How can serial port take over the control when ethernet is fail in my system

I am developing communication between Controller(cFP2101), Computer( having XP and Lab view 8.5) & IO rack (1808). I have all things on ethernet and also on serial communication too. I want to switch from one mode of communication to other mode when there is falt on any one network.
For Example:
my Ethernet cable is failed then I want to shift all my communication on serial communication and vice versa.

My father has a new notebook running Vista. I have a new Macbook Pro running Leopard.

Eric, in reading the posts, it seems you are familiar with Mactopia's RDT. I can connect to my work PC via RDT 1.0.3, but the connection doesn't hold whether I'm directly connected to my router or using Airport. If I bring a work PC laptop home, I can remote connect to my work PC using Microsoft Windows RDT on the laptop with no problems.
Do you know if there is something I need to do via preferences with my VPN and Mactopia RDT on my PowerBook to maintain a good connection to my work PC? I've tried to find support or discussions on this at the Mactopia site (nothing remotely relevant) and I only some meaningful discussion here via your comments to Curious George's questions.
Any hints you could give for a better Mactopia RTC connection to my work PC using my PowerBook is appreciated.

How can I configure one of the gateway NI9792 Ethernet port to communicate with a cRIO PAC ?

Hi NI Engineers,
I intend to use my gateway NI9792 the following way:
1. One Ethernet port for network connection. That's how I'll develop it, download software and monitor my application through my PC at my desk.
2. Can the other port be used to communicate with a cRIO device? If so, how can I do it?
It seems to be a stupid question, but I truly could not work this out!

How can I turn off over the air sync settings on my Mac iPhone

For some reason I am attempting to sync my iPhone with my laptop as usual but now in the iTunes app when I attach my iPhone and go to Info, it reads: Your contacts are being synced with your iPhone over the air from MobileMe. Over the air sync settings can be changed on your iPhone. So here is the thing, I have looked online and have found nothing at all to show me how to do this on my iPhone. I want to be able to add info on my iPhone and then connect it with my laptop and sync it immediately with my laptop and also to add info on my laptop and immediately sync it with my iPhone. On your iPhone go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars. Then select your MobileMe account. Turn off the items you don't want synced over the air.

Second DC doesn`t take over the control, outlooks started to ask password.

-I had Windows 2012 Server as DC.
-I have installed 2012 R2 as second DC
-I`ve AD integrated DNS
-Both DCs are DNS
-When I click "Operations masters" I see only PDC in both section.
The problem is that when I turned off the PDC yesterday, the new one didn`t take over. The Outlooks were giving authentication errors.
When I click change DC to transfer roles, it showing version as "unknown" for new server with R2. I didn`t try to transfer but it may fail, too.

Thank you for the answer, I changed the primary DNS to themselves even though it stated it should be other server on most of the forums and blogs!!!. DCDIAG result showed below error. I realized that there is single entry on DNS on both servers other
Domain.loc\_msdcs with win-m8rqcvgm1th.mydomain.loc., I removed that and both server passed the test. I`ll test if it is successful. But nslookup still shows Default Server: UnKnown / Address: 192.168.144.4

How can you change all of the control codes from one number to another?

I'm trying to use CC11 for Dynamic Expression Control, rather than just runing the volume CC7 all the time. My problem is that I would like to do a large select of say all CC codes that are 7 and move them to be 11 rather than do it one event at a time. Is there a technique for this?

The Samplecontruct's recommendation is right and probably conformable if you want to process one or a few midi region(s) containing CC7.
In addition, if have multiple midi regions on a track and want to process in one step then the Transform window is recommended. I.e you select that track (which will select all regions), open the Transform and create the custom template I show in the pic below). Hit the "Select and Operate" (4) button which will select the matching contend (CC7) internally of the track selected regions and operate in one step. This saves time if you must select 50-60 regions and change their CC# using the Event list technique for instance.

Double click on the clip to load it into the Viewer. Click on the MOTION TAB. Look down at the CROP options....crop to your hearts content.

How can we send status to the LMS other than pass/fail, complete/incomplete?

We have a Captivate module generated as SCORM 1.2 which passes Complete/Incomplete to the LMS. The quiz is at the end of the module - if the user exits the module prior to attempting the quiz, we would like to send 'Not Evaluated' back to the LMS rather than Incomplete (which happens today).
Module is developed using Captivate 7.0.1
Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

The netflix app on iPad is great, and the easiest way to browse movies, and pushing them to the apple TV is fantastic, but once the movie starts, I want to use my iPad for other things!!! Can this be put on the "to do" list for devs?

Have you tried the Remote app on iPhone/iPad to control AppleTV, do searches etc? Should be easier than the remote alone and this does not involve Airplay.
Please note, only users read/comment here - your idea is quite sensible in my view (maybe have a 'Continue viewing on AppleTV' option or something. I doubt this would be high on Apple's roadmap but send them feedback here:

FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTunes (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port.
DO NOT RELEASE BUTTON until you see picture of iTunes and plug
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTunes has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTunes.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...
Note:
1. Data will be lost if you do not have backup
2. You must follow step 1 to step 4 VERY CLOSELY.
3. Repeat the process if necessary.

Can you please expand on your issue? As far as I can see all the previous functions of 11 are in 12 albeit shown differently. Using get info to edit date is still possible, again it looks and feels different.

The only way you can do this by installing the PSE on your new machine using the DVD and the serial number you must have bought. Once this is done, you might want to copy all your photos from the old machine on to a flash drive and then copy them from flash drive to your Pictures folder and let PSE finds them and catalogs them automatically.
This method is ideal if your haven't created very sophisticated catalog in your old machine because you may also want to transfer the old catalog on to your new PC so that you don't have to re-create the catalog from scratch. If you want to transfer the catalog as well then on your old PC launch PSE Organizer and go to:
File >> Backup Catalog
This is also saved on the removable flash drive
Now go to the new PC and launch Organizer and do almost the same thing except:
File >> Restore Catalog
Now this should almost get you started.
