HOW CAN my organizer in elements 6.0 BE EMPTY?

My organizer displays none of my images, yet they are visible in windows explorer. So I tried 'get photos from folders' and after downloading the images there is this message 'the files already exist in the catalog'. If they exist in the catalog why are they not visible in the organizer? It seems to me that elements 6.0 is somehow corrupted. Earlier in the day I got warning messages 'Runtime error. This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way..............' and then another 'photoshop elements organizer.exe--application error, the exception unknown exception software occurred in the application at location Ox78138'........
Would it be advisagle to uninstall and then reinstall elements 6.0 and then perhaps the 'get photos from folders' will be successful????
I have a gazillion vacation images that need to be put into elements but I'm nervous about using what I have now.

I did a catalog repair, and after a few minutes was advised that there was a problem with the thumbnail cache and did I want it rebuilt (?). Not knowing anything else I had it 'rebuilt' and then there was a little flag in the lower left of the organizer window showing a rotating thumbnail. I spent an hour at the fitness center and returned to still see that rotating thumbnail.
I then ventured into the view>media type>photos and low and behold my pictures reappeared from their hiatus. However they seem to be loading rather slowly in the organizer. The hour glass shows for a few moments until the image appears. I can live with that as long as everything remains stable. I think I'll back up this catalog in case I have more problems with it. Is there anything else I can do to so that I can be taken off suicide watch?

When you installed version 10 did you convert your previous catalog?
If so, your projects should appear in the PSE10 Organizer. To search for them type PSESS into the search box.
You should then be able to open the project by double clicking on its thumbnail.
Then choose Output >> Edit in Premier Elements

You'll need to wait for all these things to come out to beta testing for that kind if detailed help. But at the moment it seems that you make the Albums in your Photos.app on the Mac or iOS device and these then turn up on the Library in the Cloud. I can see no way to create albums in a web browser, and iPhoto doesn't communicate with the Library.

You can't do this in PSE by itself. I'm assuming you have windows, so output your slideshow as a wmv file and then use Premiere Elements to finalize the disc, if you have that. If not, use whatever you do have (if you can burn DVDs, you have software). Even windows dvd maker will do this.

The D3200 requires at least ACR 7.1, which isn't compatible with any version of PSE prior to PSE 11, so no, you can't do this directly in PSE 9.
You could upgrade PSE, use the Nikon software to convert the files and then open the resulting images into PSE for further editing, or download the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your NEFs to DNG files that your version of PSE can understand.
