Im also needing to just edit the photos but adding text. Nothing fancy. I just want to make some flyers.
For editing photos, to be output to the printed page (whether by a commercial printing service, or a desktop printer), I strongly recommend Photoshop Elements (PsE).
If you need to output to a video file, then Premiere Elements (PrE) can possibly do what you want, but not for the printed page - at least not easily, and with the ultimate results. First, Video is not dependent on DPI/LPI (Dots Per Inch, or Lines Per Inch), where printed material will be. Also, while PrE can output a Still Image, the quality, when printed, will be far less, than what one can obtain with PsE.
Do you currently have Photoshop Elements on your computer, or only Premiere Elements?

Hi, i'm going crazy with the date/time classes, just can't seem to work it out.
I need to know the current time as a GMT time.
I need to know wherever the program is running, i myself am in Amsterdam GMT+02:00 , my server is located in Canada GMT-04:00 (?)
I parse dates from websites all over the world so i get times in the form of strings of which i know the timezone. I need to store everything in a mysql database and i want the database to contain GMT times only.
I've worked out how to get a string from its timezone into GMT but,
how can i get the current time as GMT ?
somehow i keep getting timeshifts i cannot explain.
this is where i got to:

Which is fine if i run it in Amsterdam, it gives me the current date/time in GMT, but on the server in Canada it gives me GMT+4 hours. What am i missing ?

I failed to register on photoshop in time. How can I work with the photos I have there?

I already have photos on my computer in Photoshop but I failed to register within the time limit, so now I cannot do anythiing with my photos. How can I get to use my photos that I already have on photoshop? I am just now signing up for an account on Photoshop.

Your photos aren't stored in Photoshop. They are stored on the hard drive, they only open in Photoshop.
Check your hard disk for the photos you're searching for.

How can I work through a Burn DVD problem?

In a perfect world, you could put together a project out of any media, click the Share tab and burn it to a disk. Unfortunately, for a variety of reasons – some related to Premiere Elements, most related to operating system drivers or program conflicts, this sometimes doesn’t go as smoothly as it should.
The simplest solution is to break the process down into its elements and then troubleshoot each element individually.
There are three main reasons for a problem burning a DVD or BluRay disc: challenging source video (including photos that are larger than the recommended 1000x750 pixels in size); interfacing issues with your disc burner (often the result of a program like Nero not sharing the burner with other programs); and lack of computer resources (namely lack of available scratch disk space on your hard drive). This workaround eliminates most Burn Disc problems. And those it doesn’t eliminate, it at least helps you isolate where the problem is occurring.
1. Burn to a folder rather than directly to a disc. Select this option from Share/Output/Disc. This eliminates the possibility that other disk burning software is interfering with communication with your computer’s burner. Once the disk files are created, you can use your computer’s burner software to burn the VIDEO_TS folder and its contents to a disk.
If this doesn’t work, it could be that your computer lacks the necessary resources, as discussed below.
2. Clear space on and defragment your hard drive. A one-hour video can require up to 50 gigabytes of free, defragmented space on your hard drive to render and process (depending on your source files). Even a “pure” AVI project can require 20-30 gigabytes of space.
Clear off your computer and regularly defragment it, per Maintain Your Computer, above, and you’ll reduce the likelihood of this being an issue – assuming you’ve got an adequately powered computer and an adequately large hard drive in the first place.

What I would do is start a new project i.e. XXXXXX Final Cut.
Then I would import the finished AVI file into the project and burn it to DVD.
I have also found that PE is sensitive to the files being fragmented.
When I have a project in the works I defragment the drive or the folders that the project is before proceeding.
This has actually made the difference between whether it would work or not on some projects.
I also shut down and restart the program just before burning the project to disk, to clear out any thing using resources.
I use Defraggler to defrag my files it's free and works really well.
And you can chose to defrag what you want or the whole drive.
I run it several times a day when I'm working on big files.

How can I remove only the middle elements from a 2-D array?

Hello all!
We have had an issue at my work where some of our graphs featuring a Gaussian curve have an unusual rectangular distortion in the middle of the curve (sorry that I have no image to show you, the error is before my time at the company, and I've been asked to find a solution before it happens again). Basically, what should be a Gaussian curve is leveling off briefly and looking like a rounded square wave. We know what causes the distortion, so I only wish to remove the middle part, giving it the appearance of a Gaussian. It's odd, but it actually offers a good approximation of what we want. The graph is made from a 2-D array of Double values, and we can estimate the size of the leveled-area, so I figured that removing the middle elements from the graph would accomplish this. Does anybody know a way I can accomplish this?

How can I import selected photos from iPhoto into Premiere Elements on the Mac?

I run Premiere Elements on a Mac (Lion O/S). I have more than 13,000 photos in iPhoto that I would like to be able to access from Premiere (to include shots relevant to the video I am compiling). How do I do this?
I also have Photoshop Elements but not yet installed it since I do not want to replicate all these photos - will consume too much hard drive space.

