HI,
Can anybody explain me the procedure to transport the objects between servers.
rajini

Hi Rajini,
Goto -> RSA1 -> Transport connection ->SAP Transport ->Click on Object types.
You will get all Object types in the next tab. Select the process chain object type and find your process chain and transfer.
Selected process chain will be appear in right side tab. Check the Objects and transport them.

  • How to test the process chains

    hi sap gurus,
Can anybody tell me how to test the Process chains before i load real time data,i run process chains every morning 6.15 am,before that i want to test every process is linked to another.
    thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Scheduling the process is the only way to check whether it is running fine or not. The process chains should be checked first in the Dev server and then in the QA server before transported to Prod.
You can also check the process chain using the "check" button to see if the processes are in the proper sequence or not.
There is a "log" button to keep track of the progress of the chain

  • Errors transporting process chains

    Hi,
we got some problems while transporting process chains.
The error occurs in the method execution. The transport log says:
Start of the after-import method for object type R3TR RSPC (Activation Mode).
Version 'M' of chain <i><name of the chain></i> was saved without checking.
    0 Chains Were Selected.
    Message no. RSPC031
Specifying process chain ID <i><name of the chain></i>, type V2&', and variant '' has resulted in the selection of 0 process chains. The selection has been called without confirmation by the user. This means that the user was unable to make a selection.
    The function is terminated.
There is probably an error in the program. Look for corresponding notes.
We can't find any notes for this error message. The whole thing is confusing, because sometimes we find the chain in the target system, sometimes not.
Has anybody experiences with this kind of problem and how to solve it?
    Thanks.
    Knut

    Hi,
Did you make sure that you transported all the process variants that the chain is using?
Please, check that by going to transport connection and transporting your process chain.
We always use that method to transport process chains: first getting all variants from the chain on transport connection and putting them on a transport request. Second establishing the start time of the PC and finally activating and scheduling the PC. You then release and transport that order.
Which version is your system? 3.0B?
    Regards,
    David.

  • Transport Process Chain

I have created the Process Chain in Development.
This Process Chain is working fine in Development.
I know collected and transported it into QA environment, but the Process Chain is not active in QA.
In the transport log, I have the following warning message:
Version 'M' of chain ZTR_PO_001 was saved without checking
No destination maintained in target client 350 -> Not activated
but in Development, this Process Chain is working fine. Is it because I didn't collect it correctly?
In Transport, I can see the Process Chain, how can I tell if the Process Chain is in Active version?
    What should I do?

    Hi ,
It seems that you have missed some objects associated with the process chain in the  transport .
Did the transport request collected the infopackages/dtps associated with the processchain .
While collecting the process chain in DEV , select the option 'DataFlow Before and Afterwards ' under the grouping tab.
It will collect all the objects associated with the process chain.
And then transport it to QA system .
This would resolve your issue .

  • Transport process chain by transport connection step by step

    Hello expert:
how to transport process chain by transport connection step by step?
    Many thanks,

Go to RSA1 -> Transport Connection.
Make sure Only Necessary objects is selected under Grouping.
Expand Process Chain -> Click on Select Objects -> Search for the process chain you want to transport.
    Select it and click transfer.
When finished collecting - Click on the Red Truck. Create a transport request when prompted to create a request.
Then go to SE10 or SE09 -> Find your request and right click and select release on your transport request as well as the task under it.
After it is released you can check the log by clicking on the log button and see if your transport moved successfully to target system.
    Good Luck.

  • HOW TO STOP THE PROCESS CHAIN WHICH IS RUNNING IN THE PRODUCTION?

    HI ALL,
CAN ANYONE TELL ME HOW TO STOP THE PROCESS CHAIN WHICH IS RUNNING DAILY AT 5.00 PM. I NEED TO STOP THE PROCESS CHAIN FOR COUPLE OF DAYS AND THEN RESTART IT AGAIN.
cAN ANYONE TELL ME THE PROCEDURE TO STOP THE ENTIRE PROCESS CHAIN RUNNING IN THE PRODUCTION.
    THANKS
    HARITHA

    Hi,
First and foremost let me advice you to be very careful while doing this.
    For Rescheduling
RSPC> chain > Goto > Planning view and
click on Execution tab > select > Remove from Schedule and then in Maintain variant of start process reschedule for the day you require it to run.
    For terminating active chain
You can start from SM37, find the process WID/PID then go to SM50 or SM51 and kill it. Once its done come back to RSMO and check the request, it should be red but again manually force to red and save by clicking on the total status button in the status tab. This shuld ensure that the process is killed properly.
The next step will be to go to targets that you were loading and remove the red requests from those targets.
Note: For source system loads you may have to check if the request is running in the source system and kill if needed and pull it again.
But for BW datamart delta loads u may have reset the datamarts in case u are going to pull the delta again.

  • How to move the process chain from Unassigned node to a new node in 3.5?

    Hi all,
I have created a new process chain in the development and it is falling under the Unassigned nodes. I want to move that process chain to an another node. but i am unable to do that
Can anyone let me know how to move the process chain from unassigned node. I have drag and dropped but still the same in BW 3.5 ?
    Thanks
    Poooja

    Hello,
    Try this....
Double click on your process chain. Via the menu select:
Process chain > Attributes > Display components
    Select F4 (possible entries)
At the bottom of the window you will find a create icon
    to make your own component.
After you created it, assign it to your process chain.
Don't forget to save the process chain.

  • How to Notify if Process Chain DOES NOT complete?

