder to a CD as a way to archive the book in case you decide to order another copy at a later date. I create a separate library for each book I create and order and archive it to CD when I've ordered.
