How can i use my Virus TI Keyboard as a softsyth in GarageBand '11?

Hey everyone!
I am trying to connect my Virus TI to GarageBand '11 but don't seem to find a way of integrating any VST plugins as SoftSynths.
I read about a way to add a soft syth in the software instrument tab where a down arrow should lead me to external softsynth, however i can't find it.
Does anyone have an idea?

GB doesn't support VST type plug-ins, only AudioUnits (AU)

Once the keyboard is connected, it should work with any app that uses the standard keyboard interface, so it will work with iWork.

Huh.. Interesting. I went back to check these proceedures and found there is a difference between using the return key or the space bar as the action command.
tabbing the blue ring moves the selection and then spacebar takes that action. The return key takes action of only the blue collored button.

There are two types of sustain pedal... One's with + polarity and ones with - polarity
The sustain pedal you are using, has the oppostie polarity from the standard.. which means when you press it it acts as if it is not pressed and vice versa...
Unfortunately, unlike a lot of keyboards... the Launchkey doesn't provide a setting that allows you to correct this issue... which means that unless the pedal you are using has a built in polarity switch...(In which case power down your keyboard, unplug the pedal and select the opposite setting to what is set now and then plug it back in and power up your keyboard) your sustain pedal is the wrong type and is not compatible with the Launchkey....
Failing that, here is an example of a sustain pedal that has a polarity switch so you can use it with any keyboard....

Starting a couple of days ago my mouse and keyboard stopped working suddenly.
How are they connected? In my case they are wireless and their receiver is plugged into my USB hub. After an update I found the OS inexplicably not recognizing my USB hub and hence any devices which were plugged into it. My fix was to
plug the receiver into a different USB port (so I could use the mouse and keyboard; otherwise I would have had to use the OSK via Touch or pen.) Once I had normal access into my machine again I used Device Manager to remove all USB controller and
hubs (including hidden ones) and I then shut down, disconnected all USB devices and powered back up, this time using only Touch to get going. Once the OS had settled down I started plugging stuff back in the way that I wanted it to be recognized.
If I didn't have Touch I would have had to have left the wireless receiver plugged in both places which I assume would be OK. I have no idea why updates have such a catastrophic effect for USB devices.

thanks a lot friends for your suggestion on using 'c' language to implement the control of the keyboard ie. to prevent a key stroke of : ctrl+alt+delete keys from closing a running java application. i was advised that it won't be possible to implement this with java language, the use of 'C' language was suggested. i then wish to ask the following:
1. how can i use 'C'language in a java program and be able to compile to program so that the resultant program can help me prevent the closing of my java-application when the user of the application presses the following keys : ctrl+alt+delete. i don't even know the c language at all. how can i start and how can i combine the resultant code with java.
2. i'm thinking of creating an application that retrieves information from a database, like microsoft sql or oracle, and displays the resultant data from a table, say STUDENT TABLE, in a java application using the JTable class. i don't even know how to use this JTable but i've seen it used and know it will suit what i have in mind.
3. how can i make the table dynamic, ie. how can i make the table to immediately register / show the result of an update to the 'STUDENT' table in the database.
4. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP IN ADVANCE. i will most appreciate it if you can give me a sample code or a site where i download one. once again thanks.

Good luck disabling Ctrl+Alt+Del! I've read quite a bit about it, and at least on Windows 2000 (not sure about NT) or higher, disabling it is next to impossible. Problem is CAD is a system command, and the OS doesn't even send the keys to the active program. Ctrl+Alt+Del is handled by the GINA (Graphical Identification and Authentication) DLL installed on the system. You'll have to write and export the functions you need and change the GINA DLL used by the system to your own. Bear in mind that any small mistake in the dll can cause you to lose access to your computer if you haven't taken precautions!
On Windows 95/98, disabling Ctrl+Alt+Del is fairly easy as you just have to write some simple native code to fool the system that a password protected screensaver is running.

I really like Safari. As I see it, the only short coming is a feature that is present in Internet Explorer and Firefox. In both of these applications I can hold down a modifier key (CTRL) and roll the mouse wheel to go back 1 page in history. This roll back feature is one of the things I use more often than almost anything else.

Yes, I could move my hand from the mouse to keyboard to use a key combo... I could even use the delete key... but it's not really as effient as using the mouse's scrollwheel.
