How can I use LCCS with ActionScript 3 and Flash CS4?
Hi,
Using Stratus I was able to create an an application using Action Script 3 and Flash CS4. The sample code on the Adobe site was quite straight forward and easy to understand. I now want to switch over to LCCS but can't find anything any where on how to use Action Script 3 and Flash CS4 with LCCS. Do I need to know Flex to be able to use LCCS? Everything was quite simple and easy to understand with Stratus and makes complete sense. But LCCS is really confusing. Is there any sample code on how to establish a connection in Action Script 3 and then stream from a webcam to a client. There is nothing in the LCCS SDK that covers Flash and Action Script 3. Please help! I found the link below on some forum but it takes me nowhere.

Subject: How can I use LCCS with ActionScript 3 and Flash CS4?
Hi,
Welcome to the LCCS world.
Please refer to the SDK's sampleApps folder. There would be an app called FlashUserList. The app demonstrates how LCCS can be used with Flash CS4. Its a pretty basic app, but should help you moving.
We are trying to improve our efforts to help developers in understanding our samples. Please do let us know if we can add something that would help others.
Thanks

how can I use microsoft word, power point and those apps in my new iMac ? i bought this iMac yesterday so am new on tho and i would like to know
If you absolutely must have the Microsoft applications, you can purchase and download them from http://microsoft.com/mac.
Free software suites LibreOffice and OpenOffice offer similar functionality (word processing and spreadsheets).
Or you could do worse than look at Apple's Pages, Numbers and Keynote, which should already be installed in your Mac and can export to Microsoft formats if need be.

Hi,
Here is it specs:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&docname=c03343048#N1221
You can only see:
Front:
1 - Screen area
2 - Microphone array
3 - Webcam camera
4 - Stand
5 - Speakers
Back:
1 - Optical disk drive (actually right)
2 - Stand
3 - Kensington lock slot
4 - Power button
5 - Memory card reader and other I/O on left side
6 - Motherboard back I/Os (specific I/Os are model dependent)
7 - Activity indicator
8 - Power connector
9 - LAN (ethernet)
10 - Four USB 2.0 ports
11- Audio port (actually left side)
Left:
1 - Hard drive activity indicator
2 - Memory card reader activity indicator
3 - Memory card reader
4 - Two USB 2.0 ports
5 - Microphone jack
6 - Audio port
Right:
1 - Optical disc drive
The only hope is "6 - Motherboard back I/Os (specific I/Os are model dependent)" area:
Please check area 6 above. As mentioned in my previous reply: Most likely your machine has no video out port.

How can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.
how can we use TABLE CONTROL in BDC and WORK FLOW of ABAP.?
please explain the important questions.How to deal with table control / step loop in BDC
Steploop and table contol is inevitable in certain transactions. When we run BDC for such transactions, we will face the situation: how many visible lines of steploop/tablecontrol are on the screen? Although we can always find certain method to deal with it, such as function code 'NP', 'POPO', considering some extreme situation: there is only one line visible one the screen, our BDC program should display an error message. (See transaction 'ME21', we you resize your screen to let only one row visible, you can not enter mutiple lines on this screen even you use 'NP')
Now with the help of Poonam on sapfans.com developement forum, I find a method with which we can determine the number of visible lines on Transaction Screen from our Calling BDC program. Maybe it is useless to you, but I think it will give your some idea.
Demo ABAP code has two purposes:
1. how to determine number of visible lines and how to calculte page number;
(the 'calpage' routine has been modify to meet general purpose usage)
2. using field symbol in BDC program, please pay special attention to the difference in Static ASSIGN and Dynamic ASSIGN.
Now I begin to describe the step to implement my method:
(I use transaction 'ME21', screen 121 for sample,
the method using is Call Transation Using..)
Step1: go to screen painter to display the screen 121, then we can count the fixed line on this screen, there is 7 lines above the steploop and 2 lines below the steploop, so there are total 9 fixed lines on this screen. This means except these 9 lines, all the other line is for step loop. Then have a look at steploop itselp, one entry of it will occupy two lines.
(Be careful, for table control, the head and the bottom scroll bar will possess another two fixed lines, and there is a maximum number for table line)
Now we have : FixedLine = 9
LoopLine = 2(for table control, LoopLine is always equal to 1)
Step2: go to transaction itself(ME21) to see how it roll page, in ME21, the first line of new page is always occupied by the last line of last page, so it begin with index '02', but in some other case, fisrt line is empty and ready for input.
Now we have: FirstLine = 0
or FirstLine = 1 ( in our case, FirstLine is 1 because the first line of new page is fulfilled)
Step3: write a subroutine calcalculating number of pages
(here, the name of actual parameter is the same as formal parameter)
global data: FixedLine type i, " number of fixed line on a certain screen
LoopLine type i, " the number of lines occupied by one steploop item
FirstLine type i, " possbile value 0 or 1, 0 stand for the first line of new " scrolling screen is empty, otherwise is 1
Dataline type i, " number of items you will use in BDC, using DESCRIBE to get
pageno type i, " you need to scroll screen how many times.
line type i, " number of lines appears on the screen.
index(2) type N, " the screen index for certain item
begin type i, " from parameter of loop
end type i. " to parameter of loop
*in code sample, the DataTable-linindex stands for the table index number of this line
form calpage using FixedLine type i (see step 1)
LoopLine type i (see step 1)

changing pageno type i (return the number of page, depends on run-time visible line in table control/ Step Loop)
changing line type i.(visible lines one the screen)
data: midd type i,
vline type i, "visible lines
if DataLine eq 0.

