my bb z10 is stuck after update.. it blicks red light in a pattern, 1 blink, then 3 then 2... i was hoping to install os thru bar file as i hv already tried using link, but phn is still stuck.. can i install on such a phn os thru bar file? if yes, then how??

How can I see my USB device in the measurement&automation explorer?

I'm trying to use an USB-device with LabView7.0.
I followed the manual "using NI-VISA3.0 to control your USB device" which I found on the NI-webpage.
I generated an .inf file using the VISA driver developement wizard and installed it in the INV folder of my system (I'm using Win2000).
The following problems occured: after I connect my USB device the "add new hardware wizard" pops up and aks for a driver for the new hardware. when I direct it to the folder with the generated .inf file it doesn't accept this file as a driver.
second: the USB device doesn't appear in the measurement&automation explorer. I assume that as long as my device doen't appear there it is not recognized by NI-VISA and the comm
unication from LV wouldn't work?
How can a make my USB device visible in the meas.&aut. explorer?

In the VISA Driver Development Wizard, you are required to specify the Vendor and Product ID. These numbers are what Windows will use to determine whether a specific driver is appropriate for a given device. If these numbers do not match between your device and the Windows driver (INF file) that you generate, you will see the behavior that you describe. Check to make sure that you are using the appropriate values. Also, did you right click on the INF file and install it as directed in step 2.2.2?
Page 5-87 of the VISA Programmer's reference manual specifies how to do a viOpen to a USB device in RAW mode, but you still need the same sorts of Product ID and Mfg ID that you needed for the INF file generation. Furthermore, if you are communicating with
your instrument directly, you will need to know exactly what command set it expects, so make sure you get that from the manufacturer as well. Finally, I want to mention that if this device complies with the USBTMC standard, then none of this is necessary--the steps above are for setting up a RAW USB connection.     Select "Library" from the dropdown.

    Empty Trash. Restart.
4. Delete old iOS Devices Backup.
    iTunes > Preferences > Devices
    Highlight the old Backups , press “Delete Backup” and then “OK”.

Welcome to the Community,
There are already many thread related to OS update you can search it in the Search box ,any to update an OS all you need is a PC or Laptop,an internet Connection and a USB cable.As you told you had already Downloaded and installed the OS in your PC you may continue from step 5 ( make sure it is not from any other Carrier then your's)
Before that take a backup of your device using desktop software.then follow the sequence :
1. On your Pc change your folders option to show hidden files/folders then On your PC or Laptop uninstall any previous OS packages ( remove any files related to RIM go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion : remove any Readme file also)uninstall your previous Desktop software Go to contol panel > uninstall programs > remove desktop software.
2 . Download the latest BB Desktop Software from here Blackberry Desktop Software
3.Locate your Carrier and Download the OS you desire from here and Install it in your PC or Laptop Carrier
If the OS that you are downloading is from your official carrier, skip step 4, if you got it from other carriersThen follow:
4.Search your C: drive for Vendor.xml and delete them, there may be one or two vendor.xml file :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
C:\Users\Windows UserName\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML
5. Go to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader. (For 64-bit Vista or Windows 7, the path will be C: > Program Files x86 > Common Files > Research In Motion > AppLoader) double click Loader.exe.
6. let the update complete.
If During the installation error "507" appear simply unplug the your Blackberry using USB cord and then re-insert it ,and the install will continue.

I have even been able to pair to the other device, but I don't see the option to send/copy/move files through Bluetooth.
I can only send my Address book via bluetooth.

Substitute, in the KB, the appropriate instructions for your other device in place of the KB section for the receiving device. Be aware that RIM only supports BT file transfer between BBs...with other devices is technically unsupported. But, it usually works, as long as the two devices are paired, trusted to each other, and each have all of the correct BT services enabled for the configuration of the other device.

Actually although the format on the TC is not NTFS but Mac HFS+, that is irrelevant as far as windows is concerned. The TC offers SMB protocol to the network.. so how the TC stores the files is totally irrelevant.
1. TC is by nature not particularly SMB happy..
Change all names, TC and wireless to SMB compatible. Short, no spaces, pure alphanumeric.
Turn on the guest account to read write access.. assuming you don't have security issues.
Set the workgroup correctly.. don't use wins server.. no body does nowadays.
Note short no space names.. guest access and workgroup all set.
2. Download and install airport utility for windows or just bonjour for windows.. bonjour should be included with the full uitlity but that is not necessary.
3. Just doing the above when bonjour loads it should bring up TC as accessible.. if not, or you need to access it manually.. open windows explorer and type in the address bar.
\\TCName or \\TCIPaddress .. obviously replacing the generic name with the actual one used. In my case. as per the above screen shot. \\TCGen3
You will then see the main root directory of the TC.. data or whatever it is named..
Create a new directory under the root directory for your windows files.. and copy them there.
Note .. some issues can arise if you are using the TC for TM backups.. Please keep a large enough amount of free space available that TM still works.. pondini recommends using disk images.

As long as you still have plenty of free space this is not an issue but TM may have issues when it fills the drive as it is designed to do.

How can I remove a tablet device that isn't there?

In one of our test environments we've got an Xserve running OSX 10.5.6, inside is running Server 10.5 in VMWare Fusion.
Now, the VM thinks it has a tablet device installed, as is evidenced by the ink tab showing up in system preferences (the host does not have the ink option there). Obviously there is no tablet device installed. The VM was set up by one of our IT guys who has already reinstalled it, noting no options during setup about a tablet device.
This problem is causing one piece of software to not work in the VM, or at least, the UI doesn't. There are thousands of console messages reading "QCocoaView handleTabletEvent: This tablet device is unknown (received no proximity event for it). Discarding event"
Question is, how can I remove the tablet device so that this software will start working? I've checked all through VMWare Fusion's options/preferences & couldn't find anything there and Googling has turned up nothing so far.

In the long run there is no way to access or uplood data on your device without iTunes unless you JailBrake....
