How can restaure my iphone without a computer

AS said in the question, it's been several years I am using my iphone (3GS and currently 4S) without a computer. I can sync through iCloud, yet my question is can I restaure my device if the procedure requires that step ?
Thanks

You'd use iCloud:

  • How can I control iPhone without touchscreen?

I want to control the iPhone without using the touchscreen. Specifically, I want a custom app to receive simple commands through pushing of  3 or 4 external buttons.  I understand this can be done through the dock pins 12 and 13.  I think I would need a microcontroller that would then send input to the app.  I just dont understand the technical issues or possiblities with this approach.
Another idea is to use bluetooth connectivity.  Once again, 3 or 4 buttons sending 3 or 4 differnet commands to the app.  I just want to be able to scroll through options in the app or change a few settings.   Once again, not sure of the technical issues or possiblites with sending input to apps via bluetooth.
For example, my app is a stopwatch.  I want one button to start the timer, once button to record laps, one button to scroll through specifics of each lap once completed, and one button to stop the timer.
I also need to understand if I can disable the screen lock so I can avoid the SLIDE TO UNLOCK since I wont be able to access the touchscreen.
I think I will need to jailbreak the phone or work with Apple on hardware accessiblity but I'm just trying to figure out how to accomplish this.

I also need to understand if I can disable the screen lock so I can avoid the SLIDE TO UNLOCK since I wont be able to access the touchscreen.

  • How can i active iphone without previose owner

i bout a iphone from some guy & i cant actived it without previose owner . i called previouse owner she dosent want to deactived it from her account . how can i work around it?

Unfortunately, you cannot do very much with your phone unless you get assistance from the previous owner, they should either provide you with the password to unlock it or remove their account from the phone entirely remotely through iCloud.com > Find My Phone.
if the previous owner is refusing because the phone was stolen from her you must give it back, they will have seen where you are located, handing it back may be the end of the matter for you, not doing so may cause you to be liable for handling stolen property.
If there is some other reason she won't remove her ID, you should ask her.

  • HT201269 I'm trying to transfer information from my i Pod to my iPad how can I do it without a computer

I'm trying to transfer music from my ipod to my iPad how do I do it without a computer

There is an iOS app that lets you bluetooth transfer files between iOS devices without Wifi. It's called MobileGo for iOS.
I was looking for an iOS app to bluetooth transfer Pages files and PDFs from a non-cellular iPad 3 to an iPhone 5. Basically, I want to write a document on my iPad, transfer it via bluetooth to my iPhone, and email it to my editor--all without using Wifi.
Seems simple, but it's actually hard to find an iOS app that does it
-Bump is cool, but it wouldn't work because it requires a Wifi or cellular connection for both devices.
-MobileGo will do the trick. You need to download MobileGo on both devices, and the transfer isn't as simple as Bump, but it did work for me.
    Here's the MobileGo transfer process
    On your iPad
    -Open document in Pages
    -Share document to File Manager
    -Share document via Bluetooth
    On your iPhone
    -Open it
-Go to Transfers screen, press "Receive" to download file
    -Open file in MobileGo
    -Share file to Pages
-Share file in Pages via email, convert to Word
    -Email file to recipient

  • Can I use iPhone without a computer?

So I have a mac with 10.3.9 which doesn't support iphone (10.4.x onwards only i believe) - If I get an iphone can I use the phone function, wi-fi for mail and internet etc without connecting it to a computer at all? I DL'd the manual and it tells you as one of the first steps to connect to your computer via USB and register it. Is this essential? To use the phone in any way at all do you have to register it?
I'm happy to go to a friend's house with a compatible mac eventually and load some mp3s and videos or whatever on to it but would like to know if I can just use the thing as a phone first without needing a computer at all.

    Oh man.
Yes I own a powerbook. My reasons for not being able to use it are... I use Avid editing software on it. If I upgrade to the latest version of OS X, or even an earlier one like 10.4.x then I will have to upgrade my Avid - that costs money that I don't have. It works well on my 10.3.9 and I've been happy with this. Until now it seems.
In order for you guys to be helpful to me here we'll all have to pretend that we aren't proud nerds that secretly wish we could control our cars from our phones (this includes me so don't be offended).
Pretend for a second that the iPhone isn't the best thing since sliced bread and can do almost anything and pretend that some people might be happy setting it up and just using it without updating it's software all the time and just treating it like they've treated all their other phones - as a phone.
You all have answered me like I should know better than to suggest I might try to keep my iPhone use simple. I bet Apple themselves aren't comfortable with anyone suggesting that the iPhone needs to suckle at the teat of a computer every day just to keep working! If that really was the case then surely this phone would unusable for any extended trips away from home - going on holiday for a week to Brazil would be out because your iPhone can't survive without being synced! Come on!
All I want is to set it up and use it unaided. Is this possible in the first instance, straight out of the box with no computer.