How do I use Process Chains to notify me if the end process of a chain DOES NOT run by a certain time? Example: Chain starts at 6PM every night, always finishes by 7:30. If it doesn't complete by 8:00, I want to be notified. I can spawn an event on completion of the chain, but the 8PM job has to notify me ONLY IF this event is not active. How to do that?

Well you can make the ABAP process type send message
RSPC>from main menu Settings>Maintain process types
change mode -->select process type "ABAP" and change "possible events" to "Process ends successful or Incorrect" save it.
come out of process chain and goto the process chain maintenance again.
In regards to your question of 18 steps ,as i said you only need this ABAP process type once at the END of the Process chain to SET the flag status = X.
Another Process chain runs at 8.00 with only one process type ABAP process type to check the status in table if empty or X and send message accordingly,
Fyip - table  RSPROCESSLOG and FM - RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH also available at your disposal to get some leads.
You can wait until some one has better solution and implemented it before,i just put my thoughts in to it,its not imperative for you.
I leave the thoughts with you.
    Hope it Helps

  • How to Stop the process chain if it in the middle of the process?

    Hi,
Is there anyway that i can stop the process chain if it is in the middle of the process already?
    Raj

    "Hi,
First and foremost let me advice you to be very careful while doing this.
You can start from SM37, find the process WID/PID then go to SM50 or SM51 and kill it. Once its done come back to RSMO and check the request, it should be red but again manually force to red and save by clicking on the total status button in the status tab. But for BW datamart delta loads u may have reset the datamarts in case u are going to pull the delta again.
Different Ways to stop process chain
    1)SM37 -->Kill Job
    2)SM50/sm66- ->Kill process
3)RSPC>Job Log>Make the process RED forecefully.
    4)RSPC>Process chain> main Menu"Remove from Scheduling" OR
    5)se37-->RSPC_API_CHAIN_INTERRUPT
give RFC BW system name(technical) and process chain name(technical)
Steps 1 -3 stops the chain running in process
Steps 4-5 stops the chain AFTER the current job which is running is completed as sucessful or Failure by nature.
    Rationale - 4-5
This function will only remove the jobs from schedule, which did not yet run. It will not kill running jobs, as this may leave the system in an inconsistent state, moreover killing processes is possible for synchronous processes only anyhow. This means, that there will be no errors with interrupted chains, which on the other
hand means an interrupted chain is not restartable. So for a running chain this function is intended to be an emergency break only. You can use it, however, to remove a scheduled chain from schedule, such that it does not start except by your product.

    Hi Experts,
Can you please let me know how to debug completed Process chain.
In my Process Chain, we have one ABAP step to update Z-Table entries.
But it was updated wrong entry into Z-Table.
Now i want to debug ABAP step in Process chain which was completed successfully (This is Monthly load).
I have tried to debug the back ground job but it throws an error message in middle of the debugging.
Could you please tell me how to debug ABAP step in completed Process Chain.

1.Go to RSPC to view all the chains.
2.There click on any chain which you want to run/view.
3.Click on the log view(shift+F1) to view all the previous runs of the chain and whether they have failed or successful(here you can select 1 day, week ,month etc in the display range)
4.If you want to modify the chain /add a process type /change the variant then click (Ctrl+F9) and do the changes.
Even you can change the start variant in change mode for manual scheduling>right click on start process typeselect display variant--now select start Direct Scheduling/ API or Metachain
under direct scheuling option you can trigger it by setting start immediately /Date-time/After job/event whatever you want to do
Else you can make it part of a Metachain consisting of different such small local process chains.
Now Click on Schedule (F8) to run this chain manually.
    5.For Monitoring use Tcodes SM37/RSPCM/SM50
    Also you can use BWCCMS.
I usually prefer sm37 to view all the background jobs but SM50 is also useful.
6.debug loop can be used to debug a process chain.(you have to specify here the gap between one event been triggered and the next subsequent process starting)
to capture process in debugger go to SM37(job overview) or to SM50(process overview)
    Hope this would help you.

  • How to kill a process chain in an intermediate step...?

How to kill a process chain in an intermediate step...?
I have tried doing it using SM37... but still the chain is hanging....
    Please help ASAP...
    Regards
    Sneha

    Hi Sneha,
If its a loading process then:
    1. Go to monitor & make its overall status RED.
    2. Go to the target & make the QM status RED.
    3. Since its loading data to BW, its R/3 will be active even if you make any status RED in BW.
    4. Cancel its corresponding R/3 job. U'll get its R/3 job from monitor>Header tab>Job name. Copy that job name& go to R/3 side>sm37>in Job name add B*followed by the job name copied & then delete the Active job.
Once this is done then your loading process will anyhow stop further stopping the Process chian.
If your job is other than loading, then simply go to that process chain & remove the link between the active process nad the next process after cancelling the active job (as mentioned in the various replies for your question).
Give some time to update the staus of that cancelled job in Db, because even if you cancel any active job, it requires some time to refresh it updated status. Once it is cancelled you can rejoin the link between the proceses and reactivate & schedule your process chain.
    hope it'll help

  • How to know the process chain start time & end time?

    HI all .
how to know the process chain start time & end time at the table level as well as in RSPC level .
    regards,
    Srinivas

    Hello,
there is a program "/ssa/bwt" which will help you to know the exact time when the process was started and ended.
but the thing is you have to provide name of the process chain with the date at which it was executed.
another option is - you can double click on start process and on the last process of the chain.
here, you will get both the timings... Start time of the start process will be the start time of your PC and end time of the last process in the chain will be end time of your PC.
    Hope this will help you.
