Hi, your video file needs to be converted to eg. a .mov or .mp4 file before iMovie will recognise. I use 4Media MP4 converter and it works excellent.
For the rotating I do not have an answer, but if you would manege you would end up with a very narrow image either way.

Depends on the extent of the edits. You will need Acrobat in any case. If the edits or minor, you can use the text edit tool. For major edits, you need to request the original file be sent or see if you can Save As a DOC or related file type. PDFs are not really structured for editing and you are asking for a lot of grief if you want to do much. Exporting is the best way, or even better simply asking the author for the original (non-PDF type).

Templates, as I understand them, are fixed; you can "fill them in" without shifting them. Yet, I've saved doc as a template AND it shifts. Argh!

I've managed to fix it but I wouldn't recommend the following as I'm sure its unsupported and I'll probably have problems down the line
On the host
* mv /etc/zones /etc/zones.bak
* reboot single user
* apply kernel patch (the one that ultimately I had to get on and which was giving pre-req dependency errors when running zones)
* create a new zone now that host system is all up to date
* Copy the operating system directories of the new zone (the one that's all patched) over the troublesome zone (the one that can't take the patch). Take backups first
* cd /zones/new-zone/root
* find sbin -print | cpio -pudm /zones/bad-zone/root
* find usr -print | cpio -pudm /zones/bad-zone/root
* find lib -print | cpio -pudm /zones/bad-zone/root
* cd /zones/new-zone/root/var
* find sadm -print | cpio -pudm /zones/bad-zone/root/sadm (this copies patches and pkgs directories and I'm sure a lot of other stuff that I didn't want)
* mv /etc/zones.bak /etc/zones
* reboot host
* boot the old zone up. It should now have up to date patches
I'm sure there are real no-no's in taking this approach but it seems to have worked for me. I'll update if I find there are some horrors down the line

Jus what do you want to accomplish? The Apple ID email address is used for variosu thing onthe iPod like:
- For purchasing media. Srrings.iTunes and App stores. Sing out and sign into anoterh account
- Settings>iCLoudl for iCloud account
- Settings>FaceRome for Apple ID and where You can Be Reached At email address
- Settings>Messages for Send And Receive email address.
- Maybe for Game Center

Is there a way to recover a word document that was auto saved before a power outage?

I was working on a document that was previously saved, went to the save the darn thing, and of course the power zapped out. It was in word 2010? and even when searching for "AutoRecovery" files it is not there. just the original document opens, not the modified one. Please if anyone knows how to find a recovered one, or if it is even possible can you let me know.

I was assuming you meant 2011 and not 2010 since 2010 is a Windows version and not Mac
First a disclaimer, right now I am on a PC and not my Mac so there may not be a one-to-one matchup.
Clicking on the main Word drop down, this may be under Preferences, I have a Word Options button. From there do you have Allow Background Saves checked? Also, the button File Locations; find AutoRecover Files and see where those are located. Then using Finder, go to that location and see if you can find a file with a date/time stamp for the time of the power outage. If there is a file, open and see if that is what you need.
If there are no files, or cannot find the recovery file location, there may not be much option than to try and redo all the work up to the power outage. Word is supposed to auto save, and take you to the last saved form of files before an exit that is not according to the rules...it is supposed to do that, or so it claims.

I brought an iphone 4 from 3 UK and brought it to Turkey and paid 115tl to register it and 35tl to Vodafone for unlocking. But the phone has been saying no service for the last 2 weeks. Vodafone has told me there is nothing they can do and that i just have to wait. How can i solve this problem, could it possible that the phone is still locked to 3 UK??

If 3 unlocked your device and confirmed it, then it should be unlocked.
Did you restore the device with the new SIM? If no, do it and it should be unlocked.
If its still locked, call AppleCare and they can tell you, if they can see in the system the unlock request from your carrier (AppleCare should be avaulable in Turkey now, or trough Skype the UK AppleCare).
If they dont see it there, then 3 did not unlock the device and you need to contact them.

How to fix problem with Gmail password that was working before and works online?

1. Thunderbird was working fine with my Gmail acct for months, then was unable to send a message, but can still receive incoming messages.
2. I was asked to re-enter my password and this did not fix the problem.
3. I went to Gmail online and logged in to verify my password had not changed. Success.
4. I reset password in Thunderbird, but still couldn't send test message to myself.
5. I deleted account in Thunderbird. Then I added a different Gmail acct that was not in Tbird. Success. Then I sent test email, success.
6. Then I re-added the original Gmail acct, Failure! It found the correct settings automatically, but when it tried to verify password, it failed. I repeated entering the password several times, but still failure.
7. WIN7 64bit HP, Tbird 24.4.0
8. All other AOL accts work fine on Tbird.
