How can I write a text (paragraph, etc.) within a shape?
I know that this should be an easy one, but I have not been able to figure it out. I tried searching the online manual but I have not been able to succeed. I need to write several paragraphs within different shapes (circle, etc.), even personalized shapes. Can any body help? Thanks.
You can do type inside a path and also type along a path.
(sometimes finding stuff in help manual can be tricky cause
it's not always where you expect to find it)
If you use the help application from within photoshop (Help>Photoshop Help)
you can use the search to find stuff.

How can I write to text file colorful texts
I save system events in a text file, for example when system give warning message i want to write it red
As others have mentioned, if you want to view text in different colors with an viewer/editor tool outside of LabVIEW, you must provide the necessary formatting for that tool.
If it works for your application to view the file using LabVIEW you can do this:
1) Place a unique key in each line that identifies an error.
2) Display the text in a Listbox and color each line based on that unique key.
You can fairly easily provide a stand alone viewer if needed.
This technique can also be expanded to provide multiple colors.

The only thing was that, if there was an Open-Source alternative, I would take it. I didn't know much about Linux other than that it ran EXTREMELY well as a server just as FreeBSD does. Once I finally took the time to google Linux, read about ditributions, open source and read blogs and read community comments etc.. I was like" I gotta be apart of this~!!" because XP was the shizz. How can I create a Text-Input Field in BexAnalyzer for a Planning Function
Hello,
i want to create a pre calculation(contribution accounting) for Materials in BI-Integrated Planning. These Materials aren't in the master data. So I create a new Info Object for pre calculated materials with only a material-number as key and a text-description.
Now I want to write a Exit-Function, which creates new materials in these Info Object. The user should start this function in a planning application in BexAnalyzer. There the user should have the possibility to enter a text-description for the new material. How can I create such a Text-Field in BexAnalyzer and how can I read this text filed in a planning function (exit).
Thanks in advanceHi Jürgen,
you can create a parameter for this in the exit function and a variable for the parameter. In BEx Analyzer then create a button for the planning function; in the button parameterization use VAR_NAME = , i.e. use an Excel formula here to get the value from an Excel input field.
The command range should be some 'hidden area' in your Excel sheet.
But may be you don't need this. Use a characteristic without master data. Then ensure that that the query uses the option 'key' as display. In new lines you can then enter the key, the system creates a SID on the fly (but the text table will not be updated). In this scenario you may take text also from the key. May be you can update the text table (online or in batch) by simply using function modules from function group RSNDI_MD (not released by SAP).
But observere that the system in BI Planning reads only the active version, i.e. if you change something on the fly the changes may not be visible.

How can I write into a table cell (row, column are given) in a databae?
How can I write into a table cell (row, column are given) in a database using LabVIEW Database Toolkit? I am using Ms Access. Suppose I have three columns in a table, I write 1st row of 1st column, then 1st row of 3rd column. The problem I am having is after writing the 1st row 1st column, the reference goes to second row and if I write into 3rd column, it goes to 2nd row 3rd column. Any suggestion?
Solved!
Go to Solution. When you do a SQL INSERT command, you create a new row. If you want to change an existing row, you have to use the UPDATE command (i.e. UPDATE tablename SET column = value WHERE some_column=some_value). The some_column could be the unique ID of each row, a date/time, etc.
I have no idea what function to use in the toolkit to execute a SQL command since I don't use the toolkit. I also don't understand why you just don't do a single INSERT. It would be much faster. -
How do I write a text below the Lower Third line, in Adobe Premiere Elements 12?
How do I write a text below the Lower Third line, in Adobe Premiere Elements 12?
Ruth Schreiber
To what Premiere Elements 12 title template (lower 3rd type) are you referring?
It is not clear what you want to do.
a. Are you able to double click the template to open it in the program's Titler?
b. Can you select the present text with the Selection Tool to move it to custom locations?
c. Can you edit the existing text in the template?
The following uses the Aquarium lower 3rd template...where do you want to write text in the template?
We will be looking forward to your follow up.
Thanks.

How can i make the text go vertically in numbers
How can I make the text vertical in numbers? I have merged the cells and cannot find an option for making it go vertical as opposed to horizontal.
I already gave two tools to fit this kind of needs.
tip #1 :
--{code}
--[SCRIPT write_vertically]
--=====
--=====
Save the script as a Script: write_vertically.scpt
Move the newly created file into the folder:
<startup Volume>:Users:<yourAccount>:Library:Scripts:Applications:Numbers:
Maybe you would have to create the folder Numbers and even the folder Applications by yourself.
In a cell, type a word to write vertically then select it.
CAUTION, don’t select the cell but the word which must be highlighted.
Go to the Scripts Menu, choose Numbers, then choose “write_vertically”
The script insert in the cell the word after inserting a return between every characters.
For my own use, I link a shortcut to the script thank to FastScripts.
--=====
The Finder’s Help explains:
To make the Script menu appear:
Open the AppleScript utility located in Applications/AppleScript.
Select the “Show Script Menu in menu bar” checkbox.
Under 10.6.x,
go to the General panel of AppleScript Editor’s Preferences dialog box
and check the “Show Script menu in menu bar” option.

How can I write bits through the COM1 serial port?
I'm trying to write bits through the serial port COM1.
Labview "Write VI" only writes everything in string. It seems. How can I write bit by bit through COM1?
Thank you,
VanSerial transmission (COM port) protocol requires sending a group of bits at one time. You cannot just send one bit. Standard COM port settings must be either 7 or 8 data bits, 1 or 2 stop bits, etc... You have to group your bits 7 or 8 at a time. You could probably send a 0 byte or a 1 byte. This would be like sending 0000 0000 for a low bit and 0000 0001 for a high bit. Your receiving end would have to know how to interpret what you are sending if you choose this method. Of course you have to convert your byte into a string before sending to COM port. Wire a U8 data type to a Build Array input. Then wire the array output to a Byte Array to String input. The output of this function will be the character representation of your byte suitable for sending acr
oss a serial port.

How can I write mathematical formulas?
How can I write mathematical formulas?
I tried tu use the formula editor of ms word with paste and copy but it didnt work, because the formula
was not in line with the text.I was able to use Word's equation editor; just type in the formula and copy it into the Pages document.
I've heard you can do the same thing with the equation bar in Grapher utility, but I haven't tried that.
Other options involve LaTeX, which is a typesetting program. I've looked at that but haven't really explored it. -
