How can you delete an app without losing saved data/progress? Is there a way through iCloud? I have an 8gb 4th gen iPod touch. I have a lot of music, so with 8gb, space is limited. Some apps I have take up 20-30 MB. Some of these games I don't play that much, but I don't delete them because I have made a lot of progress (levels, scores, acheivements). It would be nice to delete some of these 30 MB apps that take up precious space, and them redownload them in the future when I have more space, but without having to start the whole game over.
Also, I read somewhere that there might be a way to do this with iCloud, but I don't really know how.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

You will need to keep them in folder on your hard drive somewhere other than in iTunes or they will be deleted from iTunes if you delete them from the device. I have a folder on my Mac called iPad Pages Documents - very original don't you think!

To remove the card's details from your iTunes account, tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - on your account's page there should be a payments link. If you are trying to gift content then you will need to have a credit card on your account, your balance can't be used for gifting ; if you are trying to buy for yourself and you have a credit card on your account then its details need to be correct and complete - but your balance should be charged for the purchase. -

I think you are mistaken. Store Credit is used first, then your credit card is used after. But if you are trying to buy a gift, you can't use store credit, so then it tries to use your CC.
If you have just changed anything in your billing, or making a purchase for the first time, it will ask to verify your CVV. This is normal, and does not mean it will charge the CC. It does this for preauthorization reasons, and other things we can't quite discuss here.
