How can I use photos on macbook air and my own printer to make cards? I used to be able to -- but some software now only leads me to BUYING cards, or makes it seemingly impossible to manipulate the image so that I can see it on the size paper I will be using. This used to be do-able! How now? Thanks.

I know from searching this forum that Drobo wasn't suitable for use as a host of the iPhoto Library in the past - but now that Drobo can be formatted as a Mac OS Extended (Journaled) drive, I thought the problem was solved.
However, I can't get my Library to copy over successfully from the external drive I've been using up to now, I get the following error:
The Finder can’t complete the operation because some data in “iPhoto Library” can’t be read or written. (Error code -36)
This is confirmed by the fact that the copied library is much smaller than the original: The original is 94.88gb, and the copied file is 55.57gb.
When I open the new library, no thumbnails are visible, and no photos can be opened.
What's the recommended workaround for storing and using iPhoto on a Drobo?

That means there is some file(s) or folder(s) within the library that cannot be copied because the permissions on them are wrong or they are damaged in some way.
The Drobo has nothing to do with it.
Workaround: use a back up app like Chronosync to copy the Library to to disk. Any back up app that makes a straight copy of the Library (rather than increments) will do the job.

How can I use LCCS with ActionScript 3 and Flash CS4?

Hi,
Using Stratus I was able to create an an application using Action Script 3 and Flash CS4. The sample code on the Adobe site was quite straight forward and easy to understand. I now want to switch over to LCCS but can't find anything any where on how to use Action Script 3 and Flash CS4 with LCCS. Do I need to know Flex to be able to use LCCS? Everything was quite simple and easy to understand with Stratus and makes complete sense. But LCCS is really confusing. Is there any sample code on how to establish a connection in Action Script 3 and then stream from a webcam to a client. There is nothing in the LCCS SDK that covers Flash and Action Script 3. Please help! I found the link below on some forum but it takes me nowhere.

Please refer to the SDK's sampleApps folder. There would be an app called FlashUserList. The app demonstrates how LCCS can be used with Flash CS4. Its a pretty basic app, but should help you moving.

That's exactly what I tried to do, but the iPhoto librry doesn't show up in the pulldown menu. If I click "Choose Folder", the iPhoto library is greyed out and unable to be selected.
For some reason, iPhoto is an option in the pulldown library on my older iMac but not on my MacBook Pro. What gives?

The problem is that you are using application-identity. When you
specify an objectid-class, we treat is automatically as application
identity. To resolve this, I would recommend removing both the

"objectid-class" in place, we asssume that you wil take care of identity.

Thank you, I understand, yeah, I knew that, my phone is factory unlocked and I am going home, which is obviously not in the States and I am thinking of buying a local carrier there. However, I still have 2 weeks before I leave and cannnot wait to start using my Iphone 4. I thought at least I could use the mp3 player function.
