If you remove the battery the CPU power will be cut by 50% (whatever they told you) so that there's no lack of power or overheating issues. It's best to always keep the battery in.

I do not know the iWire adapter, but I use an inexpensive ($3) DVI to HDMI adapter from Monoprice, along with a regular HDMI cable:

Be aware that this will only transfer video. You Macbook Pro cannot combine audio through DVI to HDMI. You will need to listen to the audio through the Mac speakers, or attach speakers or a sound system to the Mac earphone jack, or determine if your TV has the ability to accept external sound from the Mac while showing video through HDMI (few can).

try this;
open disk utility - verify disk permissions - repair disk permissions if errors are found. might take an hour or less - depending on how much errors needs to be repaired.
restart your macbook and see if that sorts it out for you.
also check your hard drive space. if your hard drive is almost full, that will also contribute to your macbook getting slower....

You can't, currently only the iPhone has the personal hotspot function, it hasn't been enabled on the iPad - whether it will be possible in the future I don't know

OT ~ We keep becoming more and more aware of how easy it is to lose one's bearings when it comes to keeping up with info tech. My husband and I are both official members of the geezer set and have been out of the work force for some years. You really do pick up so much just by being in the environment where people are using things to get work done. A couple of old MP3 players, PPC G5, and a vintage Inspiron 3800 that someone didn't want any more is about it. No cell phone, no iPod, no iPad, no home wireless network, no streaming media. Fixed income. So we do with what we can as long as we can. If we could get by without that Intel processor, we'd probably make do with what we've got. On the other hand, we've really wanted a notebook for a very long time and have to admit that needing to upgrade to accomodate my husband's project is pretty much just the "reason" we need. I really mean it when I say that we are beyond appreciative that users take the time to share info and patiently educate those of us who fall into the "slow tech" category.

If you want to erase the disk, reinstall Mac OS X and your Mac didn't come with DVDs or you have OS X Mountain Lion or Lion:
1. Press Command and R keys while your Mac is starting.
2. Open Disk Utility, choose Macintosh HD in the sidebar and erase the drive.
3. Install Mac OS X.
If your Mac came with DVDs:
1. Insert the OS X DVD that came with the Mac and press C key while your Mac is starting.
2. Go to Utilities > Disk Utility, choose Macintosh HD in the sidebar and erase the drive.

You can't. The KX-MB722 is one of the few remaining printers in the class of devices called "Windows Printers" that has no on-board printing software -- it relies on a host computer to provide all of the software functionality and Panasonic only provides such software for certain versions of Microsoft Windows. In this case, it means a 32-bit version of Microsoft Windows (2000-XP, though it will probably reliably on Windows versions up to 7). Even if you could open Disk Utility you can't reformat a disk while you are booted from it. You will have to use the install CD. Ring the Apple Online Store at the number given at bottom left of this page and give them the serial number of your Mac. You should be able to get the Snow Leopard install disks for a nominal fee.

You can just download the free ClamXav and scan your entire drive - but as there are no known viruses for OS X (although there is malware - see Thomas Reed's excellent Mac Malware Guide) it's very unlikely that you have a virus.
The best source against malware is OS X itself and common sense. Don't click on links in suspicious emails and be careful of anything that wants to install something on your computer that is not from a reputable source.

I can only see 3 advantages of the 2.5 GHz version.
1. Faster processor, but is anyone going to notice that tiny increase ...... it's laughable.
2. Twice as much VRAM but the base model has enough for all the apps in Final Cut Studio 2, so why would you need more unless you are an extremely busy pro .......... but if that were the case you would not be using a laptop. (Cue indignant protests!)
3. 50GB more HD which again is a minute increase. If you are doing video you should ideally keep all your big media files on an external FireWire HD.

I'm not sure where on the internet or which store you mean -- but if you mean an Apple advertisement on the internet and an Apple Store, note that there was an ad for MacBooks that showed them with a variety of stickers but Apple does't sell the stickers and not all of the ones shown in the ad were commercially available.
