How can my wife and I use our two iTunes account on one iPad

How can my wife and I use our two iTunes accounts on one IPad

Unfortunately it will be difficult. iPads are personal devices like phones and done have credentials. You can of course log out of and into the app store to download purchased apps but the iPad will then have all the apps of both your wife and you (though you could put these into folders I guess).

    Hi theirmimi,
Go to Manage your Apple ID (on a computer) and sign in with your Apple ID. Then you can edit the email information on your account:

  • Can my wife I each use our personal itunes accounts at the store to buy apps or ibooks on "our", that is, the same ipad2?

Can my wife I each use our personal itunes accounts at the store to buy apps or ibooks on "our", that is, the same ipad2?

    Yes you can!
All you need is to log out from the App store and log with the Apple ID that you wish to use on buying apps or books from the stores.
Do note that if you have apps in the iPad purchase using two different Apple IDs, whenever there is an update you need to log into the appropriate Apple ID to install the update. Though the device will show you the apps that needed updates but it will only update when it is logged in to the Apple ID that has purchased the app. So what you need to do is to log in to the appropriate Apple ID get the update then log out and log in with the other Apple ID for the other updates if relevant.

can I have two different iTunes account on one iPad

No, not at the same time. You can use two different Apple ID/iTunes accounts on one iPad, but it is not advisable since you can lock yourself out of one of the ID's for 90 days if you download previously purchased content using the second ID.

  • How can my wife and I share our iTunes account?

My wife has an iTunes account as do I, but we are ideally trying to combine them so that we have a central iTunes library that we can both pull from. Is this possible?  We are on Windows Vista platform outside of our apple products.
We have 2 iPhones and several iPods.

  • How can my wife and I combine our iTunes?

My wife and I have been dragging our feet and have finally broke down and want to have one iTunes to manage both of our music and sync our iPhones with.  However, I cannot figure out how to do this, without one of us just giving up our music that we have purchased through iTunes.  Please help!

Copy all of your music to one computer. Authorize it for all your accounts.  Purchase using one account from here on out.

  • My wife and I have our own iTunes accounts can these be shared on the same Icloud

My wife and I have separate iTunes accounts. Can these both be on the same iCloud?

You can.  Your iCloud ID does not need to be the same as the ID used for iTunes.  However, just know that when you share an iCloud account, any data you sync with the account will be merged and you may (for example) end up with each other's contacts and calendars on your devices.  Also, any actions you take with this data on one device (such as adding or deleting a contact or calendar event), is also taken on the other devices sharing the account.  Finally, you will be sharing the same iCloud email account and free 5GB of storage.  Because of this, most people prefer to have separate accounts to keep their data separated.  (It's also still possible to share some data, sucn as calendars, while having separate accounts.)

  • How can my wife and I share music with different accounts

My wife is always downloading music.  I would like to add her music to my ipod/iphone etc.  We both have different itunes accounts but share one computer as different users.  Can someone please help me to figure this out?  I don't want to buy music multiple times.  Thank you.

  • Can my wife and i share the same itunes account on different iphones?

    Hello everyone,
My wife has had an iTunes account, Iphone, and Ipod for a while.  I just bought an Iphone and Ipod and would like to utilize her music library without messing up her phone or itunes account.  We'd like to maintain separate apps and stuff on our devices...so when I download music and apps, she doesn't want that showing up on her phone when she pairs it to her itunes account.  Can this be done?
I have heard that I need to create my own Apple ID, which I have...so I can download my own apps...but will I have access to her itunes music if I do that?
    Thanks!

  • HT1414 How can I unlock passcode on iPod touch when iTunes account is on ipad

My daughter has brand new iPod, I set up passcode and immediately forgot it after setting it up.  I set it up without using a computer as my iTunes account is on my iPad, is there anyway to unlock it?

Connect the iPod to the computer and restore via iTunes. If necessary, place the iPod inRecovery Mode to allow the restore.
A forgotton password is one of the uses that still requires a computer w/iTunes.

Using More than One iDevice on the Same Computer
This applies mainly to couples who are adding another device and do not want their email, messages, etc. being duplicated on both devices. To begin read: How to use multiple iPhone, iPad, or iPod devices with one computer. You need to establish a separate Apple ID and password for whomever will use the new iDevice. See Apple - My Apple ID and Frequently asked questions about Apple ID. The easiest way is to do this on the computer using iTunes: iTunes- How to set up an Apple ID within iTunes.
On the computer create a new user account for the person with the new iDevice. This will be the user account that person will always use. He/She will no longer use the other user account. This way that person will have a separate iTunes Library
Start by transferring the new device(s) to a new account along with all your data.  Save any photo stream photos that you want to keep to your camera roll (unless they are already in the camera roll) by opening your Photos app, tap on Albums icon at the bottom. Now, tap on My Photo Stream album; tap Select; tap on the photos you want to select;, tap the share icon (box with upward facing arrow) in the lower left corner; then tap Save to Camera Roll.
If you are syncing notes with iCloud that you want to keep then you need to open each of your notes and email them to yourself. Later you can copy and paste the text into new notes created in your new account.
Tap on Settings > iCloud > Delete Account (only deletes it from this device, not from iCloud; the person keeping the current account will not be affected,) provide the password to turn off Find My Phone and choose Keep on My iDevice when prompted.  Sign in with a different Apple ID to create your new account. Choose Merge to upload your data.
Once you are on separate accounts, you can each go to icloud.com and delete the other person's data from your account.
Note: The essence of the above was created by user, randers4. I
have made substantial changes to improve readability and syntax.

How can my wife and I be friends in game center if we use the same Itunes account?

You can set up multiple accounts in Game Centre, sign out and create new account. You just need a different email address from any existing Apple ID's and a new password. You can still use the old account for purchases.

  • How do my wife and i use the same ipad?

How do my wife and i use the same ipad?

Nothing keeps you from handing it "back and forth" to share. I do this all the time on our couch with my Wife's iPad...
I think your quesiton revolves around having your own bookmarks and other data/info on the device.
The iPad is meant to be a "single user device"; there isn't a login/logout to differenciate one user from another.  "The iPad isn't a computer"..  ;-)
But, that being said, there are lots of ways to share the iPad/iOS environment.  Many apps, such as Facebook, let you login and out..  so, while you share the same app, each of your login is different.
For bookmarks and notepad it is a little trickier..  You can each use a different browser (so all of your bookmarks are complerety seperate.)
In some cases I would sugest a couple get a $900 Macbook Air rather than an iPad if this sharing won't work.  "Why can't I log in and out of and iPad?".  I think that the fact that it doesn't gives the iPad many adantages over a computer.
If you have more specific questions pleaser ask away.  Just like you share the kitchen table and many other things around your household, there are many ways to make this work!  ;-)
