How can you close 10 open apps at once on iPad retna mini

Is it possible to do the above as the title says.

No. And, it is not necessary if they are all in the background.

When you double click the home button.  You see the App Icon below and an open view of the app page above.  Swipe the open view page upwards and the app closes.

  • How can you close an email after reading without either deleting it or saving it somewhere?  I use AOL and it just goes to "old mail" after you have read the email.

How can you close an email in Apple iPad after reading it without deleting it.  I use AOL and in their application it just goes to "old mail" after you have read it.  In Apple's email it stays open. Very annoying.

You cannot actually close an email in the mail app on the iPad. You can tap on the drafts folder or any empty folder that you migh have when you are done reading the email and then the blank white window will appear in the mail app.
The mail app will always show emails otherwise. That is just the way that it works currently on the iPad.

  • I want to know HOW to CLOSE Multiple Open Apps at ONCE. I keep mistakenly opening lots of things at one time.

I want to know HOW to CLOSE Multiple Open Apps at ONCE. If I have many apps going at one time and want to stop fast, surely there is a way to hit like(alt-F4 in Windows) and BAM! They all go down. I need a feature like that...

Alt+F4 in Windows only closes the active program.
Command+Q does the same thing for Mac. Just keep hitting that key combo untill all are closed.

  • HT204266 how can you tell if an app update is free?

I constantly get app updates, it seems as if I am be charged for them, how can you tell if an app update is free?

I have never been charged for an app update. Which apps are you being charged to update? There should be no charge for an update.
If you upgrade the app from a lite version to a full version, there will be a charge for that.

How can I delete a bad app completely from my iPad mini in order to re-download it as though I never had it?

Yes, it will now always show that you purchased it, but with it deleted from ipad, when yu click the icon to download again, it will download the latest versioon available from the app store.
You cannot delete what is in the app store. nor can you erase your previous history of purchasing the app.

I have already turned off the retsore windows in system prefes and I dont have any auto startup items... so what gives, can someone tell me how to stop them from opening up? I suppose I could go and close every app before I take my laptop off its power plug (battery is dead now days)... but I was just hoping there was some otehr way rather than going into each app before I pick up and run.

Kind of...but not exactly. This has been discussed at length over the last few months.
