if i wanted to watch a video on metacafe.com or news.com etc, how can i view them on my Ipod Touch, it seems the only online content is on the YouTube App.

As vgking96 explains, they pretty much have to be in that QuickTime friendly format. That said, I am at this moment watching the first video on the opening page of metacafe. I noticed as the clip loaded that the QT icon was showing, so just open the page and click on the video.
For those that do not come in this format, for example flash content, a small cube with a question mark will be displayed instead; and I cannot remember what is displayed for WMP (vgking96?).

As a video professional, i agree and am VERY disappointed with this policy. I attended CC presentations at various conventions, film festivals and meetups for a year-and-a-half before I made the leap to CC, and no one EVER mentioned a restriction to transferring video files.
Whether it's to save storage space or not, that's how it APPEARS to the end user. Anybody who knows ANYthing about how video pirates commit their crime (which it most-certainly is), knows that there are plenty of FREE, untraceable (or nearly-anonymous) resources to carry it out. The need for anyone to pay $30 or more per-month to do it with an acct that has their info attached to it is ludicrous! If anything it's CONTRIBUTING to piracy to encourage creatives to transfer their material to collaborative parties using a less-secure, more heavily-trafficked third-party service than the one they're paying for exclusive use for.
Adobe's policy makers need to review this restriction and remove it or provide ANOTHER reason why it exists because this one doesn't fly. And if it continues, make sure a disclaimer gets inserted in CC pitch presentations because likely half of the attendees are working with video.

you have to install avs video converter and then well im not going to translate everything but it explains you all the settings to put to have a video for you ipod. after it was converted like the website says open itunes and then drop the conveerted file to itunes and it will work (well it did with me)

Hi All...having an issue finding an application to use to view videos on another website that uses flash player. I have Flip for Mac, but this doesn't solve the problem. Without this(Adobe) app, the videos will not run, rendering use of the website usless. Finding more and more issues in trying to use these video tutorials on my iMac/Maverick. Not to sounds rude, but this issue has been covered so much in the media that I find it hard to believe that people still don't know. However all iOS devices, never and will never support flash natively. Google "apple adobe flash war". There are some alternatives, try skyfire browser in the app store. Not perfect but might help. None the less, most sites these days support html5 video which runs on iPad. I am actually having hard time running across a site which doesn't support iPad. however that is my personal experience based on my personal interests.

Merely clicking the Preview icon in the Dock doesn't cause it to open anything, unless you had one or more windows open the last time it quit.
If you're sure you've installed the latest version of Flash, take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried. After each step, relaunch Safari and test.

Flash Player version 10.1.102.64 is the last version available to PPC Mac users. However, this Flash version won't work for many videos on Facebook, YouTube and other sites. Adobe's latest version, 10.2.x or later, is only for Intel Macs. Adobe will not provide a newer Flash version for PPC Macs.
