How can you have 2 users on an iPad?

I have an iPad that needs to be shared with another person in my office. How can I sign out and let her sign in so that each time our own personal apps and emails show up? Is this even possible?

You can't. iDevices are single-user devices. The other person in the office needs to have her own device.

We do. We each sign in our out with our own Apple ID's and we can share the same iPad that way.

How can I have multiple users on one apple ID?
ie: I have my apple ID with my own credit, how can I set up credit for my son under the same apple ID, so that he can still access the same apps I've already downloaded and paid for?

I've been trying to figure out a clean way to do this too. I think you may need more than one Apple ID – one that is shared and used to purchase "sharable" items and then "individual" Apple IDs for you and your son. That's the idea that I'm pursuing for the moment.
It seems that there must be a way to do this, App Store purchases for the Mac are licensed across multiple machines. iPhone app purchases have "all your devices" licensing. Makes me think that Apple has a process in mind for sharing an account (or associating a device with multiple accounts).
    Other things I've learned:
    - Apparently you can't merge Apple ID accounts. I asked about this once at an Apple Store and was told that there was no way to do it.
    - If you share an Apple ID the Messages app behaves in a somewhat surprising manner. It must use your Apple ID to decide where messages should be sent because all users get all messages. This can make it very hard to organize a surprise party :-)

  • Can you have multiple users for one account?

Can you have multiple users for one account? if so how do you set it up.
We are using it for our department and it would be great to see who created what form instead of it being all one name.

Each person should have their own account. You can easily share the forms with other people in your department. You will be able to see who the author of the form is.

Double click on the swatch in the swatches palette.
In most case you can do that , unless for example you have a placed image that has that color in a spot channel.

  • How can I have multiple users on iTunes (in order to connect to a shared office iPad)?

How can I have multiple users on iTunes (in order to connect to a shared office iPad)? Currently each of us has our own iTunes account, so I've made an "all office" Apple ID. However, I can't seem to get two different accounts (my personal and the office) to work on my machine. Even when I login as "the office", my personal library is still showing. Additionally, when I try to setup with a first-time use in iTunes, I get an error that I don't meet the minimum age requirement - no matter what birthdate I enter!

The library exists regardless of which user is logged in.
The only way around that is to create different user accounts on the computer.
There is no way to have 20 unique iTunes users access a shared iTunes under a single login on the computer.

  • How can you create a user using mbean

Or if you already created a user via console,

Thanks Wayne. I'll have to try that. Although I'm wondering, doesn't Oracle have plans to use one-way password encryption at some point? making this method of password retrieval break?
I've also found the following article. It talks about how the OIM API can get an authenticated user session from the authenticated WLS session. It's tantalizing! But doesn't really match my use case or reveal the inner mechanics of how the OIM API gets what it needs from WLS; and therefore I don't think I can subvert that mechanism to do impersonation.

Another approach I'm looking at, which works if all i want to do is fire up a session for one specific user (e.g. an unprivileged service account), is to use creds (username and password) stored in the WLS Credential Store (CSF). See appendix A in:

  • In print preview - how can you have multipage previews of the document - 1 - 2 - 3- 6 - 12 page preview and so on so that you can see if the document is ok to print?

WINXP - In Explorer you can have multi-page print previews from 1, 2, 3, 6 upwards to check and confirm that the document will print correctly to your needs - and does this across the screen format as opposed to down the page, so that you can see all 12 pages on your screen to quickly see that the print percentage is correct and all pages fall into the print area and so on - how can you set this up with Firefox, because printing with Firefox is so unstable, you don't know what to expect when printing a document or web page?

No what I mean is how can you see many pages across the screen without having to scroll like in explorer where you can see 12 or more small pages on your screen without scrolling down, like tiled across your screen as opposed to vertical down the page. Thanks

  • How can you disassociate a user from a computer in Profile Manager?

Our elementary school manages around 250 Macs.  This year, we upgraded all our Macs and Mac Servers to Mavericks.  We're now embracing Profile Manager as a replacement for WorkGroup Manager.  This has not been a smooth transition.  I really like Profile Manager, or at least what Profile Manager purports to be.  But, we're running in to really odd issues that we just can't seem to figure out.  Specifically, the issue we're having now is that we've noticed that when a student logs in to a Mac, Profile Manager recognizes that student being associated with that Mac.  We can push out profile changes to that student's account and, though not perfect, will usually provide the updated settings within moments.  However, when the student logs in to a different Mac, Profile Manager now associates that Mac with the student also.  So, the next time a payload is sent out, there are two Active Tasks attempting to update each of the Macs that the student has logged in to.  This would make sense if the student if the student regularly used both Macs. But this issue persists even when that Student's user account has been removed from the Mac.  The student only has one user account on one Mac out of all the Macs in the elementary school, but when we deploy profile changes, it wants to update the student's account on two, three or however many Macs that student has ever logged in to.  This is a particular problem for some students accounts who we used for testing and troubleshooting.
I feel like there's something basic that I'm missing, but I just haven't been able to figure it out yet.  Any help or advise with Profile Manager would be greatly appreciated!

Once you have enabled this you will then need to go to:
    http://www.verizon.com/fiostvcentral
Logon with your primary VZ email credentials and then access your DVR and channel guide.  At the channel guide you can hit the record button.

  • How can I have a user automatically login?

I have an admin account but i want to enable the guest account. But when i start the computer i want it to login straight to the admin, but enable the guest account, so I can just log off the admin then login if i want to use the guest.
Not the best explanation. but i tried.

    Hi.
I think you have the right idea regarding not always using an administrator account when at your computer. What you may not understand is the limited function of the Guest User account. Specifically, the Guest User account is wiped clean when the user logs out.  It is truly meant to be for those odd times when someone, a guest, wishes to use your computer for some limited task.
Having said that, what you DO want to do is set up another Standard user account which you will use on a day to day basis for yourself, to eliminate any of the risks associated with having an admin account logged on all the time.
Here are a small handful of Apple support documents regarding what you want to do.
OS X Lion: If you don't see a login window when you start...
OS X Lion: Create user accounts for others
OS X Lion: Set up a guest account
This is all administered in System Preferences > Users& Groups
    I hope this is helpful.

  • How can you have multiple, different css link styles?

Every time I want to create a different looking link just for some copy, it always reverts to the A:link style, even if I create a new style that looks just the way I want. How can I create multiple link styles and then be able to select the one I want at any time???
I would greatly appreciate any help.
    Allan

How are you applying the different styles to your links? In most cases, it's easiest to wrap the link(s) in an element, like a < div > that has a class or ID assigned, for instance class="altLinks". Then, set up the CSS style names like:
    .altLinks a:link
...and so on. Then, the styles would just apply to links within the element(s) with class "altLinks". Here's a tutorial that might also help:

Otherwise, if you're still having trouble, post back with a link to your page so we can see what's going on.

  • HT5622 How can I change the user of the IPad??

Any body knows how to change the user of the IPad 1

Sure.  Erase the old user's information by doing:
Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
Then the new user will set up the iPad as if it just came out of the box.
