How can I upload existing Apple Mail mailboxes to IMAC .mac account?

Hi... I use Tiger Apple mail on a POP account elsewhere and want to move to .mac IMAC so I can synchronize mail and maiboxes across computers. I have created my mail account on .mac and that is working fine. But I have a large number of mailboxes sitting in Apple mail on my computer. How can I upload those to the .mac account? I had anticipated tha synchronization would take care of it, but it hasn't.
Any advice apperciated

I have found the answer - in bottom of my mailbox list was a new entry representing the IMAP folders. I need to drag my old folders onto this and it synchronised - except that some ex-Eudora messages which had been edited in Eudora (oh hat we could do that in Mail) had not converted properly.

If you have an IMAP email account then you can create additional folders by logging into your email account on a browser and creating them there - they should then appear in the Mail. If you have a POP email account then you're stuck with the folders that you've got.

Junk mail filtering can be turned off by going to the Mail menu > Preferences > Junk Mail pane and unchecking the box Enable junk mail filtering. See this article -

I am not sure what you mean.
As Files they are sent in Chats (pic-in-chats) and displayed in-Line.
Or they are sent as Separate Files, invoking the File Transfer Invite Window and you can "Accept' (Download) to the iChat Downloads folder.
If an Active chat has a Pic in it, the pic can be dragged to the Desktop.
Older Chats, if Saved, can also have Pics "grabbed" from them when opened.
To be using an iChat version you need to be using OS X 10.7.x (Lion) or Earlier.
Mountain Lion has Messages. This adds the iOS style iMessages account to what iChat can do.
Pics can be "Saved" to the Desktop the same way.

How can i get my apple mail to show the top item

This is a small thing that is driving me nuts.
When I click on a mailbox, it starts the list at various places, instead of at the top. Usually it is one item down, so I have to scroll to get to the newest item.
Sometimes it starts in the middle of the list, so nearly every time I need to scroll a few millimeters up the list to read the new ones.
Why would it do this? It strikes me as being designed that way, but maybe it is just 'off' a bit in specs.
Any way I can adjust this? If not, Apple, could you please make this small adjustment?

More exact example:
I click on my sent messages to see the last one I sent. The window does not start at the top of my list, it starts at item number 6.
Every single time I go into sent mail I have to do the extra step of moving the right hand side slider up to the top.

I have gone into the preferences to set up custom headers, so that the icon sent to me from the email sender will display in the header, but do not see an option for this. I want to do this for Comcast as a source specifically, as they embed an icon in their official emails and I have been receiving phishing emails from sender pretending to be Comcast. Comcast states on their website, that you can see their icon in any mail they send, however, this does not happen on my version of Apple Mail (4.5).

On the Internet Accounts System prefs choose Add Other account…
Pick Mail account.
On the first page where you enter username and password, hold down the Option key and the Create button will change to Next. Click that with Option held down.
You can then manually create the account.

In System Preferences > iCloud, Sign out of his account and use your new credentials to sign in.
In the Mac App Store (MAS) you can sign in using different IDs to download applications purchased under the other ID.
Usually the Apple ID is an email that is NOT and iCloud email address. I know... this is confusing. After you create the ID, you can then create your own iCloud email address and two alises if desired.

Why can't I choose Apple Mail from Lightroom 4 Email Account Manager

I know that the built-in emailer in Lightroom is pretty half-baked but I'm having trouble even getting limited functionality out of it. While many people report you can send an email and leave the "From:" menu blank and that will take you to Apple Mail if you select it from the Email Account Manager. But I never get that option. All of my options are webmail: Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, Other... No matter what I do Apple Mail is never an option. Truth be told, what I'd really like is to find a way to automatically attach the image to a Gmail webmail session in Safari or Chrome so I could have use of my address book but that seems like a pipe dream. I'll settle for Apple Mail. Can anyone help?
Secondly, one of the other problems I have with the built in emailer is that Groups in the address book don't work at all for me. I've taken the time to input a bunch of addresses and then add them to a group. But I can find no conceivable way to automatically put that group in the To: field. It never comes up on autofill, can't drag it, nothing. I just have to manually type the addresses.

Apple Mail only appears if it's your default email client on the computer. For example, I have my default set to Postbox so Apple Mail never appears. It would appear in this pop-up:

I can reproduce the issue with the groups and I'll get that bugged, thanks. (There should be a checkmark in that Address Book dialog to allow you to check the whole group.

Make your user library visible and see if you can find it.
Go to Finder and select your user/home folder. With that Finder window as the front window, either select Finder/View/Show View options or go command - J. When the View options opens, check ’Show Library Folder’. That should make your user library folder visible in your user/home folder. Select Library.
