How can sony claim to not have a comparable replacement for an mp3 player???
I purchased an 8GB mp3 player about 1.5 months ago with my sony rewards points and it was on sale for ~$52. The product turned out to be a complete dud so I returned it and was told it would be replaced since it's under warranty. Now customer service calls to say they don't have a comparable product to replace it with and want to send me a check for $52. How can Sony claim to not be able to replace an 8GB mp3 player?? Ridiculous. It's right there on the website. The product is no longer on sale so I can't go buy a replacement with the $52. Why is Sony trying to weasel out of replacing the product??

Hi - I currently have
total broadband option 3, which costs £26.99 per month
unlimited anytime calls which costs £19.28 per month
total monthly fixed costs £46.27 per month
I made 68 free calls, duration 7 hrs 59 mins
I have no idea how much internet usage was and don't know how to find that out
This seems an expensive way to get free calls and broadband - and on top of that I have sky TV and vodafone mobile costs to pay each month.
Is there a better configuration or plan that I should consider?

I just unwrapped my new iMac just being delivered by UPS and after removing all the wrapping I noticed deep scratches on the aluminium front and a big dent on the metal frame surrounding the screen. Obvioulsy it fell in the Apple assembly process or a heavy thing fell on it. I am so crossed as it took already 7 days to arrive and I now need to spend time trying to get it replaced one way or another, I believe this will take weeks before I get a replacement iMac and I am not sure in which state this new one will arrive. Very frustrating experience. I am hesitating to cancel the whole thing.
IF you bought it from apple, you can bring it back to apple for a full refund or exchange. You can also call apple support to request for a mail-in box so you can return the item. if on the other hand it is an apple authorize reseller, kindly contact them for exchange/refund. They will give you an option on whether they will give you a label to help you send back the item to them or take it to the store.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

If you bought them on your iPad then you will need to connect your iPad to your computer's iTunes and do File > Devices > Transfer Purchases to copy them over to the Tones part of your computer's iTunes library and you can then sync them to your iPhone - ringtones are a one-time only download, so you won't be able to redownload them directly on your phone.

A belated reply, as the problems itunes has have discouraged me from using it much. If you uncheck the "read only" box, it doesn't stay that way! Next time you use it, the box comes up checked.
I'm still having that problem, even when I open iTunes as administrator.
I've yet to see the answer to this problem. I use itunes mostly to download audiobooks, and I'm ready to download more, and want to save them! -
