    Here is help for the operating system:
    If you are locked to iOS 3 then you have an iPod Touch 1st Gen.
    If you are locked to iOS 4 then you have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen.
    If you are locked to iOS 5 then you have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
    If you are locked to iOS 6 then you have an iPod Touch 4th Gen.
    If you can get iOS 7 and have an iPhone 5 sized screen [bigger] you have the current iPod Touch 5th Gen.
    I assume since it says you have iOS 5.1.1 you have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
    Also, you may want to sync it so iTunes can tell you or you can look at the model number on the back.

      One may not accurately pin point the LDB for ones requirement. But there some ways.
    1. You can find with respect to the application you are working on. You can refer to the Table field TRDIR-APPL. The following are the values it has. So suppose if you have requirement for HR you can search for application 'P' :

    You cannot, nor do you need to, until you reach the limit of 5.  At that point you can deauthorize all, then authorize the active computers.

    I am wondering if there is a quick way to know how many songs are checked in "Your Music"? I tried to select all (ctrl+a) but didnt see a number. I have heard there is a 10,000 song limit. Is this still the case? I use the check feature to denote preffered songs on albums, and keep track of what I have listened too.     When you use the ctrl+a and all songs are highlighted, if you start to drag all tracks as you would when adding to a playlist, does a small context window open next to your mouse pointer informing you how many tracks you are dragging?
    And sadly yes currently there is a 10,000 track limit in YOUR MUSIC. I still use playlists to add stuff and keep me aware of new things I add by date added to playlists and to know when something needs listening to next.
    Now you can always uncheck content added under either SONGS or ALBUMS under YOUR MUSIC. And add new content each time if you are wanting to use it as a way to keep up with new stuff not listened to yet. Just click on either the tracks or albums check marks and click on the X on mouse hover to change them from a check mark to an X to remove those items, and you should be able to change out content that way.
