  • How can I remotely disable iMessage on ipad without having to remove from Apple ID

When I moved to the USA I purchased an iPad for my parents who are very technologically challenged so I have them connected to my Apple ID.
Recently my husband and I have been getting a recurring notification that they have signed into iMessage using one of our phone numbers. I have called them and talked them through how to turn it off but somehow they keep turning it back on.
It is at the point I feel like I cant speak freely in text messages because at any point they could be watching.
I have looked under devices and their iPad is not showing up for some reason.
Basically I would like to permanently delete iMessage from their iPad but I do not have physical access to the iPad.
    Please help!!!

IMAP is the mail protocol that allows you to delete a message one place and have it delete everywhere else. iCloud uses IMAP, so it should be working. If the messages never delete, then something may be incorrect in the settings. The easiest thing to do with iCloud is to logout of the account on every device, and then login again. (Another common problem with iCloud email is people often have two Apple IDs, and thus may have two iCloud email accounts. If you get confused about which one you're using, you may think you've deleted email when you actually haven't.)
If the iCloud messages do ultimately delete across all devices, then it could be that some devices aren't set to "Push" but are instead set to "Fetch" the newest info from the server. Fetch can be set to as long as an hour between check-ins.
The same holds true for Windstream if she's using an IMAP account there, too. If it's a POP account, then deleting a message one place will never delete it anywhere else—that's the way POP works.

How to sign out from Yahoomail in Ipad?

How do you mean? the yahoo app? or accessing via safari? or using the mail app?
Using the mail app there is no way to sign out of mail accounts. The presumption is that the iPad is a single user device, so no need to sign out.

How can I completely remove iMessage from a iPad (generation 2)?  I know how to turn off iMessage on the iPad but I don't want this iPad to know my iPhone number at all.  Thanks.

You can't. Default Apple Apps cannot be removed. If you sign out of your Apple Id in Settings->Messages->Send & Receive->Apple ID then the iPad will have no knowledge of your Phone number.

  • Why can't i sign in to imessage on ipad with my current apple id?

Why can't I sign in to imessage with my current and accurate apple id?

Try this and see what happens. Quit the App Store, Sign out of your account completely, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the recents tray will appear with all of your recent apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try again.

  • How sign out of Skype on iPad (IOS 8)?

I cannot figure out how to sign out of Skype (or sign in with a different account) on my iPad. The old profile page had the option, but the updated Skype (there is no indication of any version number on the iPad, or none I can find) doesn't seem to have it.
Please don't tell me I have to to shut down and reboot !

Go to Settings > iTunes & App Stores > Tap your Old Apple ID > Tap Sign out.

  • How Do I Sign Out Of iMessage on My MacBook Pro?

I have a MacBook Pro and my dad has an iPhone. We are both connceted to the same iMessage account therefore he gets my iMessages. I made a new iTunes acount. Could anyone please tell me how to sign out of my dad's account and sign into mine... on the MacBook Pro that doesn't have iMessage in the settings. I'm not sure which update it is.
It would mean a lot, THANK YOU.

    This worked for me:
    1. Open up Messages (make it the active window)
    2. Hit command-comma (for the preferences)
    3. Navigate to the accounts tab, and select the account you want to log out.
    4. Hit the button that says Sign Out, or if you're not on the latest update of OSX, hit the big central button with account details on it.
    5. Hit the Sign Out button, then quit the program.
    Hope this helps!
the guy above said this and it worked for me!

  • How can I view the iMessages that were sent to me while I was out of the country?

How can I view the iMessages that were sent to me while I was out of the country? They never loaded, but people have told me that they sent me many iMessages while I was gone.
I figured they would load when I turned on my cellular data, but only my text messages loaded. I would like to see the iMessages I missed because I believe some of them were fairly important.
I would really appreciate somebody's help!

As far as I understand with this, iMessage works the same as regular txts. The iMessages are held on the messaging server for 72hrs if it's not picked up by then it expires. So those that you didn't get you will never get. Sorry.

  • How do i sign out of imessage/facetime on my ipod 4th gen

i would like to sign out of my imessage/facetime on my ipod 4th gen as i have a new one 5th gen and its not letting me log in on it as im still loged in on the 4th gen,

    Hi poppetfloaty16,
To sign out of iMessage and Facetime, open the Settings app. Open the 'Messages' tab. At the top, you should see a toggle-switch for iMessage. If it shows iMessage as enabled, tap the toggle-switch to disable it. This should sign out of it.
Next, open the Facetime tab, and do the same.
    Hope this helps!
    Regards, Seth

  • HT2534 When I try to set up an Apple ID, it's asking for a credit card, and there is no "None" option, like this page suggests. How can I bypass this? This iPad is for a younger child who has no credit card, and will not need to make any purchases.

You can create an iTune and App Store account without credit card details
    1. Sign out of current Apple ID if you are sign-in to one (important)
    2. Go to App Store and select a free app
    3. Tap INSTALL APP
    4. Create New Apple ID
    5. Confirm Your Country
    6. Agree with Terms and Conditions
    7. Fill in your Apple ID and Password (you must create a new Apple ID; don't use your old Apple ID)
    8. Create and answer your secret question
    9. Select NONE for Payment Method
    10. Fill in Billing Address
    11. Submit application for new Apple ID
    12. Wait for verification email
    13. When email arrive, verify your account
    14. Start downloading your free apps

when i sign out of imessage, and then sign back in, all the messages i received during my time away, are not there instantly after i sign back in. help?

    hi,
Mac, iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch ?
    Do they appear eventually ?
The iMessages are "pushed" to the devices which means there can be small delays between the server recognising the device went Off Line and coming back.
