How can i use my custom login page in a custom partner application ?
Dear All,
I'm trying to customize a login page displayed other than the default sso login page
by submiting my form to the regular pl/sql procedure : "PORTAL.wwptl_login.login_url"
but i tried to type the requested partner application url in the browser i got the sso
login page other than my custom login page. So, How can i use my custom login page in a custom partner application ?

I cannot begin to express my level of frustration. I have been trying to use the composition widget light box display for some time now. I drag the widget to my document. The default widget has three small trigger boxes and a large area made up of a forward and backward button, a background, a text box and a frame for your image.
My steps have been …
I click on the little trigger box.
I click on the frame that holds the main image.
I go to the fill menu and browse my computer for my image and then click OK.
IT shows up on my screen. Yay
I attempt to continue using the next two trigger boxes provided in the widget.
After that, I add more by clicking on the little plus sign.
This is where all heck breaks loose.
Every single time I attempt to add thumbnails, something messes up. When I go to preview, either not all of my main images show up, or it starts with the wrong one, or some are missing. I have looked and looked for help on this and the only thing I can find is how easy it is to create a great portfolio lightbox display. But as we know, that only works when your thumbnails are the same image as the images in your lightbox. If you want something different, you have to use the composition wizard. I am finding it extremely difficult and confusing to customize.
Is there an exact sequence you need to use to add images to the slideshow? I am my wits end.

How can I use metric units in Page Setup dialog box?
When I go to my Page Setup dialog box, in Margins tabs, I see that I can specify the margins in inches. However, in my friends PCs, I have seen Page Setup dialog boxes that use millimeters for handling margins.
How can I make my version of Firefox to use millimeters instead of inches? Using this obscure unit is inconvenient for me. I prefer to use the internationally-accepted metric unit.I can't find documentation about the settings, so you'll need to experiment a bit. I hope you're using A4 paper size instead if US- Letter, because I suspect that you will find out that the length of the paper won't be able to be set to Letter if you use the metric size unit setting.

How can I use a different web page in the tabs
I'm getting this bing thing and I cant remove it and change it. Ive tried going to "about:config" and changing the browser url and keyword.URL but it wont change.. Very unhappy and thinking its time for a change.
There's a hidden setting for new tabs. It is quick to change, even though it takes a long time to explain it.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste '''newtab''' and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the '''browser.newtab.url''' preference and enter your preferred page:
* ''Page thumbnails (default)'' => about:newtab
* ''Blank tab'' => about:blank
* ''Built-in Firefox home page'' => about:home
* ''Any other page'' => full URL to the page
Press Ctrl+t to open a new tab and verify that it worked. Fixed?

How can I use documents created in Pages 08 with the most current version of pages?
I just upgraded to the most current version of Pages from Pages 08. However, none of my files created with Pages 08 will open. I am told that I first need to save them with Pages 09, but I don't have Pages 09. What can I do to convert these files into a format that works with the newest Pages?
I have the same problem. There are a couple of clumsy workarounds. One is to open your file with Pages 08 and export it as a Word document, then import it into Pages 5. The second one is to open the file in Pages 08, copy the contents to the clipboard and paste it into Pages 5.

How can I use fonts found in iDVD 08 in other programs?
I created a DVD using 6.0 Themes, Pass Through in particular, by exporting a slideshow movie from iMovie 06 and it looks great. Thank you's to forum members for the help I needed to resolve issues. Deleting the plist files and burning at 2 times speed did the trick to problems I encountered. But here's one I've been spending lots of time on: I used the font, Humana Serif Md ITC TT, on the DVD and I would like to use it on the printed cover, however, I can't access it from any other program. I've used Spotlight to no avail and it does not present itself on the list of available fonts on any other program I have. How can I use that font in Pages to use on my printed DVD cover?

It's essential that you do exactly as stated above while holding down the option key in the instructions that were kindly provided above. The option key serves to copy these files to an alternate location if I'm not mistaken. Holding down any other key but Option may have an unintended effect on the application itself.
So please do exercise caution while working within the Resources folder / showing package contents. -

How can i find the requested portal page in custom login.jsp
We are using a customized login, logout and change password page built in JSP.
The wwsso_ls_configuration_info$ has been updated to point to the customized
JSP pages. Everything works fine so far but we would like to show different
content inside the customized login page depending on which portal page that
was requested.
eg suppose the user requested a page that belong to page group X we want to
show login page with html content relevant to page group X. If page group Y is
requested, then it show relevant information for Y.
The ssousername, password field and other parameter needed for login page will
be left to the standard names defined by oracle login requirements.
For this purpose, we need to find which portal page was requested by user in
the customized login.jsp( as users tend to bookmark the portal page eg.
http://domain/portal/page?_pageid=33,30983,33_30985&_dad=portal&_schema=PORTAL)
Once i know the requested portal page, i can parse the _pageid to get the page group.Were you ever able to get this issue resolved? I would be interested in the solution if one was ever found. Thanks.

As I'm sure you know, the conundrum is that Reports doesn't know how many total pages there will be in the report until it is all done formatting, which is too late for your needs. So, one classical solution to this problem is to run the report twice, storing the total number of pages in the database using a format trigger, and throwing away the output from the first run when you don't know the total number of pages.
Alternatively, you could define a report layout so that the number of pages in the output is completely predictable based upon, say, the number of rows in the main query. E.g., set a limit of one, two, ... rows per page, and then you'll know how many pages there will be simply because you can count the rows in a separate query.

i have configured trusted identity provider for my public facing internet portal, but i dont want to use the login screen
since i have about 10 site collection which will use this authentication.
is there a class or property that gives me the url ready with the parameters like "wa" and "wtrealm" and the redirect url based on the place the user click the link from.You can create your own login page and specify the URL for it in the authentication provider settings of a Web Application or Zone. So the easiest way to do what you want would be to extend your existing Web Application to a new Zone, change the login
Page url to point to use your custom zone, and tell users to use the url of that zone to login with the custom provider you have built.
If you want a single zone then you will need to modify a copy of the login page you display above and have it redirect to a custom login page for your identity provider if the pick the correct entry in the dropdown.

Web Module App not using custom login page.
Iu2019ve created a simple Web Module Application that I wish to use a custom login page for authentication. From previous posts it looked like this would be easy. Iu2019ve made the changes below and have redeployed my application. When the application runs it forwards to the standard SAP login page rather than my login page. What am I missing?