  • HT4623 I have a iPad I want to update it to ios5 . How can I do that without a computer

I have a iPad 2. It's Wifi and 3G. I need to update the software to the new IOS 5.  I don' t have another computer. So can you tell how to update my software

You cannot perform OTA (over the air) updates until you manually update the iPad to iOS 5.x.x using a PC.

  • How can i activate iPhone without apple id ? It is used iphone 5 , ios 7 , no other information. May be i can do something with developer account ? another way?

It is used iphone 5 , ios 7 , no other information. May be i can do something with developer account ? another way?

That's the entire point of the update. To prevent unauthorized activation of an iPhone. To discourage Theft.
If there was a way around it, it would defeat its purpose.
The only way to get past that is to contact the original owner and ask that they remove the lock with their Apple ID.

  • Ive had my iphone 3 for 3 months,I have not connected my phone to upload from the computer yet, soemone told me I will loose everything in my phone. How can I do this without loosing all my stuff?

I have had my iphone 3gs for 3 mths., I have not connected it to my computer to creat a apple id and upload, somebody told me u have to do this right when u get your phone or you will loose everything in your phone. I don't want to loose all my #'s, pictures, texts, etc.
How can I do this without loosing everything?
    Thanks

They told you incorrectly, although it is not a good idea to rely on the device as a single point of storage.
You must have an Apple ID to purchase content via iTunes, simply log in with that ID in iTunes.  Then connect the device and sync it.  For detailed instructions, read the manual which is available online or on the device.

  • How can I sincronize an Ipad and an Iphone without a computer?

How can I sincronize an Ipad and an Iphone without a computer?

Can you sync content from one device to the other device without a computer, no you can't in the sense that you are thinking.
If you are using iCloud, you can use automatic downloads to keep purchased apps, songs and books in sync and you can also sync documents (with some apps) contacts, calendars, and notes.

  • I just bought a new computer, how can I start syncing with this computer without erasing everything already on my iphone?

I just bought a new computer, how can I start syncing with this computer without erasing everything already on my iphone?
Everytime I try to use the option sync manual it wants me to erase everything.
    Please help

The iPhone can be synced to one and only one computer at a time. Before you "marry" it to your new computer, be sure your new computer contains all the old computer's information. When you sync the iPhone to a new computer, it will be erased first. Then, whatever is on your iTunes Library will be synced to the iPhone.
Read: iTunes: How to move your music to a new computer
You can also copy its previous backup from the old computer to the new one, then "restore from backup".
    From iTunes: About iOS backups
Where iTunes backups are stored on your computer
The folder where your backup data are stored varies depending on the computer's operating system. Make sure the backup folder is included in your periodic data-backup routine.
iTunes places the backup files in the following places:
    Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
    Windows XP: \Documents and Settings\(username)\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: To quickly access the Application Data folder, click Start, and choose Run. Type %appdata% and click OK.
    Windows Vista and Windows 7: \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\
Note: To quickly access the AppData folder, click Start. In the search bar, type %appdata% and press the Return key.

  • How can i download music from my computer to my ipod nano without erasing music already there?

how can i download music from my computer to my ipod nano without erasing music already there?

If the music you are wanting to have on your iphone was purchased through itunes you can then go to your front display to settings>itunes and app store from there you have a toggled switch that allows you to automatically download music and apps by toggling the switch. You will need to toggle the switch below these switchs that allows for cellular data to be enabled if this has not already been enabled. This then will automatically download music and apps directly to your device with no additional charge to you.
    Good luck.

  • How can i transfer videos without losing the sound to my iPhone 3G?

    Hi
I have bought my iPhone 3G yesterday. I have found out how to transfer music from iTunes however i can't transfer videos. I'm selecting the videos i want to transfer on the videos tab after i chose my iphone from the side menu and pressing apply. iTunes says that its syncing my iphone but it doesnt transfer the videos.
Lately i have found out a function on the advanced menu for movies as "create iphone or ipod version". When i used that it transfered that video to my iPhone however the sound was completely lost besides that action takes too much time(around 10 mins for a 3 min video and i have a pretty strong computer).
How can i transfer videos without losing the sound to my iPhone 3G?

One thing I'd recommend is that you make sure the video/audio you're trying to transfer falls within the guidelines listed in the 'Video' section here:
    http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html
What's most likely happening is that the file is not converted as such so when you try to transfer it, it's wanting to convert it but is unable to for any number of reasons.
There's software out there that might make this easier for you but I can't recommend anything specifically.