The way I do this on my iMac : I select the required photos in iPhoto, then I export them on a specific folder I create for the video,
generally a subpart of the area where I have captured my HDV footage with Premiere Elelements.
Then, I import these specific pictures in my Premiere Elements project.
For Photoshop Elements, it has 2 parts : the organizer of your library, which requires to create a copy of your photos, and the modifier
which you can use as a complement to iPhoto only to modify your pictures with possibilities given by Photoshop.
As I have enough space on external hard drive, I use Photoshop and iPhoto to have permanently a back-up copy of my pictures.
It was my choice related to my configuration.

How can I mkae a simple photo edit on premiere elements 12 without using the video feature?

I was told when I spent $1000+ on my HP and all the software that I would have what I needed to edit photos and/or edit videos. I am a yoga teacher so I am posting my classes online as videos, as podcasts, and I also need to edit some of my personal photos to use for marketing material. I can see where I edit photos for a video and incorporate them in that said video but Im also needing to just edit the photos but adding text. Nothing fancy. I just want to make some flyers.

How can I make a stop motion animation using Premiere Elements 13?

I am trying to make a stop motion animation with a series of still shots. So far I have managed to speed up the shots so that I have one frame per second but this is still not fast enough and I can't work out how to make them go any faster!
I am working on a class project with my 8/9 year olds and the project has stalled at this point because I can't get past this hurdle. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

How can I fix error message 150:30 in Premiere Elements?

Running Premiere Elements opens the message 'Licence for this product has stopped working' and Error 150:30. I have restarted my pc but it still appears.

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
Without that information, I will assume Premiere Elements 11, 12, or 13 on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit to give you some ideas of where I am going on this.
You could try going to FLEXnet Licensing in Computer/Manage/Services and Applications/Services and make sure that FLEXnet Licensing in the list is started.
If found stopped, please start it.

But what I will work for you will be
a. uninstall the program the usual Control Panel way
d. do a ccleaner run through (regular cleaner and registry cleaner parts)

Firefox keeps prompting users to disable java plugins How can reinable them through the command line or registry?

Windows users keep getting prompted about java version being insecure and are advised to disable the plugin. They then complain that java based websites no longer work. Can I disable / prevent this warning feature. And can I re-enable java plugin via command line or script? I need to do this on a large scale and various versions of firefox. Right now I will need to abandon firefox if I cannot easily resolve this. Yes I realize updating to latest version of java is a solution... but this will take too much time now and how long before another security fix for java and then I will have to update yet again.

Tylerdowner, to say that Firefox 3.6 is no longer supported is not an answer. Apparently, the so-called block deployed for the Mac OS X version of Firefox, created to deal with a vulnerability in Oracle's Java, has now crept into the Windows version. Moreover, it is blocking the latest version of Java, which was not intended according to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=741592. The official text of the block follows:

Well, whoever wrote the code to block the Java plug-ins specified above screwed up, since it is blocking even the updated Java plug-in.
I have an enterprise with many computers, and we had deployed Firefox as our browsing platform. Based on the latest decisions at Mozilla, new version numbering, forced release cycle, and almost all add-on vendors just walking away from the maintainence nightmare created by this decision, I guess it's time to move over to the Dark Side and adopt Google Chrome.

You can loop through every section, then through every object, and check to see if it is a TextObject or not.
ie:

How can I work out the Total Uptime between two points?

I need to find the TOTAL uptime between a certain date and now (need to separate for an electricity bill). Can someone help me with a script or something?

I'm confused as to what you are looking for if uptime is not it.
I need to find out how long it has been powered on from the 6th August 2014 to now. Any ideas?
If the system has been rebooted in that time then you might be able to go back into the log files and as Mark Jalbert wrote look for the times the system was shutdown and then booted and get a rough figure that way. But of course this requires that the log files since August are still available.
Of course what the system was booted there is no guarantee all external peripherals were also on and when the system was shutdown there is no guarantee that all the peripherals were turned off so at best you are getting a rough estimate.

How do I publish a video in flash from Premiere Elements 13?

I've created a video I wish to publish on my website using flash, as I have with previous videos. However, I no longer see flash as a choice unto itself. If I choose "Flash Video for YouTube," the warning pops up that "The video duration exceeds the maximum duration supported by the destination." It's not actually for YouTube, but I don't see any obvious was to create flash output other than for YouTube.
In previous versions, flash output was an option with no (practical limit) on the output size.
Is there some option/choice I'm missing?

No flash video export and no workaround that I have ever seen for this Premiere Elements 13 situation.
Premiere Elements 13 no longer offers the Publish+Share/Computer/Adobe Flash Video as last seen in version 12/12.1. It is what it is. No workarounds
that I have seen. Even the webDVD feature has been removed from Premiere Elements 13.
Other considerations in what you wrote
a. Premiere Elements' built in feature has its file size and duration limits (for 13/13.1) 2.2 GB and 15 minutes. YouTube extended time accounts do not
work in the Premiere Elements built in feature.
b. Use of the YouTube preset "flash video for YouTube" uploads the Timeline content to YouTube where YouTube does the file conversion to flash format
for display there. Any copies of your own uploads to YouTube have been available, but as .mp4 and not FLV or F4V.
That is what I have been able to put together with regard to the questions that you presented.
