I don't get it but why is Verizon even selling 4g service when they only have released one 4g phone...the HTC Thunderbolt so far? I think they jumped the gun on wanting to be a provider but not having the goods to do so.

IMHO, This here is not a place for disgruntled customers - it's for customers who want to help each other with genuine technical and Verizon policy issues. These issues are best addressed in a constructive, civil manner. The final redress for any individual vs. a mega-corporation is a,. not doing biz with them, b. filing a complaint with the relevant federal, state or local regulatory agency. And of course, via the press or an independent website.
Now, onto the question, there's no reason to push the limts of technology on a device with a tiny screen and limited silicon horsepower. Watching HD video on a 3" screen with earbuds, is not my idea of a good time. And how fast to I need to download two minute mp3's. For on-the-go business people, fast mobile , wireless connectivity is a great tool. Wi-fi is not a true mobile technology - it's wireless in your living room. At least I ranted in lower case. albeit a long-winded rant.

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

How many different devices (DVD player, cable box, etc.) do you have besides the Apple TV to connect to your TV? If you aren't going to use any of these others, you won't need a switcher.
Also, depending on the device & what other kinds of inputs your TV might have, you may be able to hook them up to other inputs besides your only HDMI one. The quality might be lower for them, & you might have to use several cables for sound & video, but that might end up being acceptable if you use your ATV much more often than the others.

How can I keep a playlist on phone when syncing with new computer?

When syncing my IPhone I am prompted with an ominous message that says "Are you sure you want to remove the existing music ... from this phone and sync with this ITunes library? Music .... will be removed and items will be synced from this ITunes library" The answer is no because I have a playlist I would like to keep on the phone, but add one which resides on the computer I am attempting to sync with. That is not an choice presented, the choices are Cancel or Remove and Sync. Apple should either give more options or at least a better explanation. I have synced this phone and computer combination before but have since created a new playlist in the computer (a Mac Mini).
So how can I keep a playlist on the phone and add one from the computer too? Is it possible to view the phone as a drive and move items around in that manner? I use ITunes on both Windows and Mac platforms but this issue has always been problem for me. I also have IPhone 3 (used as an IPod), IPhone 4S and Iphone 5.

Unless you can get the iPod backup file (and restore the iPod from that file on your new computer) from the "dead" computer you will lose all the app data you can export via email.

How can Verizon bill me for a phone I return and have FedEx proof it was received

Bought a new phone in Verizon store, camera didn't work. Verizon sent new phone with prepaid shipping to return broken phone. I sent phone in via FedEx, FedEx has a signed receipt from Verizon that it was received at their warehouse on July 18th. Verizon is now trying to charge me for the phone. At first they said they had no record of receiving the phone, then when I supplied them with the FedEx tracking info they admitted to receiving the phone but said THEY couldn't find it. I have all of this on emails form Verizon. Then they said they had to do an investigation to locate the phone and now they say that the box is empty. They offered me a payment plan. I emailed, I called the customer service center and a woman by the name of Samantha promised me a call by Tues. I have not heard back from her. I called the customer service center back and was told they would get back to me. My local store rep told me that there's nothing they can do and the manager from that store has yet to return my call. I think I need a lawyer because this is truly extortion. I have a very good long standing business relationship with Verizon, never late with my payments and this is how I am treated. It's simply ridiculous. Fed Ex told me that the package is insured by them so Verizon will get reimbursement from them, interesting right? So it seems as though Verizon wants to be paid twice for a broken phone. I am not responsible for them losing my phone. I'm hitting Twitter next. Then the BBB. I have attached letter from Verizon to establish credibility.

There are hundreds of posts on this particular subject. Had it happen to me except I had a little different proof that my phone was in the box. I sent it using my own label which forces FedEx to weigh the package once it is in their possession. Verizon first claimed my package was not returned, then after I provided proof they claimed the box was empty, then after I provided proof it was not they claimed it was the incorrect phone, after I proved them incorrect on that claim they said it was received too late. I was able to prove that one wrong as well but could not get Verizon to credit my account back until I files a complaint with the BBB and the FTC. Once they got the complaint they tried all of the other things first, then finally claimed the phone was entered manually and it had the incorrect date associated to it. It took 3 months to get them to credit the funds back to me and over 75 phone calls.

How can I dial a Unity subscriber extension when they don't have an assigned IP phone?

I have set up our warehouse staff to share centrally placed IP phones by setting them up in Exchange and as a Unity subscriber and then configured the Call Transfer page to ring the extension of the phone closest to where they work in the warehouse. This works great except you have to go through auto attendant to dial their assigned extension to have it ring where it would be desirable to be able to look them up in the Corporate Directory and dial, but if I do that, it just goes to their voicemail. Is there a way around this?

You could set up a dummy phone record for each user and then use the Call Forward All or Call Forward Unregistered field(s) to forward calls to the phone closest to where they work in the warehouse (just like you have in Unity for transfers). Then if you look the user up in the directory and dial them, the call forward would take effect.

How can I get my music files back when they are no longer on the computer?

So the problem I am having is that I cannot play songs on the playlist because "the file cannot be located" error. I checked the iTunes media folder and they weren't there. I searched my whole computer and they still could not be found.
The story behind the problem is that I pretty sure all the songs I am having troubles with were ones I purchased on my iPod Touch itself. Several months ago when I plugged my iPod into the computer so it could sync ( my iPod is old and can't connect to the WiFi anymore forcing me to buy songs on my computer again.) The songs purchased on my iPod showed up on my playlist on my computer but they had the "!" next to them and they were no longer on my iPod and when I tried to get them back on I got the "cannot be located" error. I then checked the iTunes music folder again and the only songs there were songs I purchased on my computer.
I am extremely frustrated. When I go to the iTunes store under "Purchases" they all show up however there is no way for me to download them again onto my computer because the "download" button cannot be clicked on because I am assuming it thinks the songs are already on the computer, but I know they aren't. I tried organizing my songs option and that didn't do anything.
Is there any way to download them again? Or at least tell the iTunes store that they aren't located on my computer anymore so I can download them again?

Just a note of encouragement - I doubt very much you've lost your music - they remember what you've purchased forever and as long as the content is still on the iTunes store you should never loose anything (however sometimes content is removed from the store for various reasons and in that cause if you don't have a local copy on your iTunes library it is not recoverable - but that issue is relatively infrequent) - it's just a question of why iTunes won't let you download it again. good luck...

I started downloading an episode from itunes. before it was fully downladed, I accidentally stopped the download. The video does not exist in my videos, but icloud seems to think so. Can you add people to a team if they only need one program (InDesign)?

We have the Creative Cloud for Teams and would like to add a member but he only uses INDD. I know we can purchase INDD separately but I didn't know if he could be added to our team.

If you have enough open invitations left, this doesn't matter. Nobody is forced to install programs he doesn't use. The rest I would consider irrelevant - buying a single app team license and contacting the sales team just for 1 person? Makes no sense to me.

At the present time, the only way to clear that is to restore the phone as new. Perhaps a future iOS update will give us the option to clear that cache.
