How can I upload .pdf file from Mac to iPhone or is there an app for that?

How can I upload a .pdf file from my mac to iPhone 3G?
Or is there an app that will allow me to that?
Thanks in advance
Zia

The app called "Air Sharing" allows you to do that. Connect to a wifi network, run the program and you can mount your iphone as a drive using Finder. Upload all the PDFs you like, and you can open them from within the Air Sharing app. Also, you can view most image files, most office files, etc.

  • How can I download TV programmes from the BBC iplayer. Is there an app for ipad that does this?

I have an ipad 2. I have BBC iplayer. The programme stops and starts as the broadband cannot cope with the streming. The solution is to download the programme from the BBC iplayer and into the ipad 2 for viewing later without all that mucking about with the streaming bit.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to download a programme from the BBC iplayer into an ipad 2? If there is an application that does this what is it?
    Many thanks to you all.

There is no iPad app to do this - the BBC's television license agreement wouldn't allow it.
There are desktop programs which will download programmes from BBC iPlayer which you can then sync to the iPad via iTunes, but technically they also operate against the terms of the iPlayer license. Google will help you find them.

Yes you can definitely do this. You'll need an app on the iPad that handles PDF viewing and editing. There are many around - two of the best I've seen are GoodReader and PDF Expert.
In iTunes when you iPad is connected to your PC, go to the Apps tab and scroll down and you'll see the File Sharing section. You can drag files to there to share them to your iPad.
You could also look at online file sync services like PDF to ePub Maker if you prefer not to have to connect your iPad to a PC

  • How can I read pdf files from LabVIEW with different versions of Acrobat reader?

How can I read pdf files from LabVIEW with different versions of Acrobat reader?
I have made a LabVIEW program where I have possibility to read a PDF document.  When I made this LabVIEW program it was Acrobat Reader 5.0.5 that was installed on the PC. Lather when the Acrobat Reader was upgraded to version 6.0, there was an error when VI tries to launch the LabVIEW program. And Later again when we upgraded to Acrobat Reader 7.0.5 I must again do some changes and rebuild the EXE files again
It isn't so very big job to do the changes in one single LabVIEW program, but we have built a lot of LabVIEW programs so this take time to due changes every time vi update Acrobat Reader. (We have build EXE files.)
The job is to right click the ActiveX container and Click "Insert ActiveX Object", then I can brows the computer for the new version of acrobat Reader. After this I must rebuild all the "methods" in the Activex call to make the VI executable again.
Is there a way to build LabVIEW program so I don't have to do this job every time we update Acrobat Reader?
This LabVIEW program is written in LabVIEW 6.1, but I se the problem is the same in LabVIEW 8.2.

    try the vi
    ..vi.lib\platform\browser.llb\Open Acrobat Document.vi
it uses DDE or the command line to run an external application (e.g. Adobe Acrobat)

  • How can I restore iCloud files from my lost iPhone

I backed up my files to icloud. But I lost my Iphone last week. How can I restore my files from icloud to my macbook ?

Are you using Photostream?  If yes, then you will be able to see your 1000 most recent photos on your Mac in iPhoto.
All your contacts, calendar events, emails, etc. will still be on your Mac as part of iCloud.
If you didn't import your videos from your iPhone to your Mac, then you've lost them unless you can restore your cloud backup to another iOS device.

  • How to transfer my PDF files from computer to iphone 5s

How to transfer my PDF files from my laptop to my iPhones 5 s and how to make folder to store those files?

The iphone does not have a file system to create a folder in, instead apps themselves are responsible for storing their files,
Use an app like ibooks or acrobat reader.
You can then transfer the files via itunes or email them and then use the open in... option and select your chosen app.
They will then be stored within that app.

  • How can i get pdf files from my ipad to my pc?

Please help im so lost, i need to get a pdf file from my ipad to my pc but it doesnt work with workspaces. I really need it for uni.

If you are running the Adobe Reader app on your iPad you can upload your pdf to .crobat.com and then download it to your laptop
On your iPad open your PDF in the Adobe Reader app
Select the save icon in the top toolbar - looks like a doc with a wrench)
    Select 'Save to Acrobat.com'
    Select the 'Get Started' button
Enter you Adobe ID and password
Your file should be saved up to Acrobat.com
    Go to your PC
    Launch your internet browser
    Open https://files.acrobat.com/
Log into Acrobat.com with the same Adobe ID as you used on your iPad
    Your file should be available
Select the file and select the Download icon
You can download the file to your hard drive
    Another option is
    Go to you PC
    Launch Adobe Reader
    Select File > Open
From the Open Dialog select the dropdown arrow beside 'Open from online Account' - select Acrobat.com
You will be prompted to enter your Adobe ID and Password
You should then see your PDF in the listings
    Select to open
Once open you can save to your desktop
    hope this helps

  • How can I transfer PDF files from my Apple to my iPad?

