How can you change track length times in itunes?

I use itunes now for all music media, and have gone to the extraordinary pains of sorting and importing all of my music so that it is now all digitally stored...
The curious thing is that in itunes, it reports some track lengths as being way longer than they actually are. It doesn't affect the playback, it just looks wrong in the listing in the library - for example - the U2 album, 18 singles, has some ridiculously long track lengths - like track 2 - Beautiful Day, which itunes says is 19:22 minutes. It plays normally, and ends after about 4 mins as it should, but is there a way to manually edit track length times?
I've tried fiddling with the Get Info tab - "options" where you have the start and stop times, but this doesn't make any difference at all to the track lengths as listed in the main library. Any ideas?

Most likely you converted these songs to MP3 VBR (Variable Bit Rate) using a program that does not properly set the VBR tags.

I too have problems importing CDs. I get an error message that says, "Error occurred while converting the file, you do not have enough privileges". Click "Manage My Account", sign in, and go to the Password and Security section. If you've forgotten your answers, there should be a link just under the security questions fields where you can have a reset email sent to your Rescue email address. If the link for the email doesn't appear, as can happen if you didn't set a rescue email address or (apparently) have a .Mac email address, go here:

to report the issue to the iTunes Store.

Still not sure what version of Premiere Elements that you are using. But, the following should apply nonetheless
What you describe is what I have described in my blog post and for which I have discussed all aspects of the issue. There
is no workaround to force the program to give you more than you are getting now without other clips also on the track(s). The
blog post just about says it all.
You might have to weigh the pros and cons of
a. Recording your narrations as .wav files in a free audio editor such as Audacity
Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder
and then importing those into your Premiere Elements project with Premiere Elements' Add Media/Files and Folders/Project Assets from where you drag the narration to the Narration Track.
b. Put any video clips on the Timeline when you are recording your Premiere Elements narrations with its Narration Tool. Then remove these video clips and replace them with the real thing when you are ready to put narration and clips into the project.

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.

Great question. The line access fees for the account are a set amount and can not be changed unless you are going from a basic to a smartphone or vice versa. If you are having trouble reading your texts you can increase the font size until it becomes clear. Put in a feature request for the colour change though, it won't happen unless people ask for it.

I downloaded Tinkertool. Found the font section and increased the size of most selections. The only thing that changed that I can see is the window label. The apple line, bookmarks line, the tool bar in safari are all the same---font size of about 4. Found the finder "show view options" but that didn't seem to change anything either. I'll keep working. Restarted all apps after changes as well.
