    }The problem with even attempting to do this is that with today's browser capabilities, users can optionally choose to jump to a particular page in the browser history and this may not necessarily be the most recent page. In this case, you would also want to invalidate the user's session after already having been there (whatever page that may be). Then you have situations when the user may wish to jump back in history to external pages they were visiting before they reached your own site's pages. Then what happens when they start clicking forward, forward, etc... from there? This is why I prefer writing Swing Clients as alternatives to browser applications. There are soo many possible ways break web applications made for standard web browsers both maliciously and simply by accident or irregular user patterns. Regardless, this servlet would work based on the assumption that all the user(s) would "ever" do aside from moving logically forward is clicking on the browser's "back" button.
    cheers!

  • Weird thing about when user click Update button

    Hi,
    I got a very weird thing when i want to add some my code in button "1" on click event. I use below code to capture the on click event when user click "Update" button, so i can do some tasks(assign some fix value to a specific field). I found i can capture the event only once. Once the document is updated and i open second recordl then my code is never exexuted then. No error, no exception. Is anyone know what happen?
    Thanks,
    Lan

    Hi All,
    Yes, you are right. After i use try block, i can see the error. I thought I should be expected an red exception alert in the B1 info bar.
    Thank you !

  • How to show an dropdown menu when user click on one point on lineseries?

    Hi all,
    I am new  in flex development.
    I am showing line series on the chart, I'd like to give some interaction, when user click on the "point" on the line, I'd like to show a dropdown menu, and react to user's choice on the menu item.
    Is it doable? Any sample or reference?
    Thanks in advance.
    /// Jack

    Cool, that definitely moving forward.
    I saw two questions here:
    1. I added mouseOver/mouseOut action to the LineSeries, it then react when I mouse over the line, instead of at the data point.
    2. How do I know the dataPoint's position and locate popmenu in that place? on other words, how do I have dropdown menu. I tried to use "this" as DisplayObjectContainer and send to Menu.createMenu, but seems not working.
    Here is the code pieces I am talking about:
    [Bindable]public var myMenu:Menu;
                // Create and display the Menu control.
                private function createAndShow():void {
                    Menu.
                    myMenu = Menu.createMenu(holder, myMenuData, true);
                    myMenu = Menu.createMenu(null, myMenuData, false);
                    myMenu.labelField="@label";
                    myMenu.show(10, 10);
                private function hideMenu():void {
                    myMenu.hide();
    <mx:series>
                        <mx:LineSeries mouseOver="createAndShow()" mouseOut="hideMenu()" sortOnXField="true"  xField="date1" yField="score1"  displayName="Score1">

  • Adding a textfield when user click a button

    Hi,
    I have a scenior where i am trying to allow users to enter different types of contact details (phone number, office number etc)and wanted a user to click on a button (add more contact details) then a drop down box and textfeild would show up to allow them to enter those details.
    How can this be done?? are there any alternative way of doing it??
    Thanks
    Venus

    There are several way to do this:
    http://htmldb.oracle.com/pls/otn/f?p=11933:5
    This page is showing a lot of javascript functions you may use to do what you want. However, the most simple way is to make the items hidden by default and to show them conditionally after pressing a button - the button would set a value of an item to whatever you want, submit the page and the the items would show up, allowing your user to enter additional data.

  • How can I have popup text when user types something wrong?

    I have some textarea and textfields created dynamically. I have set of rules in a text file. How can I have these rules popup when users make mistakes(e.g., forgets to capitalize the name)?
    Please provide your input.
    Thx.

    Mike
    From your addendum I'm guessing you are wanting to do this with a JSP or servlet. If so Ali's suggestion won't work becuase he's working with Swing components. It is always helpful if you specify the technology you're using: JDeveloper is a tool for writing many different types of Java programs.
    If you want to produce pop-up windows in JSP then you have to use JavaScript.
    If you're using DataWebBeans and want to use JavaScript you have to change (ie subclass) the WebBeans so that they have HTMLFieldRenderers that allow you to attach Javacript to a TextField (or whatever). This is not a small job but is worth it for the flexibility you'll gain.
    If you're using datatags I should imagine it's easier because you can add JavaScript functionality directly to the HTML input fields e.g. in the Input page, but I imagine you'll still have to subclass your own datatags to do the same for the Update pages.

  • How can I configure EP for when user couldn't logon on if a session exists?

    Hi everybody
    I need configure on SAP EP this condition, but I don't know how can I do it?
    1. User 1, logon to SAP EP on computer 1.
    2. Then the user changes the ubication, then the user try to logon on computer 2, when he try to log on SAP EP. It returns and error because, a session of logon is on.
    Note: SAP EP can't permit, that any user can logon for more two times on server.

    I don't think you can quiet achive that. Reason being portal is a stateless. That means when you make initial request to portal, make a logon and then land at the page having some roles, navigation menus, content area etc all it store is a cookie. It neither store any information of who has just logged on nor who navigated from Role A to Role B.
    When you navigate through TLN or call an iView, portal consider it as a new request. This time too portal does not know who has made a request. Now the question is how does it know if a specific iView is to be displayed as it is assigned to you or not? This is done using a cookie named saplogon ticket. When you make a request inside portal, all it have is this cookie and no information of who you are? So it just checks the cookie for the authorization and OKs the request and hence you get access to iView or a role or whatever.
    Now coming back to your scenario, when user has already logged on from computer 1, say saplogon ticket1 is created and is used for further navigation and authnetication. However, when you try to logon from computer 2, your portal session does not have any information about saplogon ticket1, instead it generates its own cookie say saplogon ticket2.
    That means, portal cannot retain the state of the earlier request made by you from computer 1.
    I hope this clears your question.

  • How to stop the Flex application when user clicks on Cancel button from JS-confirm message?

    Hi All,
    I use the next code when a user clicks on a link:
    private function clickHandler():void
          ExternalInterface.call('confirm', 'Of course you want to go to the Adobe forums!');
          navigateToURL(new URLRequest('http://forums.adobe.com'), '_self');
    This will show up the javascript confimation box. But when the cancel-button is clicked, the user goes straightly to http://forums.adobe.com...
    How to stop Flex performing the next code when a user clicks on the Cancel button?
    Or, how to catch which button is clicked by a user in Flex?
    Thanks!

    I agree with Mr. Hall that using mx.controls.Alert in Flex may be a better route.
    Show the Alert like this:
    // show an alert with a question and yes and no choices
    Alert.show( "Would you like to go to the Adobe Forums?", "Question",
         Alert.YES | Alert.NO, this, closeHandler, null, Alert.YES );
    Then handle the response in the closeHandler() function:
    protected function closeHandler( closeEvent:CloseEvent ):void
    if( event.detail == Alert.YES )
         navigateToURL( new URLRequest('http://forums.adobe.com'), '_self' );
    else if( event.detail == Alert.NO )
         // they chose no
    The following documentation on Alerts may be helpful:

    Let me know if that helps...

  • How can I change the icon for the bookmarks menu button

    Using linux, the default icon for the bookmarks menu button is quite ugly. Is there a way to change the icon for the button with some code in userChrome.css ?

    After several intents, I found a solution.
    This is my userChrome.css file:
    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");
    toolbarbutton[class="toolbarbutton-1"]#bookmarks-menu-button image[class="toolbarbutton-icon"] {

    -moz-image-region: rect(0px, 0px, 0px, 24px) !important;}