endif.

if midd = 0 and DataLine gt 1.
pageno = pageno - 1.

endform.
Step4 write a subroutine to calculate the line index for each item.

changing Index type n. (index on the screen)

index = index + Line - 1.
endif.
if Line = 2.
index = index + Line - 1.

changing begin type i
end type i.
If FirstLine = 0.

How can I use an IF ELSE statement and the xdoxslt: get_variable together?
First of all, I'm a big fan of this forum and I just want to thank the community for helping make the BI Publisher world a better place.
I'm trying to populate a table with a years worth of data with the column=PRODUCT and row=month of DATE. Here's the catch, not all of the months will have data. Can someone help me find a solution to either one of the attempts below or a completely new method? Thanks!

<?if: xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'BP4'),01 then xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'JAN1',PRICE) else xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'JAN1',0) end if?>
<?xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'JAN1')?>
<?end if?>
2) I tried this and it didn't work:
<?xdoxslt:ifelse(xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'BP4')='01',xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'JAN1',PRICE),xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'JAN1',0))?>
<?xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'JAN1')?>
<?end if?>
3) I tried this and it didn't work:
<?xdofx:if xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'BP4')='01' then xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'JAN1',PRICE) else xdoxslt:set_variable($_XDOCTX, 'JAN1',0) end if?>
<?xdoxslt:get_variable($_XDOCTX,'JAN1')?>
<?end if?>

Edited by: 990965 on Feb 28, 2013 8:27 AMlet me clarify my logic, the template 1) searches for the relevant PRODUCT (in the case below, it searches for BPD which is the column in the table) 2) searches for the relevant month in DATE (which is the row in the table) 3) if data exists, get PRICE else default to 0
Variable definitions:
BP4 = numeric month value from DATE (more code to get this value not included here, but it works...)
JAN1 = set to PRICE if data exists for that month, else 0
the query is only pulling all of the existing data, so if there's no data for March then there wouldn't be a March entry in the xml. In the sample xml below, we only have data for the first two months (Jan, Feb) so that's the only data in the xml. I can't check if PRICE is null because the xml will not have any data for March.
I've read through other threads and it seems that BI Publisher can't use an IF THEN ELSE with the XDOXSLT:GET_VARIABLE. I sent the template and xml to you.
Sample XML:
<ROW>
<Name>Craig Hernandez</NAME>
<DATE>2013-01-01T00:00:00.000+08:00</DATE>
<PRICE>31</PRICE>
<PRODUCT>BPD</PRODUCT>
</ROW>
<ROW>
<Name>Craig Hernandez</NAME>
<DATE>2013-02-01T00:00:00.000+08:00</DATE>
<PRICE>30</PRICE>
<PRODUCT>BPD</PRODUCT>
</ROW>

Please how can I achieve the following in java:
(1) Create a Grid (spreadsheets-Like) with JTable and be able to add new record (rows) as I reach the end of the last column during data entry.
(2) Save the content of the grid to a text file as well as a database.
(3) Retrieve the content of the text file or database to the Jtable

Hai friends when i tried to use the bitmap indexes and table partitions feature ,
I got a message like this
'table partiotion feature not enabled'
so please tell me how can i enable those features so that i will be able to use those features..........Partitioning and Bitmap Indexes are features of Oracle Enterprise addition. In fact, I think that Partitioning is an extra option that needs to purchased with Oracle Enterprise - it is not a default feature.
These features do not exist on Oracle Standard Edition (and likely Express Edition too). -
How can I use Time Capsule for backups and an external hard drive?
I have a large file/program on my iMacs hard drive that is 62GB and I would like to keep only things I need on my iMac. I have a 2tb time capsule currently used for backing up. It has roughly 1.66 TB free. How can I move the 62GB program onto my Time Capsule and still use it for backups? Also, is this stable? And don't worry about backing the program up because it came on 8DVD discs.
Thanks.1. Mount the Time Capsule as a drive and drag the application over to it. If the application requires system components, those won't be transferred; if those are only data files, you may be able to drag them over as well and then create a symlink or alias to a folder enclosing their current location.
2. The application may work slowly if this is done. Note that Time Machine will eventually use up all the free space on the Time Capsule that isn't reserved by being allocated to a disk image.

How can I use an old Mac as a monitor for a Mini?
My sister has an old iMac, circa 2006, that can no longer be updated, so she's considering getting a Mini and somehow using the old iMac as a monitor. Is this possible? I found a very old post that referred to ScreenRecycler, but this appears to be a defunct or out of date product. She has a wifi network, so I'm wondering if that can be used, both for initial setup of the Mini and for normal use, or if an ethernet connection is preferable.