I can transfer "Word" documents from my Apple to my iPad by adding, within iTunes, the required files to the App. Pages and then sync.
I can also add PDF files to my Pages App in iTunes using the same method, BUT I can't open them in Pages - only the Word documents open.
Do I need a different to read PDF files in iPad or am I just doing it wrongly?
    Help - please

I don't have the Pages app (but I think that it may only supports exporting as PDF, not reading them), but if you have the iBooks app then you can sync them to that via iTunes : add the PDFs to your computer's iTunes (File > Add File To Library) and they should then appear in the Books part of your Library, and you can then sync them to the iBooks app via the Books tab that appears on the right-hand side of iTunes when you've selected the iPad 'device' on the left-hand side.
There are also other free PDF apps e.g. Adobe Reader

  • How can transfer my PDF file from my Computer to my iPad ? Ps: my computer not Mac .

I have books and files in my computer I want to relocate it to my iPad to read it, what should I do? Step by step please .
    My PC is not Mac.

You first need one or more apps on your iPad that support the types of file that you want to copy over to it, the iPad doesn't have a file system link a 'normal' computer, everything has to be stored within an app.
For PDFs there are free apps such as Apple's iBooks app and also Adobe Reader - and paid-for apps such as GoodReader (which also supports read-only of word and excel documents). For documents the options include Apple's Pages app for Word documents, Numbers for Excel spreadsheets and Keynote for Powerpoint. And from third-parties apps such as Documents To Go ('premium' version) and QuickOffice Pro HD. As to how you then get the file to your chosen app will depend upon what the app supports - different apps will have different ways of copying their content to/from a computer e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via your wifi network, email, dropbox etc.
For iBooks, which supports PDFs, you should be able to add the PDFs to your iTunes library via File > Add To Library, and they should go into the Books section of your library. You can then sync them to iBooks by connecting your iPad to your computer and selecting it on the left-hand side of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar via control-S), and on the right-hand side use the Books tab to select and sync them to the iBooks app.

  • How can I keep PDF files from closing spontaneously?

When I open a PDF file in Adobe reader it closes spontaneously in about 6 seconds. How can I fix that?

I've also been having the problem of spontaneously closing PDFs, since installing Reader XI. The problem is not systematic. Sometimes PDFs do not open at first attempt but do eventually open after two, three or four tries, then spontaneously close after anywhere from one second to several minutes to an hour (while I am annotating them). The files seem to stablise after some period of working on them. Some files do not crash at all.
I thought it might be embedded links to a server in India that cause the problem, until I had the same thing happen with a PDF I was looking at as a result of a web search. It does not happen with old PDFs, saved to my disc before Reader XI.
No one yet has been able to diagnose the problem...

  • How can i open pdf files from the web without saving them

    Windows 7
    Firefox 5
    Adobe Reader 9
when i want to see a web based pdf file i have to save it before opening it instead of it just opening in a pdf window.

    You can't.
Those PDFs are only accessible on the Mac.
They can not even be accessed by iOS.

  • HT201413 2 part question:  First how can I place/transfer files from itunes to an andriod device, second, why is it that EVERYtime I install an upgrade or reinstall old files saved on an external drive, the files get corrupted or songs shortened/ or don't

    Dear Apple Corps;
I have an issue with your software on my PC and iPad, iPod, and shuffle!  Everytime I download and update or try to reinstall files after having my computer "scrubbed"  they either won't open, can't be found or work poorly.   WHY????  I have been through alot of this over the last 3 years, and I am tired of files safely and securely transferred becoming corrupted or unusable or just plain deleted.   Please come back with and answer.  I also have invested heavy into iTunes files downloaded from the iTunes store, so how can I safely store a remote copy(s), to reload onto my cleaned hard drive or to a new device Apple or PC????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
Tired of wasted time manually loading files I should be able to use off a stored copy.

Some strange glitch has erased every single unlocked & unprotected file on my C: drive. It wasn't a virus because I checked autorun records and running processes using the respective Sysinternals utilities and didn't find anything suspicious.
I restored all data except for some system files and files that had "too long" of a path using shadow copies, which luckily for me were just a few hours old. Then, I decided to reboot into Recovery Environment and run System Restore from there. For even
more strange reason, the available restore points in RE were dated November 2010 (it's May 2012 right now) and the recent save dates are nowhere to be found.
To make matters worse, SFC doesn't work and Safe Mode shows BSOD after loading CLASSPNP.SYS.
    Error messages so far:
RE's startup repair tool: System files integrity check and repair error code 0x2
SFC: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation
    BSOD: 0x7B (0xFFFFF880009A9928, 0XFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x0, 0x0), but the HDD is perfectly fine - it's a dual-boot machine
    CBS.log: Failed to get CSI store. [HRESULT = 0x80073712 - ERROR_SXS_COMPONENT_STORE_CORRUPT]
What I need is a way to perform either an in-place upgrade without booting into Windows, or a way to fix the SXS Component Store, or rebuild the Safe Mode so that I could initiate upgrade install from there. A clean install isn't an option because I don't
have the luxury of time to run through the reboot cycles when re-installing and updating other software (I'm using Windows 8 CP for now as my work tools are mostly in the cloud).
It is not possible to do a repair install of a system unless you can boot to the system.
Have you checked the hard drive for problems? - download the manufacturer's test utility, create the disk, and run the extended checks.
